Frustration Leaving Comments

I have been trying to leave comments tonight and it won't let me . I finally gave up after three attempts. I am having a little quality time reading all of your blogs. It makes a little irrated to say the least. Some of you have been lucky and some have not.
It has been another beautiful fall day, just to bad that it had to be spent inside. I have forgotten where I found my fall picture, but it is definitely my favorite time of the year.
September is almost gone and I don't have a clue as to where it has gone, but it has gone really fast. I will have to try again to post my daughter's Halloween decorations.
My children are getting pay back from when they were little with their own children. It is fun to be a grandparent and set back and watch. My youngest grandson got in an argument with his teacher of all things. He is just trying everybody's patience at the moment. He knows his ABC's and can count, but he wouldn't for his teacher. Last week he was in trouble about every day. This week has been better.
We had our Southside Festival, but it wasn't like other years. It turned off cold and rainy the weekend they had it. I don't think I would like to be a vendor in that respect.  They did have a good turn out for the baby contest. It was sunny that afternoon.
Well I am going to try to visit some more of you. Wish me luck.

Just listed in my Etsy Shop

My Halloween tea towels have arrived in my etsy shop this afternoon.
The first three are listed and the 4th one is from the bridal shower gift and I am in the process of making it. It is almost done. I will be adding them as I get them done.
The weather has been absolutely beautiful this weekend. In the 40's of a morning and warms up in the afternoon. It is 66 degrees as I write my blog this afternoon.
The sun is shining and makes it feel so good to be outside in the fresh air. There is some color in the trees showing officially that fall has arrived.
I have been very busy with work so I haven't been able to read like I want. Plus I am waiting for my new glasses that should have already been here. They chipped my left lens when they was putting them in the frames. Of course that is the eye that I need the most help with. It has a cataract forming on it, but it isn't big enough to operate on yet.
We went for a drive yesterday to see what flood damage there was around our power plant. It just looked like a lot of beach lot property. I don't think I could deal with what some of the people are having to deal with because of it. The river is almost bank in its banks and they are working hard to get the highways back open that has been effected.
Some of the quiet little towns would like to have some less traffic. They aren't use to it. You definitely have to have patience.
I am not looking forward to the week with everything that is going on right now. I was told just to take it one step at a time and it would happen. We shall see.
Hope you all have had a beautiful weekend. Enjoy your week.

Fall is Approaching

Are you ready for fall? The cooler temperatures of a morning with it warming up in the afternoon. Are you ready for a trip to look at all of the pretty  fall colors?
It is my favorite time of the year to travel. We have some trees starting to turn and this is what I am hoping my trees look like this year in my back acre.
My grandsons wants a bon fire so they can have smores and hot dogs. They have a fire pit and Matt thinks they need to put some wood in it so it will be ready.

This past weekend was rainy, cool, and if it wasn't raining then it was misting. Just not very good weekend to be out. I know I have caught a cold from getting wet one to many times. The voice is not very good from having to answer the phone all day and page who I needed at work.

The three Halloween tea towels will be listed in my etsy shop by the weekend. My pictures doesn't do them justice. They have a stripe border around the edge, it can be sage with a black stripe, blue, pumkin, red, just to name a few of the colors of the stripes.
If you have a special color, I would be more then happy to custom make you one or two. These are like the ones that was part of the bridal shower present.
It has been a very good stress reliever for me with my work load right now.
Keep your fingers, toes, legs crossed for me that we get to go south this next month on a mini vacation. I am need a few days away from work and everything else. We have a doctor appointment the 7th of October and if he says yes. We will head south to Branson on the 12th of October. We already have some shows that we want to see. My hubby has to see Ann Margaret who will be appearing with Andy Williams.
I want to see the 12 Irish Tenors that I wanted to see the last time we were down there. I just hope if we get to go it doesn't rain all the time we are gone.
It is already down to 61 degrees this evening. I have been stopping by just can't always leave a comment like I want.
Have a great week.

He won 1st Place

The last horse show was today and it was 4H  kids from 5 counties represented plus the therapeutic kids from the Broken Bow Ranch.
The picture is from an earlier show, but today his dream came true. He got his first first place in a class of seventeen kids. Some of the kids that he beat today had beat him most of the summer, but today was great. He got third in the trail class out of another big group so he really had a great day.
You couldn't have asked for better weather. It was in the low 70's and cloudy all day off and on. It looked as though it was going to rain, but never did.Although there was rain in the area just not there at the horse show arena.  It was a fun day for the kids with the games they played on their horses besides the other events. They got medals and everybody got some kind of gift for every event which really made it nice. They made every boy and girl feel special.  At the end of the day, there was a barbecue pork supper for all of the participants and parents, who wished to stay. We enjoyed the whole day. They let little brother ride even though he was not quite 7. He is only a little over a month away. He tried games that he had never done before and had a blast even though he didn't come near to winning. To be able to laugh as the kids got to try their hand at new things was the main thing.
I got all of the wedding and shower gifts made and delivered. Now to concentrate on other things for fun. I am anxious to hear how the bride to be liked her Halloween Tea towels. I hope she does.
I haven't spent that many hours outside in the fresh air for quite a while and it was really enjoyable.
We may have a little more rain this evening and we have already dropped down to 61 degrees so it will be chilly in the morning.
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend I am. We have remembered what happened 10 years ago tomorrow. We have had several events to honor those who lost their lives. One of our local high schools put a flag out for every one how lost their lives on one of the hills at their football field. It was neat how they arranged them. We had some church services to honor them. Our prayers go out to those who lost love ones in this horrible tragedy and to those who continue to fight to keep our freedom.
Have a great rest of the weekend.

PICTURES OF MY QUILT

Labor Day weekend was much to short with such beautiful weather. We had rain Saturday evening, but we managed to get into church and the reception without getting wet.
I was a little disappointed because my pictures didn't turn out of the bride and groom. She was a beautiful bride. I got to see family that I hadn't seen for a long time. The youngest was 3 weeks old and the oldest was in the 80's.
I thought I would show you pictures of my quilt and some of the Halloween tea towels and puppy tea towels that I made as a wedding presents. The last just has to be ironed and put in the box.  I am going to put my quilt  in my etsy shop, because I don't want family fighting over it and I only have the one done. My daughter would be the first to tell you she got it. She wanted to know where her Halloween tea towel was. She decorates the house for Halloween.
The print material is the back side. It is reversible so you can have either side up on your bed. It is a matter of taste and which you really want to show off.
The Halloween tea towels are for a bridal shower. They are two of the six that I made. I will be putting some in my etsy shop as quick as I get some more done. They won't be on the striped towel because I have to order some more of them. If you would like to order one, just send me an e-mail. I would be happy to oblige you.
The dog tea towels was done with some Valdani thread that I purchased from my friend Michelle at Raspberry Rabbit Blog. She is having a giveaway so you might want to pop over to see her.

I will be trying to catch up with my reading  and I have been stopping by just not getting to leave messages.

The ribbon design

T.
This will give you an idea of the ribbon design plus some of the other details that are on the quilt. I don't have a clue how many hours I have in embroidering it. I just know that when you at the hospital you have to have something to occupy your mind besides the illness that is being treated.

Labor Day Weekend

Are you ready for the weekend? Do you have a mini vacation planned ? I was so ready for time to go home tonight. It has been a long hectic week and I was glad to see it come to an end. We got everything taken care of and have the lumber setting on the ground for a big  project that is suppose to start this next weekend. We were happy that our supplier had it so that they wouldn't have to wait. Some people can be very impatient. Our plans so far for the weekend will be My great niece's wedding this Saturday evening with a dinner-dance following the ceremony. I made them a set of tea towels for their wedding present. I need to get back to doing some to sell. My Halloween ones are turning out pretty neat that I am making for my daughter-in-law to give as a shower gift. I have my first craft show the first weekend in November. My daughter-in-law and I will do it together. She was going to take a few days of vacation to have some me time and work on crafts that she wanted for the show. She and my son do wood working. I probably will do one craft show with my grandson. It is a good way to spend quality time with him.
With all the damage from the hurricane, the floods, the drought, the earthquakes and the fires will we ever return to normal. Do foreign countries offer to return some of the money that we have given when they had a disaster? I don't think there will ever be enough money to pay for everything that some people thinks we should. I just wish they would figure out a way to send water like they do other products to the areas that really need the water. We have pipelines running across our countryside for oil and gasoline, why not water.
I am quite sure some people would have loved to send water to Texas to help them. After being out of your house for over two months, and can't really get in to see how much damage there is would really be hard to take. I don't know how well I would be able to handle it if I was in their shoes. When you look across, the fields the crops are gone and it just looks like a big lake. They keep saying the river is going down, but I can't really see the difference as of yet. The air guard must think it is because they are returning things that they had moved to higher ground. They have even brought some of the C-130"s back to the base.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. If you travel, be safe. It may not be your driving, but the one coming from the other direction.
