Beautiful Sunday Afternoon

We just got back from a Sunday drive through the country side. It is so nice outside and makes you think that you are getting closer to the fall of the year. We are known to take off for wherever we want to go and never know where we will end up. We took a drive along the bluffs and river to Leavenworth, Kansas coming home a different way where you kind of make a circle. I will do some more work on my latest project so I can get some new things posted. All of the things that I do can seen athttp://shirleystitches.etsy.com/ . We also took time out to go see our grandsons new puppy, a Corgi name shorty seven weeks old and so very cute. Our 4 year old has so much fun playing with him, but they found out he doesn't like the rain. I will be talking with you all later.

Sept. 4th, 2008

I have been working trying to get my blog going, which I get frustrated at times when I can't get things to load like I want. I just keep trying.

We have a rainy two days. It has been in the 60's during the day and in the 50's at night. Our weather has been so very crazy. It makes you think of fall that is quickly approaching. I like the fall because of all of the colors of the leaves.

Anybody belong to Red Hat ladies. It is one of the organizations in our area, but unfortunately I am not retired from working yet.

I stayed up last night listening to our new lady vice president nominee. I wonder how many people will be prejudice against her. I think we need a change. Women do a lot besides raising our families, working, and everything else. I think we should have the opportunity to run for President if we so desire.

Sweet Dreams

http://www.shirleystitches.etsy.com/ Two of my latest creations have added to my etsy shop. I keep adding new things as I get them done. We just returned from a short trip to Branson over Labor Day weekend. I checked my shop to see if I had sold anything and still nothing. I keep wondering if I am doing something wrong that I haven't been able to get a sale. I keep hoping that some one will see something that they like. I will have more time to work with my husband going into the hospital to have dental work done. He has a bleeding disorder that requires hospitalization. I would like to hear from somebody to see what they think. Ihttp://shirleystitches@sbcglobal.net I have been listening to the rain. We have only dropped over 12 degrees and we are suppose to get to 58 degrees tonight. It makes you wonder if you need the air conditioning or the furnace. Our trip was enjoyable and what we needed to get away from everything even though I wished it could have been longer. We rode the dukw and took the tour of historic downtown Branson and we went out on Lake Taneycomo and enjoyed seeing the back side of the Landing. Seeing the new restaurants and all.
The Clay Cooper show was very enjoyable with country music, dancing, and comedy. A show for the whole family. I just wish we had more time but it wasn't possible this trip, maybe next.
