Lower Temperatures

We started the day off with being in a severe thunderstorm watching until 9 A.M. At least I got to work without getting wet, it doesn't feel very good to sit in the air-conditioning with wet clothes and shoes. Umbrella's don't work very good when the rain is coming at an angle and the angle is in the direction you are walking. We are in the 70's this evening and in the low 80's today with some cloud cover. We have had storms popping up all over since about 4 P.M. this afternoon. Predicting for more tonight and tomorrow so we will wait and see.
Tonight we went to dinner with our daughter-in-law and our two grandson's for her birthday. Our treat for her as we never know what to get her. Our son got her a dutch oven cookbook because she loves to cook and has already some recipes that she wants to try. We have a family reunion coming up the first of the month. It is a tradition that my parents started when they were alive. She is going to make one of the recipes that she wants to try and take it to the family get together. We will see how many of the six brothers and four sisters get together with our extended family. We have it in a senior center that we rent for the day because there is to many with help problems and can't be out in the heat.
I have been busy designing on paper how I think I want my booth to start. I have been busy on that and not on the computer as much. Plus I have been sharing with our son. He is on it quite a bit, and I usually wait until he goes to bed. The house is usually quiet and I have some time to myself. I have needed a little down time this evening with starting a new medication all because of an insurance company. I won't go there this evening. I will close tonight because I want to visit my friends in blog land to see what they have been doing. Have a good day.

Hi Shirley!!

It sounds like the birthday dinner was fun. I hope your DIL loves the book. I like cooking in a dutch oven because there is only one pot to clean!

I have been trying to stand the heat by staying in. Today I have to go out to get my hair done and I know it is going to wilt even with tons of hair spray! lol! We are supposed to have a lot of rain on Thursday...the grass and flowers really need it.

I hope you have a great time at your family reunion. It sounds like it will be a great time!

xoxo

WOW Shirley, I haven't been by for two posts and look what you're doin!!! Sorry I've been busy, I'm always so happy when you stop by...
A whole booth of your own in the Antique Mall...That is exciting!!
It sounds like the Ohio Valley Ant. Mall here in town. They've asked if I'd like to do a little space, but it's expensive and I get the what if's..it is only month by month tho. I'd love to work it tho. I know what you mean about the Esty site...I too get hits ,but no buyers (sigh)
Sounds like we've been havin the same weather..last night it was orange outside with those ugly greenish black clouds. Just a heavy downpour. Night before last a tree limb fell..a huge one...Jim and Dad cut it up last night between rains.
Give your DIL a Birthday hug from me. She is gonna love her Cookbook. I love using my Lodge Dutch Oven for Bean and Potatoes and Beef Stew. My Grandma tried for years to get me to use Cast Iron for cookin, but I was always leary cause of clean up...well now I use it almost everyday for cookin....and clean up is easy. Is hers cast iron or fancy porcelain covered?
You are not the only one talkin about the medecines and Ins. Co. Dont' feel singled out and it is not an age thing!! It's happenin to everyone.
Well, I better get to goin. Talk to you later!

So glad you had a wonderful birthday celebration dinner.

Antiques are dead on the east coast & malls closing down right & left. We closed all our shops down at last years end.

Our 'flip me over, I'm done on that side' weather continues in a blisterin 5+ week heat wave.

Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Sweet Shirley:
I don't have your email address, so I'll leave a message here and hope you receive it.

I'm doing a ltd. run of Phase II cards because some of the gals have expressed their regret at not getting one from the first set. They'll be slightly different, but have the same components as the first set.

I have your address information, so no need to email me with it, but if you'd like to give me your direct email some time, I'll add it to my file.

Thanks for wanting a card. I'll be making and sending them out next week.

xoxo, dear friend.
