RELAXING SUNDAY

The sun is trying to shine, but we are in for a stormy day and could be severe or at least that is what the weather man said last night.
We spent yesterday watching the oldest two ride there ponies. I kept track of Matt while mommy and daddy were busy with Jake getting him ready to ride.
Matt's day didn't go well. His pony acted up and he fell off. He got right back up and got right back on. He bumped his head on the bleachers because he was trying to sit in the chair crosswise and it tipped over with him. Other then a bump he didn't break any skin. He was so very tired from being there all day and he didn't want to take a nap. He will probably sleep late today maybe.
Jake looked so sharp in his new shirt, his new hat, and daddy found him a new saddle. One that if the horse is taller then his pony he can actually get on without standing on something.
He told me his shirt was awesome and it was. It was awfully hot for long sleeves, but that is what was required for him to show.
Their dad leaves tomorrow for Oklahoma for a three week school with his job. He will stay down instead of making the seven hour drive home on the weekend. It would not give you time to do anything. If you aren't back on Monday for the next week, there goes the job.
I think mom is going to go down while he is there. There is the cowboy hall of fame museum and other things there for them to see. It will let them see areas that will be new to both.
I don't know what I am going to do for sure. I am making something for one of my friends, who has been very helpful to me. It is just about done and I hope she will like it.
Well dad is up and wanting to have breakfast so I had better close for now. Enjoy your Sunday.

Good Morning Shirley! It sounds like you had a fun day yesterday with the grandkids as they rode their horses. That's too bad about the little accident but he was a trouper and got right back in the saddle. That's the best way to learn. That's too bad that your son or son in law has to be so far from home for an extended period of time but at least he won't be alone for all of it. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday...take care. Maura :)

Hi Shirley & thanks so much for the visit & kind words:) I understand the visiting & not always leaving a comment...I am good at doing that myself too. Don't mean to, and I mean well, but it happens.:)

Hopefully this blog template/background will stay with me for a while since it is one I did. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, and it was a chore to figure it out myself too:) Thinking blogger has issues sometimes because what I did for 1 pg, was an issue to do for another.

Thanks again, and stop by anytime. You take care & Have a Beautiful Sunday!:)

Hi Shirley, it sounds as tho you and the family had a wonderful time together, even tho there was a fall. Glad to see no skin was broken and he got right back up there. What a brave little guy he is. I hope you have a great week and not too much rain. Send some our way, we could use it. Char

Hi Shirley! Sounds like you had a good day. It's warm here, but no humidity...yeaaaa. Jim and I took Ride looking fresh corn, but the couple of places we stopped, this side of Ind., wanted $5.50 a dz...way too high. In NE. Oh we paid $1.50, but they grow for eating and feed. The farm is a large family business. The kids sell corn and extra eggs for their 4-h, Christmas and spending money. They do a good job. Anyway, we drove over into Ind. for a while and then met Mom and Dad to eat.
Sounds Like Matt had a hard day for sure. Bet he didn't sleep late did he? Oklahome? That'll be fun. Are they taking the Boys too?
Well, I better be goin. Got some pics to take of things I got at the Flea Market last weekend. Hope you have a good day at work tomorrow.
