Sunday Afternoon
The afternoon is quiet at the present time, but the weather is just right for the pop up storms. We took a drive earlier today to see some of the countryside and get my hubby out of the house while it was in the 70's which wasn't bad after yesterday.
I took some roads that I didn't have a clue where we would end up. You just hope that sooner or later it will get you back to where you want to be.
I went yesterday and looked at a new antique mall which is in the process of being finished. It is really close to my house. I have been toying with the idea of opening a booth again for quite a while and put my lap quilts in it for one thing. You only have to commit for three months to see how it goes. One of the things that I liked was the idea that it was handicapped accessible. The isles are wide and you would have no problems getting a wheelchair around. You get to decide how to decorate. You could even paint it yourself, but I don't have the time for that. The location is definitely in a good spot. I made the decision to rent a booth, which I have three walls that I can hang my lap quilts on that would really display them. They have been looked at a lot, but I haven't sold any on my etsy shop. I will keep some things in my etsy shop, but I am also going to try the other. I don't want to shut my shop down all of the way because I have 105 who have marked my shop as a favorite. I just wish they would buy.
They will be opening the 1st of August. It is exciting and I have some ideas of what I want to do.
I talked to my son, who is in Oklahoma City for school with his job. It has been just as hot there as it has been here. They went to the Cowboy Hall of Fame yesterday and spent three hours. They had taken the trolley and then the bus. The last bus was at 5:00, and if you missed it you were going to have problems getting back. They had barbecue for supper and he said it was really good. They closed it down at 7 P.M. in the evening so you ate early in the day. He said they got there at 4:30. The price was right for the amount of food that you got. He had a pound of meat and two sides. Their instructor had just a pound of baby back ribs and they were so good. The location wasn't the best area especially after dark, but the barbecue was great. I don't know if any of you watch the show Diners, Dives, and Drives on the Food Channel, but I saw this place on there. I enjoy watching it especially if he is doing the show from where you are going.
The weather channel shows more storms popping up, if they hold together. We had some this morning early. Have a wonderful day.
