TGIF

The heat the last couple of days has really been hard on me with going in and out of air-conditioning at work. Yesterday the heat index was 110 degrees. We had a storm come through after midnight that cooled it down a little, but not a lot. I slept through the storm that included wind, thunder, lightening and the rain.
I saw some tree limbs down as I was going to work this morning. I know you drink more water because it is hot and then you have to make the trip to the bathroom. I am being good like my family told me that I had to drink more. I have a habit of not drinking that much at times.
I am wanting a quiet weekend of taking it easy because it is suppose to be hot again. The only thing I know that I really have to do is go and pick up my new blood pressure medicine. My insurance company won't pay for the medication I was taking. It is something else when you get told what You have to take instead of what is prescribed for you. I am afraid that it is only going to get worse.
My grandsons are so looking forward to this weekend. The youngest is going to the zoo in Omaha with his mommy and daddy. The older two are going to Union Station in Kansas City to see the dinosaur display with their mommy and some friends. My middle one, Matt, can pronounce all of the names and corrects me when I try to say them. You never know what they are going to like, but they have been so fortunate to be expose to a lot of things today that we never had the opportunity to do.
Well it is getting late so I need to close for now. Have a great day.

Dearest Shirley:
Can't even imagine having to tolerate that heat. I'm an air conditioning wimp! When we had hot days in Wisconsin, we lived on a hill where I could most often just open windows for blissful cross-breezes. It was unusual to have more than 5 days of air conditioning a year. Of course, we had 9 months of furnace heat to pay for instead! Here, when it gets down into the 40s over the winter, we former Wisconsinites simply open the doors and windows and put on a sweater. ;-) It's the five months or so of air conditioning we traded for now. Have a fun weekend.

Shirely, you sure do have a lot of hot weather this year....I feel for you!
I wished I had some air conditioning when it's hot and sticky. Nice to hear that you are having fun with your grandsons, so nice to have a quiet weekend too!
I take lots of medicines too....unbelievable how much they cost, isn't it! I always wonder why are they so expensive?
Have a nice and relaxing weekend my Missouri friend!!!
Hugs,

Hi Shirley!!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit! I loved your sweet comments!

Hasn't this weather been terrible? We have been in the 90's for over a week here in Chicago. I have been staying in as much as possible. And I have been drinking lots of water and making a lot of trips to the bathroom at night, but I figure I'm better off doing this! ;-D

It sounds like your grandkids have a fun weekend coming up! I hope you stay cool and comfortable!

xoxo

Hi Sweets.
I would just fall out if I didn't have A/C here. The humidity is awful and it feels like I'm just melting in the ground. It's crazy that I can sweat walking down the driveway to the mailbox.
Hope all works out well with your new medicine. Insurance companies make me want to scream.
Hugs to you girlfriend.

Oh honey I am so sorry you have had such a rough week. The temps are horrible and that is the only reason I have not gone nuts in this house because I could be like you out there suffering.
As much as I freeze in this ole house in the winter it might be a nice change...no I should not of said that. lol
Hope you get to prop your feet up and rest all weekend.
Love
Maggie

Hi Shirley, thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. I love reading your sweet comments! I can't hardly take this heat either, I just try to stay indoors as much as possible. It is a shame about your medicine, you should be able to take what you where precribed to take, insurace's can be a pain sometimes! I do belive your right it's probaly only going to get worse! Try and stay cool... Blessings~~~ Daphne
