Another Rainy Day

We were lucky and didn't get the really bad wind that some areas got. My heart and prayers goes out to those of you that could possible be in the way of Hurricane Earl. My niece and her husband were going to be in DC on vacation. I am hoping that they cut their vacation short and head bad toward home. I have been watching it on the news.
Today we spent the day in the city with doctor appointment and the service engine soon light came on my car so I went by the dealership where I bought my car before I came home. It was some type of a sensor which was covered by warranty for which I am thankful.
The doctor didn't change any medicine. We will just keep plugging away as I like to call it. It can be stressful at times with things not going right. We will go back down this next month and see our primary care doctor to see what suggestions he has to offer.
I will work tomorrow then have a three day weekend. I am ready to do a little sleeping late hopefully. I don't know about you but I still wake up at the same time the alarm goes off even though I don't set it. My youngest grandson was excited because he was going to go to meet his pre-school teacher and see his room. His mommy starts her teaching at the college tomorrow. She is lucky that her job allows her to teach the labs for some engineering classes. It also helps their company to find interns for the summer that just might turn into full time employees later. She teaches them on the job training rather then out of the book. They will take field trips, try their hand at physically doing the test that they are talking about.
One of her instructors that helped her find her job, got her to teach his labs for him, and it has continued.
It is going to get down in the 50's tonight. We had rain while we were in the city, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. We only got to 74 today which wasn't really bad for a change. I rather enjoyed it.
You all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. If you travel, have a safe journey. Take care

Hi Shirley:
Glad your doctor's appointment went well. Funny...when it gets in the 70s here, we grab our sweaters! It's all acclimation, I guess. Have a restful and happy holiday weekend.

Hi Shirley,
So glad your appt went well. I hope when you go back to your primary doctor that he helps you with the meds. It really can be a challenge.

I hope your niece and hubby got away from the storms. So glad you will get to enjoy a long weekend, get to sleep in a bit and relax.

Thank you for stopping by. Always great to see you.

Hi, Shirley,
Enjoy your Labor Day weekend. Hopefully, you can have some "me" time and catch up on your rest. I am thankful your car was under warranty. Car repair is so expensive, isn't it? Happy September to you, my friend~love and hugs always~Vicki
