My Friend's 500th blog post

My friend Donna at Brynwood Needleworks is having a wonderful giveaway. She is such a talented lady with her knitting, sewing, quilting, just to mention a few of the many things that she does. She has been an inspiration to me and makes me want to do things better.
You can ask questions and she is more then happy to help you if she can. Her friendship has meant a great deal to me and I enjoy reading her blog. Drop over to see her, she loves visitors as we all do.
To change the subject a little, one more day and then it is the weekend. I look forward to a couple of days off to have a little "me" time which is hard to do. I want to check out a quilt shop that I have heard about and they are only open on Saturday. I tried to go on Sunday to find out they are closed. I want to see what their shop is like and what kind of things that they carry.
We are in the 60's this evening with a fine mist at the present. We will have to wait and see what tomorrow will bring. Have a wonderful weekend.

Dear Shirley:
What a sweet post about my giveaway! Thank you, always, for your kind comments and your friendship. I'm so glad we met through our blogs! I hope it's cooler when we get to Williamsburg. I'm so tired of the hot weather! (I know you are, too!) Perhaps by the time we get back it will be cooler here, too. The 60s are wonderful, but I'd be thrilled with 70s for a change! lol
Have a great weekend, girlfriend.
TTYS,
xoxo
Donna

Hello Shirley!
I'm sorry I haven't been by for quite a while...this summer was a busy one for us plus we were on vacation for a couple of weeks. I will have to check out your friends blog...sounds like a very talented lady. Our weather cooled off just for a day or so but tomorrow is back up to 90. The weekend looks a bit cooler though so that's good. I hope you have a good day tomorrow and enjoy your weekend and your time off. Take care. Maura :)

I hope you get to go to that shop. And have fun! Nothing happening here. I'm working on some orders. It's very hot and humid here. All that rain we had is now steaming back up! I hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks for coming over to my blog, I love reading those sweet comments.

Hugs,
Caroline

Hi Shirley! Sorry I haven't been by lately. It's been hectic around here. My knees have been really bad for the past 2 weeks. They are throwing out my hips and back.....my allergies are taking off again.....it's a pain is what it is. I have too much too do. It's finally raining here a little. We're 5" below where we shud be, soooo it is dry as a bone here. We've had the air off for 2 days..yipee...but today it got more humid, so we closed up the windows again. :(
How is everyone? How's the booth going? Are your allergies doing better....you shud ask about Lodrane 12 or 24. Its an old allergy med, but it seems to work on me better than zyrtek with no side effects. And, Patenase is working for my throat and nose. Best of all they both go with my BP med.
How is school goin since they're all in for full time now? How is your son doing..the one at home and the one that was out of state?
How'd your DIL like her first day classes?
Tryin to post has been hear this week and I've been tryin to get ready for craft show season. The first one is the last week of this month and I have so much I want to complete. It's at The Heritage Village in the park during their Fall Harvest Festival. I hope its nice weather for that weekend seeing as how it's a 2 day show. Cross your fingers for me I really need to make a big show.
Well, I'd better be going. Mom and Dad went to her School reunion and we're watchin Toby..thier Norwegian Elkhound..and I have to go see what he's up to.
Have a great rest of your weekend.

Hi Shirley, Aren't the friendships made in blogland special? Donna's giveaway sounds great.
Hope you enjoyed some me time over this weekend. And, I hope you are getting cooler temps too. We are still hot and now it has become muggy after all that rain we had last Wednesday.
How was the quilt shop?
Have a great week and thank you for stopping by. Good Luck with my giveaway.
Hugs for my Missouri friend,
Blessings, Celestina Marie
