We made it home before the heaviest rain hit, but the lightening and dark looking clouds were very visible. I told my husband to watch the clouds and I was going to put the petal to the metal. I set my cruise as fast as I thought I could get away with without getting a speeding ticket. I was glad that there wasn't a lot of traffic.
Our boy had just got home from work at the same time we pulled into the driveway. We hurriedly carried things in out of the car without getting really soaked. The thunder and lightening is still carrying on and the Platte River was running bank full as we crossed it. There will be some flooding, just don't know how much.
We are suppose to drop down into the 50's tonight. The weather all over the United States has been so crazy. I just finished a new project and have it ready to take the picture to show you. I will be anxious for your input as to what you think of it.
The month is almost gone and I don't know really where it has gone. The trees are showing a little color nothing like what other areas have.
The street I normally come home on was closed tonight so I followed the vehicle in front of me hoping that they could show me how to go around it. I found streets that I never knew existed, but I made it home. Afterwards I thought I was a little dumb, but there were other cars behind me so we were all going to be in trouble if the one in front wasn't going where we wanted to go.
I was a little sick after I went to see my booth Saturday. I had an antique car whiskey decanter for sale. I thought at first I had sold it, but unfortunately somehow it got broke. Whoever did it hit it on the bottom shelf where it wouldn't be seen unless you were really looking for it. I thought at first maybe we could fix it, but there are pieces missing. It was my first experience of putting breakables in my booth and I don't think that I will do it again. Well enough rambling for one evening. I want to read a few blogs and then I will need to get to bed. Have a great day.

Hi Shirley:
I'm so glad you got home safely. I read somewhere that you should never set your cruise control when driving in the rain because your car could start to hydroplane and you'd be helpless to stop it before you could turn off the cruise. You might want to look online to see whether or not it's true. Safety first, my friend. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you.
I hope you get some wonderful fall colors in Missouri. We don't get that at all here. Leaves most of the time...no leaves for about 2 months when they just drop off the oaks and magnolias...then, leaves again! Now, that's weird for a WI girl!
Hugs from Florida,

You're getting a lot of storms. And 50 is too cold! Please don't send the 50s to Texas!! I'm sorry someone broke your decanter. Guess you'll have to embroider a "you break it, you bought it" sign! LOL!

Hi Shirley
I thank you for stopping in at my blog. I am such a blog slacker. lol I have been so busy with getting my plant nursery going that i just have not had much time over the summer to blog. NOw that the season is slowing down and will be ending soon, i have a little more time for other things. Such as getting back to my Radio program .. I really wish people would have the respect for others property, and when they damage it, go ahead and pay for it, or at least let you , or the mall owner that rent you rent from, know what happened. Have a great time this fall and enjoy all the fall festivals and things before winter sets in.. Sheila
Hi Shirley! Just wanted to pop by and say hello ;) I just got a sec I'm gettin ready for the Craft Show this weekend..plus finish up flower arrangements for tomorrow to go out. Wish I did more shows, but boy it does get hectic 2 jobs at once. It's supposed to rain tonight...goody just when we're loading probably.....and be nice tomorrow in the low 70's and sunny. Sunday same temps, but hit or miss showers...know we need the rain, but I sure hope it misses til after 9p...
Sorry to hear about the dope. I can't stand those who don't want to take resposibility. The other day we were at the ant. mall and Mom wanted to see something in a booth. I had been pushiong her in the wheelchair for a while and my hands were tingly...you know how it is...anyway..you guessed it I dropped it. It was a Holly Hobby 70's plate...sigh...A sales associate saw me and I asked him to take it up front with my other stuff. I could glue it back together and add some flowers...never see it. When I got up to the front to pay, they said they called the vendor and she said not to worry about it. I said it wasn't fair that they shouldn't've done that, but they said she also does mosaic designs..she could still use it. I thought that was so nice of her. But, really dopey of me.
Maybe you could reuse it for something else?
Well, I gotta be goin and get things packed up. I'll type ya later :)
