4th of July Over, but still fireworks

The 4th of July is officially over, but someone still has fireworks. They think they can shoot them longer, but it infers with sleep. I would like to know who shot them in my back acre and left the mess for us to pickup.
This week has absolutely flown, but I am ready for it to come to an end. It rained quite a while today which we really didn't need with the river running so high. You have so many rumors flying that you really don't know who to believe anymore. I think they really play on people's fears. Insurance companies are going to try to get out of paying because they say it is not an act of god.
We went on Saturday to the last t-ball game. It was a little warm, but there was a nice breeze and we had a shade tree we could sit under to watch the game. I still laugh at the little one playing in the dirt. You thought that he wasn't playing attention, but he sticks out his glove and stops the ball. It was funny.
We had a good weekend with being with all of our family on the 4th of July. My daughter, also, includes her husband's family. So we get to visit with them, also.  If you went away hungry, it was no body's fault, but  your own. My oldest grandson made mini cheese cakes . He was so proud of himself. We had strawberries dipped in white almond bark with edible blue glitter on the tip. You name it, we had it. My contribution was the veggie tray.
The boys had so much fun shooting fireworks with their Uncle John. Of course, he doesn't spoil them much since he is back home and gets to see them more often. Ethan fell asleep in his chair. He was going to watch the fireworks. I knew he would and Matt fell asleep before they were three blocks away from Angie's.
This weekend is the horse show on both Saturday and Sunday. Matt is going to do peewee barrels. My oldest grandson showed grandma how to take a video on my camera so that will be an experiment. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, Take care.

Hi Shirley, thanks for the sweet comments you left on my blog. I am feeling better now, thanks.

We could use a little of your rain. This past Winter, it did nothing but snow. Then is rained all Spring. Now, nothing!

I agree with you on the fireworks. I'm really tired of listening to the noise!

Hugs, Pam

Hi Sweet Shirley....
I know just what you mean about the fireworks....the neighbors, here, must have spend hundreds of dollars as two had displays that went on continually for three hours!!!!! Talk about your money going up in smoke! lol! The kids loved them and actually, we did, too! But....having one huge and loud bomb exploded at 2am is not fun and that is what is going on here, but we can't figure out who is doing it. I know they are having fun, but sometimes it takes me forever to get back to sleep!
I am sorry some very rude people left a mess for you to clean up!

I do not see anything much in the news about the floods, but we all know they did not just go away! We know of the suffering and all those that lost everything they had. It goes beyond sad. I keep them in my prayers, but where are all the wonderful movie stars and the president and the reminders to contribute to help all the victims of this years weather...And, to think those insurance companies that take such big payments from us would even dare to find an excuse! I would like to wring their greedy necks! All or this and I mean all of it was an act of nature....the blowing of a dyke would not have been necessary if it were not. I hope the courts rule against them, but I know how slowly and sometimes never, these companies have paid for the fire victims out West.
Well, enough on my soap box! hehehe! I just get so mad at what is going on in our country...not sure it is really ours any longer!
Luv n hugs,
Jil

Oh dear Shirley - I am so sorry for all the flooding in your area. I cannot imagine it. I wonder where the government and Fima is when you need them. No more everyone helping the flooded areas all over like they helped New Orleans......Of course you live in an area where people still try so hard to help themselves and their neighbors. You are not waiting to be taken care - you start by reaching out to others. May God richly bless you now and always.

Hugs and Prayers to you, Pauline

Hi Shirley,
Yes, the fireworks are so annouying when they go on and on.
My Miss Beazy does not like it either as she thinks it is thunder and hides under the bed.

We could use some of your rain here. We have over 100 degrees everyday and more on the way next week. Sounds like you had a great 4th of July with wonderful summer foods to enjoy. We did too and of course it was 100 plus that day too.
So sorry about the floods your way. Have fun with the grands at the horse show. Sounds like it will be fun.

Have a great week ahead.
Hugs from Texas, Celestina Marie

I love fireworks, but it takes responsible people to have fun and do the right thing.
Yes, we were right in the middle of the Haboob. It was the largest in AZ history and lasted what felt like forever. We experienced our first Haboob about 8 years ago, just after we moved here. It only lasted less then 5 minutes and there are a sight to see. A wonder of nature for sure. If you google Haboob, you can see one for yourself.
I am sorry you had to close down your shop. I don't know why owners think it's alright to apply fees and higher rents when the economy is doing so bad. We have a frame shop owner that has been in business for 34 years just close his shop because his lease was up and they wanted to raise his rent. Are you kidding me! Now they have no one in the space. Too bad for the greedy people. I hope we come out of all of this nonsense soon.
Have a great week Shirley and have fun with the little ones. They are a joy, Char
