Hot Hot and Stormy

I am ready for the cold weather instead of this heat that we are having now. We hit 99 with triple digit heat index. When the cold front came through, it dropped 30 degrees and rained so hard you could not see the highway. The wind was really strong, but after it was over, you got to see a beautiful rainbow.
Matt has been riding Cleo all by his self and he thinks he is really a big king pin. He looks small on her that is for sure. He competed in the lead in class. He actually was controlling her, but dad's or mom's walks along side with a lead in rope for safety precautions.
They got third and he was so proud. He says he is collecting ribbons.
Brother placed in the halter class with her, but it wasn't to be had in the other classes. He got judge down because the judge didn't like how he held his reins. Oh well, it is a learning experience and close to home. It is within a mile of the house. We have another show this weekend on Sunday. I think that is the last one until September.
They are going on a short vacation and then it is a break for everyone. They have been running with soccer, t-ball and now the horses. He doesn't want to play football which I am just as glad.
I have been working on wedding presents. I have one done and another one half done with one more to go.
I am going to try to catch up on my blog reading tonight. I have been doing some, but not where I could leave you all a comment. I hope everyone is having a good week and trying to stay cool from the heat.
Take care.

Hi my sweet Mo friend. I too am behind with blogging both reading and posting.
Where do the days go now that I am back at work part time they fly by.
Congrats on winning his ribbon. What a healthy great sport for your grandchildren to enjoy. Wish my grandson would do something like this instead of wanting to play football. He is still too young but it is already in his head. lol
Sorry the heat is getting to you too. I too kind of secretly made a wish for fall but not winter yet. lol
Love ya
Maggie

Congratulations to Matt for his ribbon. He looks mighty cute sitting atop that horse.

It has been 108 here for a few days and I am so ready for cooler weather. Wish we could see some rain. I hope we all who are having such hot weather will get a break soon.

Stay cool as you can and take good care in the heat. Hugs

How wonderful for your grandson to have done so well! I also like what he said about collecting ribbons - very cute.
We are definitely back to cooler weather here - it seems it's either blistering hot or cold and stormy - no in-between this year. It certainly isn't the kind of summer we used to have!
