Rain, Beautiful Rain

The clouds were there over the weekend and it was beautiful. In the low 70's, a good day to spend some time outside in the fresh air. So enjoyable. Today the much needed rain came and the temperature has been in the 60's. It is not that bad out, but you will get wet. It hasn't been a down pour, but just an easy rain a little harder at times, but we will take it. We are so dry.

Of course, the wrecks are always there and we have had several of those  the last few days closing down the interstate for a while. I don't know if they aren't paying attention or just following to close. I just know that you never know when you leave the house what the day will bring.

Doesn't my grandson look ornery? I don't know who was picking on him, but he was going to box somebody from looking at the picture. They had a gentleman come to school to teach them self defense this summer. Of course, they all had to try it.

He was visiting his other grandfather yesterday. He decided to walk with us around the parking lot while momma talked to her dad. He asked Hubby how long he had been at the nursing home. We are into the 9th month and still not walking. They took away part of the physical therapy and they are suppose to walk him upstairs. We both know that is not going to happen. I keep praying for a miracle. I just know I can't do what I use to do for him.

I had a peaceful weekend and enjoyed being outside. I slept a little later then usual. School is getting closer to starting. I will be a little lost at first from spending time with my oldest grandson. I have enjoyed  getting to do things that I don't normally do.

I hope you all are having a good week. Take care

My gosh, Shirley. It has been 9 months already? I'm sure it seems like forever to you. I know that you can't take care of him and at least he is in a safe place.

Your grandson is a cutie. I love the rough and tumble of little boys underfoot. I know you will miss him when school starts again.

Blessings to you and I hope you have a good night- xo Diana

It has been a long 9 months for you. I don't know what else you could do. If they don't know what to do where he is staying.
Your grandson is really cute. Just being a boy, I think.
The cooler weather is so nice.
Take care of yourself.

Aren't the rains and cooler temps wonderful?

Your grandson is so cute and looks like he is enjoying his summer. I can't believe that it's almost time for school! Wow, where does the time go?

Take care, Shirley, and have a nice Tuesday!

Hi Shirley, It's so sad about your hubby being away for so long, but if he can no longer walk it would be so terribly hard for you to take care of him. I have a similar situation going on with my mom who suddenly got sick in Dec. She went from living alone in her house to a month stay in the hospital and then she lost her ability to walk. She's in a nursing home now. Thank goodness it's a great place and very close to my house so I can visit every day, but still, the whole thing is just so sad... Your grandson is adorable! You are such a great grandmother...those kids must love you to bits! xo

Someone said to me once, "All we can do is all we can do." I have to remind myself of that quite often.
Remember to take care of your self, too - no one else can really do that, either!
Keeping you in my thoughts :)

This is my first visit here and when I read that you attend horse shows I read quite a few posts; I do love horses and how fun it is a family event for you and your grandsons.
