9 out of 10

We had so much fun today at my family reunion. 9 out of 10 wasn't bad for brothers and sisters. We were missing one sister, but I never laughed so much when we were taking pictures. Finding a good one out of all of them that were taken was a challenge because of the rabbit ears behind somebodies head or a hand on top of somebodies head. A lot of visiting, picture taking, and food to try. Ages went from in the 80's down to 8 months. We had a nice group of the younger generation. My oldest brother's wife had been home a week from having three stints put in her heart, but it didn't solve the problem. My brother in the red shirt goes for test the 23rd because they found a mass in his stomach. He had to much infection to run them sooner. I was glad we were together.
My grandson showed his little pony and got 4th in the halter class. He was having fun with her and they look so cute together. Big brother showed Fergie in halter and then in walk, trot class. The judge told him that his horse was lame and he was not to bring her back in the arena that afternoon. She gave him last place for it. I don't know if she thought he wouldn't have a horse to ride. If that was the case, it didn't work because they both showed Cleo. She  gave my oldest grandson 5th on her, but I don't think she really wanted to do it. Little brother got 4th when he showed her. I didn't like the judge. I really think she has a thing against boys.
While waiting for your next event, you get permission to play games on one of the other mom's cell phone. He is so spoilt by everybody. I am taking him tomorrow to his art camp at the college. That should be interesting.

We was teasing brother about wearing his friend's hat with pink trim. He didn't think we would get a picture, but I did. You have to be ready at a moments notice. He moved to quick in the picture before so I didn't get it.
My last picture is of him riding Cleo. She is such a good horse and knows which one she has on her back.
We didn't stay for games because it would make it to late to get home. I understand that they didn't start until 7:30. Hard telling when they would get over. Also, in the first event one of the horses rared, the rider went off and the horse fell on him. Had to have the ambulance, he broke his hip.
I am glad I didn't see it and it wasn't anybody that we knew.
We had rain this afternoon as I was coming home. I went by the nursing home to see hubby. They told me they would help put him in the car so I could have taken him, but as I told them that wasn't the problem. How was I to get him in and out of the car and take him to the bathroom while we were there. They have two people and they expected me to do it by myself plus they used a lift to transfer him from his recliner to his wheelchair so he could go to supper. I am sorry it is a long post.
Hope you all have a great week, I am babysitting for the week. Take care

Oh Shirley what an interesting post this was. Enjoyed reading all about your family and grandson's. It's so wonderful when we are able to have these family reunions. You tell me your dear husband isn't walking yet, mine only takes a couple of steps and he's tired and has to sit down, of course with me holding him with a hospital belt, well he sits all the time either on his wheel chair or at his computer chair. Took him to the doc. and he wants me to take him for new glasses, that will be a big problem, how can he get up on that chair to have his eyes checked, I don't know. You and your hubby are in my prayers daily. Many blessings...Lu

Shirley you needed that reunion and so glad you had a awesome time. Love your pic and yes I can relate to trying to get a good shot of siblings. Mine do the same thing.
Sorry to hear about your brother I hope everything works out with his stomach.
I don't understand the judge over your grand sons. What is her problem?
Sounded like she was having a bad day and taking it out on some of the competitors especially your grandson.
I can understand you not being able to take your hubby. There is no way you could manage without help.
Thanks honey for your get well wishes for my son. He sure banged himself up good. I can't imagine how sore he has to be.
Have a good week.
Love
Maggie

Such a great family reunion. Kids and horses. You fit so much into your days when you could really just sit about. What a good example to the grandsons.

Shirley- what a wonderful family reunion you have had. That is the most wonderful photo of your family. I hope your brother does well with his tests-- I'm sure you are worried. We will all say some prayers.

Your little grandsons are just precious in their cowboy hats-- I love the picture of one riding Cleo. (I don't think I like that judge either :(

Take care of yourself--- you are a busy little lady.
