HOT SUNDAY AFTERNOON

W hen it is hot, you try to find a shade tree to cool off under. When the humidity is high, sometimes that doesn't even help. He climbs all over his horse and she is usually very calm, but as we all know sometimes she is not. School has been in session for a week and so far so good. Everybody likes their teachers even my grandson who started high school this year. I just don't want to grow older, but having a 2nd, 3rd, and a freshman in high school they do make you age. We are in the 90's.

When it is hot, you can use these coolant towels that you dip in water and they really do work. I didn't catch it in time, but he was wearing this under his hat. He would have been in trouble for that one. We were under tents that day which really came in handy.

This afternoon I am off to a baby shower here in a little bit. It was fun shopping and hard to make up my mind what to get her. I made her a burp cloth using a diaper and embroidering a monkey on it with a cute little saying. I am going to be adding them to my etsy shop, but first I have a custom order that I have to complete.

My eye surgery is scheduled for the 9th of September. My daughter is going to be there the day of surgery and I think my son will take me the following day as he has some vacation time that he needs to take. I  just know I will be glad when it is over. My other eye will be done about a month later or at least that is the plan now.

The medication that they put hubby on hasn't done any good. It was suppose to help his legs heal, but they don't look any different then before they started it. It just caused more problems when he tries to do things. It makes his hands shake more. I want it stopped. I will succeed, but it may take me a day or two. I get tired of fighting to accomplish what is best for him.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. Prayers are going out for those in need. I am trying to make my way around to visit. I do read, but don't always get to leave a comment. Some of the new gadgets aren't for me. Take care.

Dearest Shirley- your plate seems so very full right now. Your husband is so lucky to have you as his advocate. I would imagine that when you talk-- they listen !!

I wish you well on your surgery- I know you will be relieved to have it behind you--

Love
Vicki

Shirley- It is unbelievable how hot and humid it has been this summer-all over. We are in the mid 90s today. We are usually in the low 70s this time of year. It must be really hot for those kids with the horses.

I am so sorry that the meds are not helping your hubby. I feel bad for him-he must feel that he has lost control of so much of his life. Poor man.

Praying for your upcoming surgery-and I hope you had fun at the shower xo Diana

It can be so frustrating dealing with the medical community sometimes. You deserve a medal for hanging in there and fighting for what you believe is best. Good luck with the meds.

Shirley, you're so generous about praying for others when you have so much going on, too. I'm sending some prayers your way that your surgery goes wonderfully and that your husband sees some improvement soon as well!
