Got A Date

Hooray!Hooray! My right eye surgery is scheduled for the 14th of this month. I could have had it a little sooner, but needed to work around my daughters work schedule. I am hoping it does as well as my left which I have 20/30 vision. After I get this done, I will have to take a new drivers test to get the restriction off my license. I just have to do the vision part.

Tonight was my youngest grandson's music concert at the mall. It was compose of the 2nd and 3rd graders with some of the third graders having a speaking part and they did really well. It was a Dr. Seuss theme and you could tell which they like the best plus the type of music.
I did not take my fall picture. It caught my eye with the sun setting.

Meet my niece's baby that came early. He is growing and mommy's blood pressure came down to where she got to go back to work. He is such a cutey and is growing. If she had gone full term, he would have been a big baby. I am hoping the blood pressure stays under control.

This month has very special meaning for us besides my eye surgery. The biggest thing will be our 50th wedding anniversary. More about that when the time gets closer. We have birthday's, our daughter's wedding anniversary, and getting everything in order for winter.

I pray for the families being affected by the mess in the Washington. There is already an effect being felt for the new Obama Care. My hubby's roommate fell and broke his hip. He has been waiting for two weeks to be taken to the hospital. The excuse today was the ambulance got lost. Have you ever heard of anything so crazy? Because of the type of insurance he has they have to use a certain transportation company.

Besides riding his horse, they took his picture. I really liked it, but then I am partial.

I have been lucky to win two drawings. I will be posting pictures of those later.

We had rain today and then it got in the 80's. How much rain depended on where you were located. I just didn't really care about the thunder and lightening especially when it sounded close to the house.  I am not ready for the 30's and 40's that we are suppose to get down to this weekend. I just don't want to see snow yet, but I have seen it this early in the year.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend

So glad all went well with your first eye surgery. Praying all goes the same for the second. Ambulance got lost..give me a break! That poor man.
Has this world ever been so screwed up before?! Now woth the government shutdown I don't know how long it will be before they will start sending me my half of his income. The military isn't known for it's fast paperwork and now with them shut down...all I can picture is mine getting lost in the piles. But yes I am glad it's mostly over. "He" is to pick up his things this weekend. I will have Law Enforcement here also. The Coast Guard Station couldn't fit me in until the 16th for me to get my new ID which I need to get my medical back up. So I guess I have no medical until then. All the soldiers from Budapest will be here next week getting their IDs, so no room for me.
Think of you often, seems there are not enough hours in the day to do what I want.

Oh, Oh. How can it be right for that poor man to have to wait to be taken to the hospital for surgery. Something is seriously wrong there. He should have had the surgery as soon as possible to fix that hip. I simply do not believe the story the nursing home is telling. I think you should phone the local newspaper, the television station, Oprah, Dr Phil, or even the lot of them. This is elder abuse.

Dear Friend Shirley,
Good wishes go your way for the eye surgery. How is hubby doing? Handsome grandson you have, wow. Baby is so cute and adorable. Thanks for the invite to Linkedin, I use to be in it but left, no time. If we only didn't have to sleep we would have lots more time. Hugs...Lu
