My oldest grandson got to be the Pony Express rider for the Pony Express 5K-10K Run that was held last Saturday. He got to start the race which I was so proud of him. Fergie, his horse behaved really well considering all of the runners that they had. He borrowed some things so that he would look like the right era.
My craft show went really well. It was rainy and cool, but I had a good day. I sold some, got a custom order, and the possibility of another show in an area that I haven't gone before. I might like it because it is on a week day instead of on the weekends. My custom order is done that I talked about previously on their way to a new home. I am trying to stay busy. I am still waiting on my second eye surgery. It is suppose to be soon.
I have been doing some reading, just not to good at leaving comments at the present with the two eyes not working together. I noticed it the most when I try to read.
You all have a wonderful rest of the week. Take care

I hope that your next eye surgery goes well.
Shirley- I am so sorry that your hubby is continuing to have problems and that the place doesn't seem to give you many good answers.
Your grandson is a special kid if they chose him to lead that race. I bet you were proud as punch watching him.
I am glad that our craft sale went well. I hope the next one does well for you, too. I am surprised that the needlework doesn't bother your eyes. I know you will be glad to have the surgery over with.
I wish I lived closer, Shirley. I would pick you up and we would take a nice drive to nowhere-just to see the colors and scents of Fall. xo Diana
Thinking of you.....
Hi Shirley! I have been thinking of you and praying for you two. We were married in the fall also. We will be married 21yrs tomorrow.
I'm glad he was feeling up to sitting outside with you for a while. The fresh air would be good for him to help get rid of whatever bug got him.
Hi Shirley,
Sorry to hear that hubby is not doing as well as you would like, this must be very hard for you...
The fall photo is fantastic and hope you find some joy in looking at such photos as that even though you can't go far.
I am happy to see that you have stopped by and left me a message on my blog, it is always good to see you.
Yes, our Lil O is growing like a weed, precious every single moment she is....
Have a good rest of the week.
Hugs for you
Michele
Bless your heart Shirley for the special times you share with your husband at the nursing home. I so wish you could take that drive as you once did --
I hope you will be having surgery on your other eye soon-- I know that will be a relief for you.
Sending you love-
Vicki

Hi, Shirley! That fall pic reminds me of a drive where my son lived in Michigan. Michigan has the best colors! ♥
This morning I have been reading lots and lots of your posts. That nursing home is not the best, but my mother was in a worse one. Keep pushing and nagging. is there any possibility of getting your husband into a different place? Would he be better off at home with you but getting community nursing support? It is hard for you but it must be much worse for your husband.
Shirley, I am sending a big hug for you and your husband....just thinking of you trying to have a private remembrance of your wedding. You are a wonderful person Shirley. It's sad that the home's staff won't fill you in on your husband's medical situations...you have the right to know. You may have to put your foot down.
Your grandsons are good with the horses. I bet it's exciting to watch. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
