DID YOU EAT TO MUCH

I would much sooner had this instead of the freezing rain, but for Thanksgiving all we had was rain during the daytime and then it changed to freezing rain. My care package was sent home for me for the next few days as I don't have a car at the moment. The day before Thanksgiving wasn't a good day. I was in an accident. My car is a mess, but at least I have no broken bones, just badly bruised  body. My two oldest grandsons and their mom came to my rescue. I didn't get an option, they just took me to the hospital to be checked out. I spent that night with my daughter and her family. My youngest grandson took very good care of me. They said we can replace the car, but they can't replace me. I spent the day with family and have done quite a bit of sleeping. That is what pain medication does for me. My grandson took pictures of my car and the other vehicle.
The two oldest and their mom went to the nursing home and told hubby and showed him pictures of my car. He took it better then I thought and said the same as the boys.
I am glad that all of my craft shows were over. I had toyed with the idea to do one this weekend, but that wouldn't have been possible because I don't travel on ice.
I know that I ate too much, the girls plan the menu and I basically just get to go. I know that when I laugh or cough my rib cage hurts. They are badly bruised.
The boys had planned on playing outside, but that didn't happen. I lost my electricity last night. I didn't even know it until I looked at the clock this morning and it was blinking at me.
My daughter in law made sweet potato rolls that are yummy. They don't really have that sweet potato taste. We had turkey and ham, potato casserole, green beans, corn, relishes, apple, pumpkin, and chocolate pie, combination salad, jello salads. If anyone went away hungry it was their own fault. I just thought I would check in with you all. Take care. Be careful on the roads.

Oh, goodness...I know the accident was no picnic for you but I'm relieved it wasn't worse and your weren't hurt worse. Still, take it easy and rest. Your family is so loving---they came to your rescue and your sweet grandsons always take care of you! Your Thanksgiving meal sounds like it was wonderful. So happy it was family time after what you have been through. Are you at home now?

Sending love. I know the weather in your area has been terrible. Stay close to home.
Love yo you, dear friend,

Oh gosh, I'm glad you are ok. It always hurts worse a few days later so glad you got meds. We had rain, but thankfully it wasn't freezing. Your kids are great and I love it that they take such good care of you. Shirley, I hope all goes well for you. You are such a nice person.
xx, Carol

The accident was horrible but it was just an accident. A blip on the horizon, not a life changer. You have a very loving family and many friends who read your blog. Take it easy. Rest and more rest. When the chips were down for me your kind words were most welcome. I wish you a good recovery both emotionally and physically. As we age some of these things take a bit longer than we anticipate though.

Oh Shirley, I am so glad you are okay. Sounds like you took a hit.
I haven't been around for awhile. I hope to get back here soon.
We moved about 10 days ago. Still can't believe we sold our house and have this beautiful smaller home. There still are boxes but that's okay
Feel better. Hugs

Sorry to hear about your accident but glad you're ok. The weather has been unseasonably warm here in SC. It's making my husband ill, cause it messes up his deer hunting.

Shirley- I am just catching up here. OMGOSH! I can't believe you were in an accident. I am sorry about your car but so very happy that you weren't hurt! Your kids are right-cars can be replaced but you can't. Take good care of yourself and don't do anything you don't absolutely HAVE to do- except heal. Love to you- xo Diana
