This and That

It has been busy with doctor appointments with  my hubby. He still has  more to go. He has been sick with this horrible cough and what they put him on is causing more problems.  It makes you really wonder about who is taking care of them. I get so frustrated and feel like it is just lip service.
Today all he wanted to do was sleep and his answers were not making sense. The nurse put a hold on the medication they put him on and some of his new problems may be linked to that medication.
Today my oldest grandson got to be Johnny Frye and lead off the Pony Express 5K run. He had a police motorcycle escort in front of him so they didn't have to worry about vehicles coming through while this was taking place.  The picture of the arena is of our horse club's arena at sunset.
The last event I think this year will be a fun show strictly games. Some I am curious to see such as the catalog race. I have never seen that before.
We have had rain this evening and are suppose to have storms going into tomorrow.
I sometimes wonder just what our world is coming to with all that is going on. I don't know about you all, but I will be so glad when the election is over with. It is though they think we aren't smart enough to make up our own minds.
The fingers have been busy and have to stay that way. My embroidery, I think at times is the best stress reliever. Even to help lower my blood pressure, but who knows.
Why can't people admit when they make a mistake instead of blaming it on everybody else? I was told if you made a mistake you say that you did. Well, enough of this and that just wanted you to know I am still around just busy. Take care/

Again, so, so sorry about what your sweet husband is gong through. I think I would be at my wits end with dealing with these people. But you are strong and dealing with it like a trooper.

I'm not satisfied at all with this election. What can we do?

I'm a little confused by your last paragraph...I don't think your were talking about the election. Am I wrong?

Love to you, Shirley.

I am praying for your husband Shirley. So stressful for you to have to fight to get this straightened out.
Such nice photographs.
Yes, this election is just terrible.

I hope all gets worked out with your husband Shirley. Your grandsons sound like they are doing well. This election cycle has been so exhausting.
Hugs to you,

Hope everything goes well for your hubby. Congrats to your grandson! They make you proud, don't they? The world is so crazy these days. The riots (not protests) in Charlotte are ridiculous! What are they accomplishing? Nothing! Oops, sorry, I didn't mean to go on a rant on your post. Stay safe and keep embroidering!

Hi Shirley, I'm back from a long blog break. I will keep your hubby, and you, in my prayers. I'll be glad when the election is over, too. I don't listen to the media on TV as they as are so biased. All of my news comes from reading online where I can pick those who I think are fair and balanced. Our country is upside down where everything that was wrong is now right and vice versa. I hope it's not too late to turn things around, we need a strong leader who really loves this country and not the special interest people who will line their pockets. Congratulations to your grandson...nice honor! Take care and Happy Fall to you!

Oh Shirley, it's so good to see you blogging again. But sorry to hear of your struggles. Wonder what the news media will start their nightly news with once the elections are over...ha! I too worry about this country and our world.

Blessings

Hi Shirley
My FIL spent 3 weeks in the hospital before he passed. There was a big difference in the care he got, I thought, to the care I received about 15 years ago when I was there for a week with pneumonia. It was very disturbing to me.

No matter what your political affiliation is during this election. No matter what you think about all the police shootings. No matter what you think about what is going on in other parts of this world, we are living in a tumultuous time. It's alarming to think about and it seems no solution in sight. All you can do is pray.
xx, CArol
