Snow Gone, Rain Came

We got our snow enough for the boys to play outside in it. They tried to build a snowman, but we didn't really get that much. It was pretty much gone the next day. We had a heat wave of 44 degrees. Today has been rainy, foggy off and on all day.
We will be on the road early in the morning and I don't want black ice for tomorrow . We will be in the city for a doctor appointment. I am hoping for a down and back visit, but I never know until we get there and the appointment is over.
He has his good days and his bad days. Today was not the best, when he didn't want to go someplace this evening you know he doesn't feel that good. He has slept the majority of the day. I will just take some embroidery work to do while we wait.
I was very lucky to win Brenda's give away over at Shabby Cats and Roses. I  am using Brenda's pictures. I never like mine I just have a hard time taking them. This is my pretty pink container that will fit nicely on my sewing table to put scissors, rulers, and other goodies in.
Her pretty sachets that smell so good. I haven't decided exactly where I am going to put them. I love the smell. Roses are one of my favorite flowers.
She also had a Valentine box of chocolates in my goodies box. Needless to say they didn't last long.  Pretty card, packet of cinnamon stick tea. I like it well enough that I had to get me some at the store. All of were wrapped in Valentine Paper. Love it. Thank you Brenda. Our Valentine celebration was going out to dinner and taking a ride here in town. I, also, got a box of chocolates from one of my co-workers who has always given me a Valentine since we started working together. He has been there when I have needed help and just listened to me when I needed it. You never have to many people like that in your life.
My grandson with his Valentine box. He wasn't to thrill with having his picture taken as  you can tell by his face. Daddy and him built his box. Daddy made the care and he got to put on the decorations. He already has his next one planned.
My older two spent the snow day at his house and they had a good time.
I hope you all have a wonderful week.

I love the goodies so much...how pretty! Roses are my favorite flower, too.
Your grandson is so cute with his box. I remember making Valentine boxes as a kid and it's a fond memory for me. I always wanted lots of doilies and pink things on my box. Sadly, I don't think I have any photos of my Valentine boxes.
Have a fabulous weekend!
Julie
P.S. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Yes, the farmhouse is a good choice because there will be lots of privacy :)
