Hot Weather is Here

We have been having really hot weather the last few days with the heat index in the triple digits. I am hoping that it will cool down for the three day weekend. I haven't decided what I will be doing for sure, but will spend part of it with family and of course, nursing home visits.

Hubby had an eye doctor appointment yesterday in the city. It was suppose to be a simple eye exam, Right? Well they ended up scanning the eye and lasering it to try to take away the blurring. We will go back this next week and I have already been informed that the nursing home can't take him. Well I gave her a message of two that can. She just has to call and make the arrangements.

Yesterday was something else. Both my hubby and my dil's father had doctor appointments. Would you believe that the paper work got mixed up and when my dil got to her dad's appointment, she had my hubby's paper work. Well, they ended up faxing hers down and mine ended up being remade. It was quite a day in more ways then one.

I thought I would show you some new things going to be listed in my etsy shop. All of the work I show you here on my blog is for sale, if interested, you just need to send me an e-mail. I am working on a custom order that I have taken off the days of the week and added the saying that they wanted.

The next two pictures is a close up of the design on my table topper that I showed you in a previous post. It was fun to make and I love the way that my butterflies turned out. It is called butterflies and orange blossoms. The burp cloth with the little monkey was embroidered for my niece's baby shower. She has been put on bed rest. I just keep praying for her and the baby. We know it is a little boy. I am going to have some burp cloths in my shop before long.

You never know what you are going to see. I have a new red Christmas tea towel, but for some reason I could not get it to load.

The schools here in town let out early because of heat and some have ac. It just does not make sense. My older two grandson's didn't get out early. They have gone to school all day. They have ac. It may only be window units in some rooms, but they are managing.

Miss Lindalee is having a giveaway over at her blog Crossnmystitches. If you click on my sidebar it will take you there. I have admired some of her counted cross stitch. One of these days I will get so that I can do that. I just haven't got up my nerve to try.

I am sorry this post is a little long. I hope everyone is staying cool. Take care.

Shirley- I am so sorry that you had all those problems with your hubby's appointment. What a mess and mix up. I am sure you must feel so frustrated sometimes trying to deal with all that you deal with.

Your stitching is as beautiful as ever. I will be praying for that sweet girl that she can carry her little boy long enough for him to survive and be healthy.

God bless-I am off to bed here soon. We had lots going on with the boys here today- xoDiana

What a mess with the medical paperwork, it all seems to get more complicated with new technology being added all the time. In most places, it really works, others, well, there's the old saying, a computer is only as smart as the human sitting at it. Best wishes for your hubby.

Your needlework is just beautiful, Shirley! It's really nice that you take custom orders. I will have to have my daughter have a look at your shop...she bought a ladder at an antique store and I told her she should hang tea towels on it.

Our temps were high for the past few days and then they dropped to the low 70's this evening strangely. We do need the rain though. Stay cool! :)

XO,
Jane

Such fun stitching you have been up to Shirley. It is always something with the medical care isn't it?!
It has been very hot here too. The two in high school don't have air conditioning. My daughter said the thermostat in her classroom two days ago read 87º!!!!!!!!!

So sorry about the paper work. It has to be overwhelming in the first place, let alone doing it twice.
Love your needlework. That monkey burp cloth is so cute. I hope your neice does well and the baby continues to stay where he is cozy.
You take care of yourself now.

Well you have been busy Shirley. Glad to hear you are doing well. This sure has been a crazy summer. We're just now experiencing such hot weather. But of course, we are well prepared here to deal with it. All the schools have AC. Your stitching is just lovely, by the way. You take care and hope you have a fabulous Labor Day Holiday! Hugs from your friend in SC.

Stay cool, alright - triple digits is awfully hot!
You must be a very patient lady, Shirley, what with them mixing up paperwork, and not wanting to take your husband to his appointments. I hope the laser surgery works and that the blurring goes away - it's awful when you can't see properly!

Shirley- bless your heart. There is no reason for all these issues to be so complicated-- if people would just do their jobs!! I'm so sorry everything is so hard right now- you must be SO frustrated at times like this.

On a brighter note-- your stitches are beautiful-- love them all-- especially the owls:)

Love
