It has been on the chilly and cool side here the last few days. I would much rather have the 70's back. You wonder what the weekend will bring.

I thought I would show you a couple of my new tea towels. It was my first attempt at making a paint horse. I enjoy making them for people .This is suppose to be a palomino, a bay, and a paint. it was ready to be washed and pressed. I am always looking for something different to try. The second one the pattern was traced with my new iron on pens. They worked really well. I was amazed at them because I had never worked with them before.Does anyone have problems getting their pictures to load right?
I have been waiting for a tree trimmer all afternoon to give me a bid on taking some limbs off of a tree that is to close to the roof of the house. They called yesterday and they said they would be here today. Hubby got involved with some other activities that he wouldn't have done if I had been there so that was very good.
I hope everyone is having a good week. The weather has been unpredictable. We have had the storm warnings, but we were missed thank goodness for that. It depended on where you were at here in town with what you got. I will be popping in and out as time permits. Take care

That is a rather scary looking visitor you had.
Rainy and chilly here too and i am ready for the sun again.
I hope your husband is doing well!
Shirley...what is that creature? We have them around here (in the city!!!) and my hubby says they are vultures, not hawks. And yes, they eat dead animals (we had one eating a dead squirrel on our lawn. Very creepy looking).
Yes the temps are weird. I could not sleep Monday night and now we have two quilts.
I hope all is well with you, my Missouri friend! :)
XO,
Jane
Your horse embroidery pieces are wonderful. I can't believe how quickly you get pieces embroidered, Shirley. That is really a lost art today.
Glad your kids are doing so well with their baseball and horse shows. Enjoy the sunshine you do get. We are cold and really wet here yet.
Have a good rest of the week- Hugs and love from me to you- xo Diana
What kind or eagle is that? Gotta love the wildlife. How amazing that the deer come so close too. I bet you feel sorry for those people who never even notice the animals around them.
Nice photo of the kids playing baseball. I wish all the boys and girls were participating in some sort of sport. Not just at school, but in their leisure time as well. You learn much more than the rules of the game when you play sport.
That is an ugly vulture, isn't it?
I hope you have a great day Shirley!
The tea towels are pretty amazing Shirley, your stitching is so perfect.
By the way we get Turkey Vultures all the time, they are pretty amazing the task they have to clean up all the animals that have departed. What would we do without them?
Sending you a big hug,
Meredith
I think the Turkey Vultures are so homely, poor things!
The weather here in MO is just crazy lately. Warm and nice, then storms, now cold nights. I'm sitting here now with a sweatshirt on! I suppose it'll turn off hot and humid one day soon and stay that way.
Your embroidery work is so nice, Shirley! Hope you and your hubby are well. Take care!
I see lots of turkey vultures around here, but I've never had a vulture on my roof! Bet you're right about the squirrel.
Hope you have a lovely weekend :)
Hi Shirley!
Haven't hard from ya in a while, but I haven't been able to comment lately either..ya know my do list. Nothings changes..sigh.
I love the new embroidered horses. That'd make a great quilt top mixed with plaids and vintage cowboy fabrics.
Glad all is well with you. I'm always thinking about ya.
Shirley, I missed this post. I love your sweet needle work. Enjoy watching your boys play ball. I miss seeing some of those little kids game. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Wonderful pictures Shirley the vulture must be looking for something. The tea towels are wonderful.
