Summer isn't here quite yet

It has been so hot and muggy the last couple of days and the air quality has definitely not been good. The heat index was a hundred yesterday before the storms started popping up all over. I know I was out for only about ten minutes last night and when I came in I could feel the water running down my back.
My two young boys came and took care of my yard. They are earning their money to go to basketball and football camps. There is so many more sports camps for kids to go to now days then there were when we grew up.
It is starting to cloud up again and there is a possibility of more storms tonight. I hope they are wrong.
I have been embroidering right now to keep the mind and hands busy so that I don't have to think about other things right now. I haven't got the results of my bone density test yet. I just know that my lower back gives me fits at times.
We made it through the day yesterday with a very short crew. I did close 15 minutes early and postponed one coming to look at some stuff until Monday. I can't understand him and I didn't really want to deal with him. I let the guys do it.
I have two birthday presents bought and one left to go. We have three birthdays and two weddings coming up. It is that time of the year. I still have to get the graduation presents in the mail.
Some of the girls that I graduated with were going to get together for a picnic. It sounded like fun, but I didn't go because of being off with doctor appointments and the test coming up week after next I will be gone again. It isn't a good time for that, but I need to find out what is going on.
Well you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the sun. I would like it cooler, The temperature is 92 degrees as I write this and I don't know about the heat index.

Hi Shirley -
Oh my dear - your bemoaning the heat is so true here also. Seems like we went from spring to killer heat in just a few days! Have to water my flowers twice a day!

Shirley - your grand babies are just precious - in their little graduation caps - in all of the pictures they are adorable. How lucky you are!

So wonderful to hear from you again - thanks for your special sweet comments about our sweet babe~~~

Hi Shirley,
We have the heat and all too. It's supposed to start storming at midnight right thru til mid-morning. I hate storms like that here....it sometimes pops up tornados. The humidity and air has been so oppressive I haven't been able to stay outside breathing long amd the mushrooms finally sprouted out...ugh. Shadow goes out and instead of wanted to track rabbits he's been turning around and heading right back to the door.
And, don't worry you'll be fine. It'll be somethin real simple and they'll take care of it. My knee I fell on last June is finally unswelling....just enough to make it really hurt...yipee...and my good knee muscle has been havin little spasms. Really do not want to go to the Doc. Keep hopin I'll wake up one morn and it'll be better. Well, I'd better get goin I wanna get a shower before it lightenings and do some other things...lol...like get some new batteries in the radio. Have had to use it an awful lot this week.
Take Care, Relax

We have heat too and didn't have AC until a little bit ago. Our Smart Meter from PG&E literally had a melt down. Lost power but thank God no fire. Evidentally the 6 month old meter was installed wrong. Great huh?! Fire Dept. had was here the whole time..just in case.
All is fixed and power is back.
Hope your son feels better.
Take care and wishing you good results from your tests.

Hi Shirley!
Hotter 'n blazes here, too. No motorcycle riding in the leathers when it's this hot. Time to hang out in the studio or in the pool, for sure. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, my friend.

Hi Shirley,
Sounds like you are having the same heat as we are. The AC runs non stop when it hits the 100 degree mark.

Hope your storms are not too bad. I know we will have them soon enough and I hope for a light season.

I wish you good luck on the Bone Density Test. I was diagnosed with Osteoporosis about 8 years ago. You would never know it to look at me and I have never had a minute of pain. Usually there is no pain with it and most do not know they even have it till they break a bone.

Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments.
Have a great rest of the weekend.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

Hi Shirley! It was awful over here this past weekend, but the past few days have been beautiful with no humidity. I'm a fall/winter person so I can't wait for summer to pass! xo Paulette
