Storms

The storms came through early this morning waking me up. I don't like the sound of lightening close to the house. We have had it hit once and that was enough in our 47 years living here.

The temperature has been dropping all day and if the weather man is right my magnolia tree won't look like the picture in the morning. It is so pretty right at the moment. It is something that we planted a long time ago watching it grow. The trees that you see in the background is part of our yard. Most have been raised from baby trees over the years.

I thought I would show you my bunnies. They are on the end of a table runner that I finished. I know they are a little late for Easter this year, but someone may want to purchase them for next year. It has flowers in the middle with bunnies on each end.

It has been an enjoyable time even though it has been storming while my son is home for a visit. Our grandsons have been good about going to school while he is here, but they are having a lot of fun with their uncle. The visits are never long enough, but he seems to know when mom needs to hear his voice. He went and surprised his dad at the nursing home.

I have enjoyed your visits and comments so much. They mean a lot to me with everything going on in my life. I have taken the day to have a little "me" time  with it raining and cold. I like to curl up in my favorite chair with a piece of embroidery in my lap and the tv on for company when we have stormy weather. I can not stand a quiet house.

Has your Spring weather officially arrived in your part of the country or is yours crazy like ours. Hope everybody is having a good day.

We've had rain and cold here for the past few days, Shirley, lots of thunder, too. I hope you don't lose that pretty tree. We desperately need the rain after last summer's drought.

I'm glad your son's visit is making all of you happy! And a little me time is good. I like a little noise, too, I leave the TV on all day even though I'm not watching it!

Love the bunny runner! :)

XO,
Jane

Hi Shirley! I am so glad you really had a little "me" time. We have had awful storms here, too. One started out as a bad thunderstorm last night and it quickly turned to freezing rain and hail..and then we got 3 inches of snow on top of that. UGH. The schools were all closed or late starting this morning. It's hard to believe it is mid April. So much for global warming!

Your bunny piece is so sweet, Shirley. You do beautiful work- xo Diana

Shirley,
I have found that I too turn on the tv for company...how crazy is that. When I used to love the quiet of my house. Your trees are very pretty. I noticed the willow tree here is very green looking. We had storms all night long. I love your needle work. Stay safe. xoxo,Susie

That magnolia looks fantastic.
Our Wet Season was a bit of a failure this time. So now the air is dry and cool weather approaches. Actually the days do not really get any cooler, only the nights.
During the Wet we get lots of lightning strikes due to the mineral content of the ground. I love thunder and lightning at breakfast time. It seems such a luxury.

Shirley-
I think of you often-- always saying prayers for you and your hubby. I'm thankful the storms caused you no damage. We were missed as well.

I hope you are taking this weekend to have some quiet and special time for you. You are always giving and doing for others-- you do need a little break.

I love the sweet bunnies on your needlework-- they will find their way to a loving home I'm sure--

Hugs-
Vicki
