Brr

We don't have this, but we do have the bitter cold with the winds out of the northwest. We have had gust today, but not as bad as we have had in the last few days. They have clocked them at 54. 51. and 49 miles a hour. I know they made it sound like a jet engine.

Some schools cancelled, but most ran about a hour late. It hadn't warmed up much even delaying the starting time. Tomorrow is suppose to warm up some. I know hubby stayed in bed today to keep warm and sleep to make up for last night when he didn't sleep that good. His room is on the northwest corner of the brick building. When the winds are out of the north and northwest it is always cold. He even ate in his room today. He said he was alright just cold. Of course, it always makes me wonder with him.

I have two more redwork Valentine tea towels ready for laundering and putting in my etsy shop.  I have been working to replace some that have arrived at their new homes. I do have one block of my tractor quilt done. I always have more then one project going at once. Do you do that too?  The hands and mind have to stay occupied thinking about what I am doing rather then worry about things that I can not change no matter how hard I want to. They did another physical therapy evaluation to see if he could go back down stairs, but with the right leg not wanting to support him like it should doesn't sound as though he will get to. Just keep praying for some changes. It just part of the roller coaster ride of life.

I hope you all are staying as warm and safe as possible. I know that I am. Take care and have a good weekend coming up.

That wind sounds frightening, Shirley. With the cold it must have been terrible. I hear we are going to have the cold well into next week. I have a bit of running out almost everyday, but thank goodness it's just from the warm car into a warm place. I so need to get out, cold or not. I'm cooped up and just need fresh air.

Take care and stay warm, my friend.

XO,
Jane

Oh my, your windy weather does sound very cold. It is actually 25 degrees here right now with the high today of 36 degrees. I was ready for some cold weather, but this Carolina girl is starting to wish for some warmer days. Prayers for you and your husband. And, to answer your question, yes....I have several projects going at once. Quite frankly because I get bored easy and once that happens, I need to go do something else for awhile. Hugs!!!

You are a strong woman and smart to keep busy as there are some things you just can't change. I am still learning those things. Your hubby is lucky to have your love and support, and I hope you both stay warm -- my kids are off school in Michigan today for freezing temperatures! Hugs!

Wow, that is windy. I am glad you didn't loose power. That's sad that your Hubby's room get cold and that he still feels cold today. He might have really gotten chilled and just didn't warm up. You must brighten his day with your visits and phone calls.
Winds are headed our way, oh boy. Our temps are at 0 and going to get colder. We also have snow coming tonight and tomorrow. I was supposed to go to a church all day craft get together. I have been looking forward to it but now rethinking going.
We just had the repairman here fixing frozen pipes again.
Stay warm and be careful.
It's good that you are keeping busy. You have the best attitude.

Isn't this cold weather getting old? Those winds were fierce where you are, we didn't have it quite that bad here in mid-MO. Hope you stay safe and warm, Shirley. Have a nice weekend!

Oh, Shirley- It is so very cold all over, isn't it? I feel bad that your hubby is suffering from the cold in his room. The wind can sneak in through the tiniest of cracks.

I am glad you have your needlework to get you through these days, Shirley.

Saying a prayer for you and your hubby and praying also for an early Spring- xo Diana

Shirley, It was 8 degrees here in East Tennessee last night and we will be back into the single digits by the middle of next week. Think positive thoughts and I hope that your husband's health improves. Having a hobby is helpful in times like you are experiencing... Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
