Scattered Showers and Dark Sky

This was looking at the sky when I got home this evening from the ballgame that they won 19-0. They had one of the other teams  watching them play that they are to play next week. They have been lucky, but they also have practice two times a week. They are constantly working with the boys and girl when she is there to play better.  It was a little warm this evening watching. The clouds really looked like it was going to rain, but all we got was a sprinkle and it rained on me coming home just enough to be a nuisance to where you had to run the wipers. The rainbow was pretty to look at as I was driving home.
Look at what was back at our airport again this week. They had school going on with several different countries here taking part in it. Our c-130's fly over the house quite often. We use to go over to the cafe at the airport so we could watch the planes. You never knew who or what you were going to see. The life fight helicopter that is stationed  there can land at the hubby's nursing home. We watch it land and take off when they had the health fair.
Have you ever priced a walk-in bath tub? Well I did and I was absolutely shocked at the price. Believe me they are far from being cheap. I think they are made of gold.
I won't get to watch the boys ride this weekend. I have a bridal shower that I am going to with my daughter. The shower gift is done except for pressing so you probably know what she is getting. I will post pictures after this weekend. Something new that I did and I really liked how it turned out.
My oldest won't be going to summer school. They didn't have enough kids sign up for it. I don't know if he was disappointed or not. I was looking forward to playing chauffeur for him and his friend. Oh!well I can understand where they are coming from if they don't have enough to make it worthwhile. .
I finished up two custom orders this week so you know my hands have been busy, but when you don't have a lot of changing colors they go faster. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I will be popping in and out as time permits. We have a doctor appointment this next week. Hopefully the doctor can give us some answers. I just keep hoping for a miracle. It is always better to thinking positive then negative.
Have a wonderful weekend. Take care.

Walk in bath tubs are not available here, but I have seen them in American magasines. How do disabled people bathe here? We put a stool under the shower and handrails on the wall. The stools are special ones with metal legs and a plastic seat with holes. Big rubber stoppers on the legs of the stool to prevent slipping. You need a handrail to help with getting onto the stool and off again.

You are always busy, Shirley! I bet the gal that gets your shower gift is going to be really pleased. Those are treasures that are hard to come by anymore.

Too bad about the summerschool. They are talking about jumping SweetCheeks a whole grade level for next year. She is already the youngest in her class-so I don't know..but she is doing work that is 2 grades ahead of the one she is in. She does her older sister's homework for her sometimes. lol

I hope that the doctor visit goes okay, Shirley. I will pray for a miracle for your hubby, too. It is just so sad, I know, to not see the improvement you would like to see.

I have not priced those tubs but I know they are very expensive.

Hugs and blessings to you from your Wisconsin friend. xo Diana

The team sounds like they are doing fantastic!
I am sorry they price the tubs so high. An outrage.

You and your husband are in my prayers.

You are so busy with family; and you still find time to stitch. :) Keep those positive thoughts; and I will say a prayer for a miracle....sorry to hear about the tub. I see the commercials; but had no idea the price.

Shirley, You seem to keep busy. I would love to see planes and helicopters taking off and landing. I took a couple flying lessons once, thought I wanted to learn to fly...probably would have too, but the airport I would be flying in and out of had those high tension wires too close for comfort for me. Yikes. Hope you week is a good Shirley. xoxo,Susie

Oh, you are such a busy lady!! Who ever gets that shower gift will really be blessed. It is a treasure to get a hand stitched gift!

I worked at the airport for 30 odd years and like you always found the planes (and passengers sometimes) fascinating! We now have the the C-130's here too.

I do have a walk in tub and yes they are pricey. We had a standing shower in the basement and an enclosed tub up stairs. I was still working, and it was too difficult to stand that long & shower. Anyway over the years we have tried to make our home handicap friendly so we can stay here.

Enjoy your day and hope things go well at the doctor this week.

Blessings,
Gert

Your shower gift will be very welcomed if it is what I think it is! Anyone would be thrilled to receive such a gift.

I hope all goes well with the upcoming doctor's visit. I will say a prayer for you and your hubby.

I'm hoping we get some of that rain this week here in mid-Missouri. We really need it. The rains that have been so spotty have mostly missed us.

You take care, Shirley. Thank you so much for stopping by! Hugs, Cheryl
