Cool Air come Back

Can all of our hot weather be because the Chief's training camp came to town? There is no guarantee that they will be back with this is the last year of their contract. They are talking about having their own facility. At the utmost, they only have to renew it for a year.  Most of the things that you can go watch are of the morning. They did have family day this last Saturday, but when I think of what they charged. I know that we have a lot of travelers here in our city.
I have been home today. They brought my mower back this afternoon so now I don't have to rely on someone else for the use of their mower. I just have to pickup my grandson and bring him to my house. He can use it. He will have to get use to it because theirs is a zero turn and mine is not. I am just glad to finally have it home. I can even use it myself.
I got the picture of my grandson showing off his trophy. It is a better picture then the one that I took and he couldn't be prouder. They have taken a few weekends off from showing horses. Partially because of heat and partially because of the shows being rained out. The way it is going they may be showing in October. The next one coming up is the 2nd of August. I don't think they are going. It has been taken over by another organization and is just not the same as it use to be.
I thought I would show you one of my latest tea towels. I have finished three that went to new homes and I have another one that I am going to make into a small table runner. The border on the tea towel will really work for what she wants.
I have spent several days at the nursing home. It gets to be so frustrating at times. Sometimes I think they are just giving me lip service, I don't go away. I can be like a bad penny, but I don't like to do that. It doesn't make me feel good. I am not that kind of a person. I just want them to listen to what I am telling them.
I hope you all are managing the heat that we are having. I thought maybe we would get a little rain yesterday, but we only had a few sprinkles nothing to amount to anything. I was hoping for some more in the 70's and low 80's. If you have to be out in the heat, please be careful.
Vehicles can get terribly hot when they sit in the sun. I found that out when I got a set of keys out of the compartment in car to open the garage. It was hot enough you could almost burn your hand. I knew it got hot, but that was really hot. I wonder if I could fry eggs on the concrete.
Enough rambling and I hope you all have a good week. Take care and stay cool.

O, it's been so hot here, I feel sure I COULD fry an egg on our driveway.
Hope things are good with you.
Try staying as cool as you can. :)

It is cooler here today but we are under a tornado watch. We have actually had a cooler than normal summer. I don't do the heat well.
So sorry that things are so frustrating at the nursing home. Is it staff or management. They are so costly you need someone to listen.
Love the picture of your grandson on the horse. So glad they live near you. Hugs

Hurray for your grandson and his trophy and you for getting your mower back. Our weather has been crazy, too. It seems to change every minute but the humidity is constant. I love to work in my garden but when it's humid it turns into a chore. I remember when the rain would zap the humidity out of the air. No such luck anymore!

I hope you have a good week, Shirley!

XO,
Jane

Shirley, Your grandson looks great being a winner.:) I know they work hard at what they do. Sorry you got the heat back and had to stay so long at the home to make sure things got done. It pays to watch what goes on at times. I think of you whenever I hear of bad weather out that way. You are in my prayer dear friend. xoxo, Susie

Hope it cools off for you soon. We are expecting temps in the 80's this week. Keep after the nursing home to satisfy you and your husband.

Congratulations to your grandson!
That tea towel is so very pretty.
I know exactly how you feel. I have had to become assertive in my own health care over these last years. I just don't want to do it. But if you don't sometimes, you just get pushed along. Not the help you need. So very frustrating.
