GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE

The sunshine is out today after yesterday, with the bitter cold, a little snow, and a mixture of rain and snow. It didn't amount to much. It hasn't warmed up much today yet, but tomorrow we are to have 64. It is unreal that is for sure.
My magnolia tree before the cold weather hit. Two nights in the 20's now it is brown looking. Oh! well, got to enjoy it for a few days.
I thought I better check in before I go to the nursing home. It has been very emotional days without getting the answers. Hubby's ammonia level went back up and they can't tell me why. When I get irritated, I cry especially when I get really mad. I still think they are missing something. He made the decision if they find him unresponsive and not breathing that he doesn't want them beating on him and breaking his bones. It is a hard decision to accept, but I thoroughly understand where he is coming from. He has been through so much over the years. We take every day we are given.
The music program was very enjoyable and made a great change for me. My oldest grandson has got his truck put back together finally which made him really happy. They did the work at school with his instructor supervising. He was only out the parts which was way lot cheaper then if he had someone else do it for him. His instructor just happened to look at his brakes and told him that his truck didn't roll out of the shop until that was taken care of also. He is learning so much.
I let him use my computer and found out when I went to post that he hadn't changed things back like I wanted. It makes you really wonder about these kids at times. When you ask a question, they just take care of what you need and you still don't know how to do it yourself.
Have you ever had someone want to make a purchase and the next thing they wanted was your pattern? That is a new one for me. I make things for people only. It takes all kinds of people to make the world go around.
It will be hit and miss of me for awhile. I just don't have enough hours in my day to do everything I need to do. I really appreciate all of the prayers that you all are saying for us. You are a very special bunch of people here in blog land and help in so many special ways whether it is a comment here, and e-mail you are very special people.
Hope you all are getting ready for Easter. I just have to show up at my daughter's. The kids take care of mom because they don't think I eat. I truly do. Take care and stay safe and warm.

Shirley, I wish the home when your husband is staying could be counted on to take proper care of him. My daughter works in a rest home....she's has the Alzheimer's unit..she was offered another wing unit..she said she wanted a raise if she took it...because the last person in charge leaving..left it a mess. She thought her co-assistant could handle the Alzheimer's unit...then the first day she catches that lady taking an extra long break (to smoke, damn.) She told the co-asst. , "I thought you could do this unit right, why have you not check Mr. Wilson?" The Co-asst. said I checked him this morning...OMG...it was 11:00 by then. My daughter told the girl...you can not check these patients enough...they need to be tended too often. SO , it's insane how health care is. One will work themselves crazy and others will work as long as the boss is looking. I pray for you and your hubby. xoxo,Susie

So sorry Shirley. I hope they can give you some answers. It's sad that you have to worry so about his care. I'm sure he looks forward to seeing you.
Sending you some ((((hugs)))) and will say some prayers.

We are also having freezing temps after a warm spell. Snow expected again. Winter isn't over yet!
Sounds like you are keeping your chin up and taking each day as it comes, despite frustration and worry. I hope your husband is feeling better soon.

You are such an inspiration with your attitude about life and you handle things with such grace and dignity. Even when you want to scream and yell! Wishing you all the Easter blessings possible!!

Too bad about the Magnolia. The lady that used to live across the street had a beautiful one that she covered with sheets when the temps dipped. When she died the house was sold to what I call a slum lord. The tenent's kids began climbing it and breaking branches. Then they got out a saw...it's sad.

It's amazing how healthcare is. I'm sorry you can't get the answers you need. It's hard to understand why.

Sometimes when people ask for the pattern, I want to give them some BS on paper and would love to see their face when they look at it. Brother. But I can't be mean. Sometimes I WANT to be, but I just can't.

Enjoy your Easter with the kids...they are GREAT kids. You did good.
xx, Carol

Oh Shirley, I'm so sorry about your hubby. I had to make that decision for Tom. It wasn't easy but knew it was the right thing. He did not need them breaking his ribs. Your grandson is learning a valuable lesson there at school. What a great teacher he has. I pray for you and your hubby. Blessings and have a wonderful Easter.
