ARE YOU READY

Are you ready for your Holiday Celebrations? Do you have everything done that you planned on doing?
Maybe you are wishing for that elf to help you finish with the last minute projects, or whatever I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish all of my friends a very HAPPY HOLIDAYS.
We babysat Matt and Jake last night while mommy and daddy went to the Christmas Party. We had our first snow which started right before we left to go to their house. People do not drive with common sense when the streets and roads get slick. Ten cars and trucks involved in one accident alone. So if you travel and have some snow on the roads, please be careful because I still want to read your blogs in 2011. It took them almost a hour to get home because they had to find ways to get around the accidents. Hopefully I will have more time in the coming year, but you never know, we can dream and wish right. Tomorrow I hope will be the last trip to the city for doctor appointments for this year I hope.
I did finish my shopping Saturday and the boys here at home hubby and son is going to do the wrapping for me. I just have to tell them who gets what. It will give them something to do while I am at work. I haven't been told if we get Christmas Eve Day off or not yet. Maybe we will find out tomorrow, but then we may be home because of the weather, who knows.
We had a very enjoyable evening with Matt and Jake. They both went to sleep while watching television. They had a very busy day and Matt still needs to take that nap, He was excited that his Lego buddy Uncle John was going to be at his house. They built all kinds of things including an ambulance, fire truck, and a boat.
It is time to call it a day with tomorrow being another work day. Have a wonderful week and
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

I'm ready!! Thank you so much for stopping by! You always make me smile!

I remember as a child standing on the stepstool to help my Aunt Nena with the candy cane cookies.

Every Christmas I think of that memory and whenever I make the candy cane cookies :)

How about an egg cheese casserole. I used to make that for every potluck way back when!

Merry Christmas and safe travels!

Hi Shirley. Mom and Dad aren't doin too well.Dad has had a round of tests all month and they all came back fine, which is great, but niether feel good...they have both had a virus...with this weather they couldn't get out..didn't have the energy to go shopping...just down...You probably know exactly what I'm talkin about. I wish there was something I could do.
With everything goin on I haven't been able to get my xmas decor up..thst's why I haven't posted much of that and I still haven't been able to shop for Jim. I know...it's Wed. Hopefully when he gets home, we can walk up to the van (it's sleeting) and I can do some gift shopppin for him. My allergies are still here, but at least I don't feel funky since they doubled my dose. Jim seems his infection is gone. Next week we close the shop for vacation. Jim get's off Fri. and works the Mon after Xmas, but then is off til the Mon after NY. Woohoo. It'll probably snow more, or ice, and we can't get out. I know we won't get to go to Tenn. [( We'll reeeeallly miss that.
I'm glad you get Fri off. I hope St Anthony helps your son find a job in the NY and his asthema calms down. I also hope John's infusion makes him feel better.
I hope your whole family has a very Merry Christmas and you all desearve a healthy and happy New Year!
