Freezing Drizzle

I will try again. Have you ever got a blog all the way written to only lose it before you could get it published. That is exactly what happen earlier this evening.
Now you know what kind of a day I have had. We have been having freezing drizzle this evening and how much we are going to get is anyone guess. Our weatherman sure hasn't been very good the last few days.
We didn't warm up very much today that is for sure and the temperature is dropping. Why do you always get stuck doing what ever the guys don't want to do when you are the only woman? It seems like if there is a problem I get stuck trying to solve it. I don't know how I get to be so lucky.
It depends on what it looks like in the morning whether I go to work or not. I don't handle ice very well. If it is snow, I can normally get around in it. I keep looking at some of the pictures of states north and east of us and remember the weather we had last year. I don't know if there is a place that you can go where it is warm for this time of the year.
Did you see where the Branson Belle ran aground and people had to spend the night on it. You sure wouldn't get any sleep on it. We have gone on it and you have rows of table and chairs for your lunch or dinner while you watch the entertainment. It definitely would be an experience.
We are babysitting our oldest two grandsons this Saturday night while mommy and daddy go to a Christmas party. They want Uncle John to come so I won't have to do much.
I went to stamp my tea towels that I was making for my daughter and my iron went Kaput.
I don't have a clue what kind of an iron to buy. Have any of you got any suggestions. I just know it wouldn't get hot enough to stamp the patterns.
I have to get my Christmas shopping done for the boys. Grandpa has knitted each a new Afghan. He has a few mistakes, but for someone who will be 71 years old in February and have health issues he doesn't do to bad. The boys will love them regardless.
Hope you all are having a wonderful week so far. Take care and stay warm.

Hi sweets! It's cold here, but we rarley get snow. Thank goodness! My iron went kapooey last month. I got a new one, but I don't like it much. It doesn't get hot enough and the automatic shut off drives me nuts as it shuts off too quick. I think I will save for a Rowenta. I might check at Tuesday Morning or Marshalls for one.

Hello my dear Missouri friend!
I hope the drizzle and the roads have cleared so you can do your final shopping in safety!
I know your hubby made wonderful blankets for the boys.....it is wonderful that he has learned to knit....something I can do, but I have a tendency to make everything too tight! lol!
Have fun with your grandboys....
Merry Christmas!

Hi Shirley,
Sure sounds like you are having a lot of wicked weather already. I wish I could send you a bit of our warmer Texas temps to melt the ice for you. Today is to be in the 70's and this week hit 78 on Wednesday. Not much like Christmas with that weather, but the night cool down a lot when the sun goes down.

As for the iron. I got a Rowenta last August and love it. The best iron I have ever owned. A bit pricy but performs wonderful and that alone will pay for itself in no time.

Best wishes to you for a wonderful holiday. Thank you for stopping by and your kind comments.

Merry Christmas my friend and all the best in the new year.
Love to you and hugs from Texas,
Celestina Marie

I'm catching up with the blog world! I know you must be so busy with Christmas fast approaching. I'm ready to start relaxing. You sound like you need a nice tropical vacation! I hope we don't get any of your kind of weather this year. We have a 74 degree day coming up. We had a 77 degree day this week. It was so nice and appreciated! I'm already totally sick of winter. I can't believe your husband knits! That's wonderful. I'm hope you're having tons of fun with your grandchildren. Have a blessed and wonderful Christmas!

Oh my honey I guess I have it made as far as weather after reading your post and Libbies from MN. They had 16 inches of snow. It is cold here at night and warms up around 2pm.
Would love to live in the North but could not handle the winters.
Just wanted to come by check on you and wish you a Very Merry Christmas!
