Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you in blog land. The snow arrived this past Thursday with the high winds causing blackouts. I went to work on Friday, but it took a while to get there.  They are predicting more snow, but hopefully it is going to miss us, but some of the areas that may have snow aren't prepared for that kind of weather. The ground is white and the kids have enjoyed sledding and tubing. Snow Creek down by Weston, Missouri has open so you can hit the  slopes close to home if you want to ski, snow boarding, or tubing. They make artfical snow, but the snow helped them too. I don't ski, but I like to watch them on television. I don't know about you, but I do have favorites.
If you are traveling, please be careful. We want to be able to visit you next year. Have you thought about your New Year's Resolution? I know I am rushing it since we haven't even had Christmas yet, but I want the year over with and let a new year begin. I am praying that 2013 will be a better year for all of us. The sun is trying to break through the clouds. We got up in the 40's yesterday, but it is only 18 degrees now with winds coming out of the north.
We talked to our oldest yesterday. His dad was wanting to talk to him. He was working Christmas day. When I talked to him earlier, he said he had it off. He always worked holidays and this will make his day go faster being he didn't come home. I am glad about it with all of the bad weather that is being predicted. We still have icy patches on the streets. I don't think they treated them. I know that they used a road grader to clean my street.
Well I need to get back to my baby quilt that I am embroidering. Merry Christmas to all of you.

I said some prayers for you last night. I am hoping that your new year is much better. Don't know how you do this with a full time job and all. Hope you have a nice Christmas.......and your hubby does as well.
We had a icy snowy day on Friday. Of course my first day that I left the house for fun. Home safely and think I have this holiday handled. Not bad for a 3 week migraine. Good thing I planned ahead and that the hubby was able to by some ready made food, hah.
Be safe and cozy my friend.

I hope your Christmas was wonderful, Shirley. I pray your New Year will be beautiful and blessed. I'm looking forward to a fresh start myself. God is good. All the time.

Thank you for coming by and for your well wishes for my surgery. I'm scared, but I'm not freaked out. I know I'm in good hands. It's the recovery I'm worried about... But~trusting God will help my high-maintenance-self get through it without too much whine or angst! :)

Blessings to you and know I sooo appreciate your kind words.

Love to you~
