Merry Christmas

Christmas is quickly approaching and things will definitely be different at our house.
I brought my hubby home from the hospital back to the nursing home last night. The only way to fix the hip dislocation is surgery and he would never make it after receiving 7 units of blood the last time. He will walk again, but with a limp. It will probably be a good 6 weeks to 2 months yet to go before it gets healed. I just wonder what will happen next. I just know the doctor and us were on the same page about the surgery. He would really like to know when it happened, but that will probably remain a mystery.
I am listening to it rain and it is not that far above freezing so I don't know if I will wake up to ice or snow. I didn't go up to see hubby just talked on the phone. I went to the store and got me some groceries so I would have something in the house to eat.
I talked to my oldest this past Saturday evening. I came home and baby sit the oldest two while mommy and daddy went to a Christmas party. I had really a good time with the boys. We ate KFC chicken strips, mash potatoes, gravy and cold slaw with hot biscuits. That was fine with me.
The kids told me they were going to wrap me in bubble wrap. My oldest grandson went up to check on his other grandfather. He found him in the floor. He had a stroke and is paralysis on the left side at the moment. He is in the Va hospital. I am thankful that he was still alive. I don't know how it would have been if he had passed away.
My son asked my daughter-in-law what she wanted for Christmas. She told him she just wanted to do for the kids this year.
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Shirley- You have certainly had a round of bad luck. It is so sad about the kids other granddad. You just wonder why some families have to suffer so much. I am praying for your husband and for you, Shirley. I hope it all goes well with his recovery this time-xo Diana

Hi Shirley,
I'm new to following your blog but just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you and your family. Hope that your husband recovers quickly. I know from experience that walking with a permanent limp is not as bad as those with perfect gait believe. I also hope the your d-i-l's father recovers soon.
What a fraught time you are having. Try to enjoy a relaxing Christmas.

Dear Shirley,
I am glad to join you for toast and coffee this morning.
I am so sorry to read about the grandfather having a stroke. I pray he will be comfortable and improve. And, I continue prayers for your hubby. I hope the surgery goes well and he can come home for good. I know that would be a joyous gift for you.
Stay warm and safe inside during the bad weather my friend. We had very high winds all through the night and one of our trees are down this morning and some of the neighbors trees as well.
Thank you for your friendship through blogland.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and many blessings in the New Year.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
