THE SNOW ARRIVED

The snow is coming down right now. The ground is white. I need to run another errand, but I am debating as to what I want to do. I am not venturing that far from home. Just the post office and the bank. My picture is from one of our previous snow storms. At least the wind has died down so that is a plus.
The  nursing home had unexpected visitors this week. I talked with one by phone and my hubby had already talked to one about getting help to try to walk again. He wants to walk even if it is just up and down the hall. I know he gets tired of the wheelchair. We will have to wait and see if anything changes.
I am so ready for Spring. I am hoping that I can make it to the city this next week for two doctor appointments. I really don't want to cancel them because I have been waiting on them. They are for me. See I do take care of myself even though my family wonders at time. One is a follow up from my eye surgery to see how I am doing.
Tomorrow is the first day of February. Where did January go? Is the whole year going to fly that fast? It is almost like blinking your eyes and it is gone. Ethan's pinewood derby was suppose to be tomorrow, but we will have to wait and see. They may have to cancel it because of the weather.
There won't be a basketball game this week because of the Super Bowl. Have any of you seen the Budweiser commercial "Puppy Love". It is really cute. They always have good commercials. Some of the others that I have seen I am not to impressed. They tell me it is because  I am partial to horses.
It is, also, hubby's birthday. He was born on Ground Hog .  He thought he was going to deduct age instead of becoming older.
I don't think the custom order that I was approached about will happen. They wanted 7 by the third of February. I can't make them that fast. Do you think that my tea towels look like they are stitched on the machine? I do them all by hand. Now if they wanted  to wait on them, it would be no problem.  Oh well, win some and lose some.
Have a wonderful day. Stay safe and warm wherever you are at. If you have to be out, just be safe.

The snow is coming down here too! I am glad to see the last of January!
I hope that your husband will be able to walk some. That would be wonderful. I will pray with you for that!

Oh- Stay safe and warm, Shirley. I hope that the people at the nursing home listen to, and are able to help, your hubby. Poor man.

That is too bad about the orders. They must think you have magic fingers, Shirley...lol

Have a good weekend and don't venture out on the bad roads unless you absolutely have to go-xo Diana

Shirley, I understand about the order...Some people don't know what it takes. You be careful getting out and about. That commercial you are talking about, would make me go buy a puppy or horse, not a darned old beer. Love those big horses...so pretty. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie

Glad you are looking after yourself. It is easy to forget to do the little things and then they become the big things.
The customer you mentioned sounds very foolish. Good handwork takes time. If they wanted these things so badly and knew so much, then they would have done the job themselves.

If you ventured out I hope you are home again and warm and cozy.
I hope they can help your husband. If he wants that so bad he would really try if they help him. Even to walk around his room.
So glad you are taking care of yourself. Hope you make it to those appointments.
Our daughters basketball game was going on during the pinewood derby here. Fun to see all the excitement.
It is supposed to snow here again. The cold finally is giving us a break.
I am getting over a stomach virus.......slowly.

I hope you don't have to travel too much on these miserable roads-- we are expecting a winter storm tonight/- I'm so tired of it all!

I am continuing to say a prayer for your husband-- you have both traveled a difficult path of late--

Shirley. Isn't it nice to have this storm behind us? I'm keeping all in prayer here. For your grandson's hearing. Your husband wanting to walk again. For your appointments coming up also. You just keep in mind dear friend, that you stay so very busy. You need to take time off just for you. I love stopping in here to see what's going on in your life. You're a dear lady.
