HOME EARLY

This picture can be used today. We have over 8" of snow on the ground and it is still snowing. They are now predicting up to a foot, but we don't know. I did make it to work today without problems, but they sent me home at 1 P.M. and I had to call them to let them know that I made it home o.k. Whether I work tomorrow or not depends on how much more snow we get and whether I can get out or not.
There has been so many accidents today. They said there is a stretch of our Major Highway 29 that looks like a parking lot because of all of the slide offs. People just need to slow down because the they can't keep up with trying to plow the snow with the way that it is coming down.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the weekend. We had a little snow yesterday and both days were cold. Our Chiefs lost their playoff game yesterday to the Baltimore Ravens. I sure wouldn't have gone and sit in the cold.
I am watching it snow while I drink a cup of hot tomato soup with cloves in it. The kids will probably be out of school again tomorrow. Especially if the wind picks up.
My Baby Blocks quilt is progressing. I am debating on if I want to show you a couple of the blocks that I have done. I think it will be cute when it is finish.
You all have a wonderful day. I am just glad to be home safe and sound. Take care

Ohhh Shirley...I live in Maryland and I was pulling for the Chiefs yesterday!

You really got a lot of snow! I hope they don't make you work tomorrow and I am glad you got home safe.

We had snow last Friday and Sunday morning and are supposed to be getting more tomorrow so I am off to the grocery before all the toilet paper gets gone! *giggle*

Love,
LuLu~*xoxo

We had snow here in Texas too. I thought this year was suppose to be mild for us. Guess not! Starting to get used to the 4" of snow every year. I remember a time when kids had never seen snow in their lives. Now we get tons! Global warming?? I think not! Take care of yourself and don't drive in that mess.

Hi Shirley,
I love the pic you share and I can just imagine that kind of snow from days of growing up in Michigan.
Glad you got off early today and I hope you get tomorrow off too. Stay cozy and warm inside and get to work on your quilt blocks.
Stay safe and be careful.
Hugs from cold and snowy Texas,
Celestina Marie XOXO

Hi Shirley! Hope you got to stay home today. We're getting your snow right now. Dad went in the hospital yeaterday morning. They found a lung virus. He'll be there for a few more days:( I'm stuck here at the house til this lets up. Mom stays with Dad in the room til he's home so she's with him, but with her in a wheelchair she can't get around with me not there. If it's not one thing it's another! Jim is gonna try to get to the hospital at lunch, but it's getting worse by the minute...roads are closing down all over...I hope to get there later, but M and D say not to try I'll nake em worry :P
Glad to here you got some good news on the med front. Can't wait to see you quilt blocks :)
