Saturday Afternoon At Home

I don't know how I was lucky enough to have some time at home this afternoon, but I am taking advantage of it.
Have you ever been bother by telephone surveyors or they call themselves consumer research?? I have had one company call three times yesterday and so far three times today. To the point, I wish my telephone was out of order like my picture.
I learned something new about my car today. I have a symbol of a car going down an incline that came on. According to my book it is to help me when you drive in the mountains or steep hills. Well, I found out there is a button on my gear shift that you can turn it on and off after I took it to the dealership to see about it. The service writer read in the book the same as I had, but he knew about the button on the gear shift that I didn't. I guess I must have actually hit when I shifted gears.
It wasn't a wasted trip because I wanted to go to Joanne's before I came home. They have a much wider selection then we do at our store plus a lot more friendly helpful people.
Some places forget about their customer service and it will come back to haunt them.
I am not looking forward to this next week and I hope that the weatherman is wrong. He is now talking sleet and freezing rain on Monday. I hope not. I don't handle that kind of weather.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. Take care and stay warm.

Hope you have all your car "Issues" fixed. No fun to have your car doing funny things. A girl can't be bothered with that! I came by to see your pretty new banner designed by my sweet friend LuLu of Coastal Sisters! She was telling me about your blog. LOVE IT! Charlene

Shirley, thanks for visiting my blog today. DO try that Neutrogena foot cream on your hands. I haven't had cracked heels in years! It keeps my soles so nice and soft! I think it would be great for hands too. Not when stitching though! :-(
Keep warm!
Hugs,
Diane

Sure glad it wasn't anything serious with your car. All these new fangled gadgets they add then don't mention enough info of them in the book.

Thank you for stopping by and giving me encouragement. I don't think your selfish at all. When you put your life on hold for someoen it's only natural to want the things you have missed.
I was shopping today and hurring along as fast as I could when I realized I don't have to hurry anymore. I won't get in trouble for taking too long. Silly little things like make me feel like I'm getting away with something. So many things have been stiffled over the years, I didn't even realize them anymore. Just weird.
Lots of couseling we will need. I started last week, my daughter starts next week, then the boys will start.
Long process I'm sure. Hoping to find 'me' again.
Stay safe and keep warm

Hey Shirley - we are getting snow here too so I think I have an understanding of what it must be like there - 8 inches is a big snowfall!
We don't have Joanne's here but we are lucky enough to have a quilt shop that sells wonderful fabrics. And I even get to work there part time. No money comes home though!
Hope you're doing well and staying warm!

Oh honey I hope the weather man is wrong too for your sake. I don't like to hear the word sleet anywhere near where I am. lol
Makes me cold just writing this to you.
Just had to come by and check on you since I have not been here in a while.
I must catch up while I am lucky enough to be here
Glad you figured out your car issues too.
Love
Maggie

Hi sweets. I know what you mean about those phone calls. You need to tell them, "I'm not interested and take me off your list." There is also a website where you can register your number (dont' call or stop call) and then they can't call you. Just Google for the website. I did this before I got rid of my house phone and it worked great.
Hope your weather man is wrong and you will be safe and warm all week.

Sending happy thoughts your way!
