Lucky

All I can say is we were very lucky in getting missed by the tornadoes. Joplin had some more storms today. As near as we can find out it was rain, lighting, and such. Nothing like what they had yesterday.
We have sent people from our Water Company, the red cross, from the city maintenance department with some big equipment to help do what ever they can and hopefully find some more people alive.
I have never seen as much devastation as this storm caused. They showed pictures on the news with the big rigs wrecked on I-44 that goes to Springfield. We know people who has family there and so far they have all checked in o.k.. As they agreed they can replace their homes, Of course some of the other things may be hard to replace. It will be like starting your life all over again. You can never replace your pictures and etc.
I just keep praying that the death count stops, but we will have to wait and see.
Today has been such a crummy day at work. I couldn't get much cooperation and it is getting close to my month end and year end. I hate this time of the year when you have deadlines to meet.
Then to top it off, I put my key in the door and the whole lock cylinder came out with my key still in it. We had to replace the lock so that we could lock our house. We always keep the doors locked even if we are home now. You never know who is coming to your door nor do you know what they want. Graduation is over for the high schools and the college, but the jobs sure aren't out there. It makes it rough for everybody concerned.
We had sunshine today which was nice for a change. It was a  little warm, but I will take it with the sunshine over the storms any day.
I hope you all are having a good week. Take care,

Honey I can not tell you how relieved I was to come on my site tonight and find your comment. Girlfriend I told my daughter when I got home tonight I needed to know if you were involved in those storms.
My heart and prayers to all that have lost loved ones and their homes. How horrible that storm was and thank goodness my Mo Friend was not in it.
You take care and I am sending you a big hug and love from Texas

Sweet Shirley, I am so thankful you all are safe. I also know someone in Joplin, we heard from them late this afternoon and they are all fine. One of them was missing for around 3 hours so they were all very relieved when he was found. No one can imagine what it is like to see the devastation left behind by a tornado until they see it and I wish no one ever had to see such a tragedy.

Sorry about your lock. Praying you meet all those deadlines and it all gets better for you at work very soon.

Stay safe and sleep well tonight. Sweet dreams. Hugs

I'm so glad you're ok. I was out of town all weekend and worried about you. What an awful time it has been this year for so many folks.
