STORMY DAY

The tornadoes have been all around us and you wonder what is going to happen next. We had the warning for us, but ended up getting really heavy rain and hail for which we are thankful.  It has been as though we have been in a pocket. You can see from the news that Joplin, Sedalia, and other areas have not been so lucky. My heart goes out to all of those who have been affected by the storms.
It is still raining here tonight and going to drop down anywhere from low 50's to possibly into the 40's. This is just crazy that is all I can say. It has really been hectic at work working one short at the present time and then we had one who wants hours, but he doesn't want to work for them. Whatever happen to you put in a day's work and you get paid for a day's work? My mom and dad always told us when you worked you did the best that you could and you treat people how you wanted to be treated. I had one today that I would have loved to told there was the door. It was one of those who think that a woman should not work in what they consider a man's world. I still put the quote together and it makes me want to laugh at them, but I bite my tongue as the saying goes and treat them nicely even though I don't feel like it.
This Sunday we are going to a 100th birthday open house for my husband' s aunt. She is the only one left on his mother's side of the family. She told me at Christmas she didn't think that she would make it, but she did. I just hope it is a nice day and not raining. We don't get to see her as often as we would like. I won't go into why, but I think that it is silly.
Our grandson's t-ball game was rained out last weekend and this weekend may not be any better, but hey I got three days off. I will thoroughly enjoy it and hopefully get to sleep a little late in the morning.
I am going to spend some me time this evening catching up with some of my friends. I hope I can post comments. Have a great day.

Hi Shirley, thanks for the sweet email. Glad to know that things are OK, up there, even tho I heard that KC had a tornado touch down. We've missed them here in south Springfield, too. I'll be so glad when this crazy weather is over!! Take care of yourself,
big hugs, Debra

We are having storms up here, too, but I'm thankful they aren't terrible. I hope you stay safe and far from the horrible tornados.

You have good work ethics...your mother and father were very smart people. I have worked with some very aggravating people, too, but it's sometimes best to look the other way.

Have a great time at the party!

XO,
Jane

So glad you are safe. We are okay too. My nephew in Oklahoma lost his apartment and most of his things. He was out of town working when the tornado hit and we were thankful he was not home. Enjoy Sunday! We have our family reunion Sunday. Hugs
