YUCKY WEATHER

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring, but you sure can't tell it from looking out my window. Would you believe it, we have snow on the ground. It started off rain, sleet, and now snow. They say that we have only had the first round. It was about 52 degrees at lunch time and by the time I got off work it was 39 degrees. We went out for a little bit and it has dropped to freezing. Really it is so irritating, but nothing you can do about it.
I was glad that it was today and tomorrow is Saturday. I don't have anything absolutely that I have to do. I do have a hair appointment to get my hair cut, but other then that I can stay home if I so desire.
The Farmers Al mac had the snow yesterday and it is usually pretty accurate. My parents would always read it and see when the best time to plant the garden and etc. It would even tell you when the best time was to get a haircut, but then my mother always cut our hair, made our clothes. I don't know if I have told you or not that I am one of ten children. There were six boys and four girls. We always had extras at our house for baseball games, coasting parties, 4Th of July celebrations, you name it, we had fun.
I grew up on a farm and never lived in town until my sophomore year of college when I shared an upper floor with three other girls. We lived across the street from a fraternity house. All kids should go to college after high school graduation, because it is a growing up experience. They can take some of the responsibility for their life, making decision that would affect the rest of their life. I still hear from my roommates at Christmas.
Well tomorrow it is still to be snowing and cold so what a way to start a first day of Spring. I hope yours is a whole lot better.
Must close for tonight. Have a great weekend.

Hi, Shirley,
That must have been a lot of fun growing up in such a large family. We have had beautiful spring like weather up until today. Today it is cold, rainy and blustery. However in June, July and August we will be praying for rain so I try not to complain. Enjoy your weekend, my friend! Vicki
