A Quiet Sunday Afternoon

The weekend has been different then what we thought it was going to be. The t-ball game was cancelled because they didn't have enough players and then the horse show got cancelled because of the rain.
We have had a stormy weekend and have a possibility of some more later this afternoon.
Hubby went with our son this afternoon so I am enjoying some quiet time. I have been embroidering some and I listed some new items in my etsy shop.
I finished my butterfly and it is now in my etsy shop. I was happy with the way that it looked when I got it done. I hope other people like it.
The bear at the top of my post is a birthday present that my son built yesterday at Build-A-Bear. He likes doing those for birthdays, get well presents, or for a little one who has lost a parent, grand parent.  It gives them something to hang on to of their own.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.  I lost my dad on Christmas day several years ago, but I would spend time with him when I would go home from school or go home for the weekend. I always would end up at the barn sitting on the steps as my dad milked the cows. We enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table with both parents voicing our own opinions and they would voice theirs. Normally we did what they wanted, but at least we were given the opportunity to express ourselves. I see so much now days where the kids don't express themselves. I don't know if it is by choice or not allowed.
What you think of my new decorative pot holder. They are easy to take to the doctor's office to work on while we wait. I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon. Ours is hot and muggy definitely the right feel for the storms to pop up. We had levies brake to the north of us and I-29 is shut down so you have to figure out a different route if you are going north of us.
Looking out the window, the trees are starting to move so at least there is some wind. I hope we get missed but we will have to wait and see. Have a wonderful week.

IT'S SUMMER TIME

You can tell that is the summer is quickly approaching with the way that the temperature is going up during the day and cooling off in the evening. We just have not had a spring this year, maybe they were right about only having two seasons instead of the usual four seasons. Only time will tell that and what the outcome will be in the next few days of how bad the flood will be. We just want everybody to pray maybe the sand bagging and the levee's will hold.  I thought I would share a few more pictures from the birthday party last Saturday evening. The cobbler was very yummy  with the ice cream on top. the next picture that you see is of the birthday boy, Jacob and his best friend Andrew. He lives up the road from them and they both go to the same school. They both ride thesame bus. One of the things that Jacob got for his birthday was a rifle to go deer hunting this fall. It is one that he can grow with to learn that it is not an automatic. He will take the hunter safety course because of his age. He is excited. Of course his dad and uncle tried it out, plus letting him try to hit the target. It will take practice. Andrew told him anything that he didn't want for his birthday, he would be happy to take. They are so funny. They are both very helpful in carrying things for you or getting you something. Ethan was getting his ride. You can tell he is so excited by the expression on his face. He will 6 in August, but you take him for older because of his size. He loves going to summer school and doesn't want it to come to an end. I am so glad that he likes it. He will be in kindergarten this fall and go all day. His other grandparents will take him and pick him up. It will be different for them because preschool was only a half a day. Ethan's mom had to take her turn on riding too. It  had been quite a while since she had rode a horse, but as the saying goes once you learn, you don't forget. Her nephew wearing the yellow shirt is as tall as she is and they can switch shoes. She wore his boots while she rode and he wore her flip flops.
Her husband works where there is the possibility of it flooding. If it does, he said they were told it would be two months at least before they could go back. They were suppose to move the trucks to higher ground. He said that he has some other things that he can do during that time that they will be o.k. You can't worry about it because you can get ulcers.
It's official our oldest has met all of the requirements to officially have graduated from college. His diploma is suppose to come in a couple of weeks. I can officially say I have three college graduates.
This is not the post I tried earlier to do because I couldn't get to edit like I needed. It was frustrating. I hope you enjoy this one better then the first. I have been a little busy lately and I am trying to catch up with you all. Have a great weekend and stay cool.

SITTING AND WAITING

They are basically sitting and waiting for the water to get higher and try to be better prepare to have less damage here. Some people won't be as lucky. The picture is of the river running bank full as of this past Saturday. The current looked swift and moving quickly.
Because of all of the flood water some of the others will flood because the Missouri backs up into them. Some of the areas north are all ready flooding due to the levee breaking.
Check out the birthday cake, It is a very berry cobbler taken off the fire and served with ice cream. My grandson didn't want the traditional birthday cake. I think everybody should chose if they get the option. We love the cobblers that she bakes in her dutch oven.
What do you think of my grandson's fashion for riding his horse for us to show what he has been doing at riding lessons. Shorts and cowboy boots. He and his Aunt Angie traded shoes because she wanted to ride Cleo. He wore her flip flops and she had his cowboy boots. They could change their shoes very easy.
It doesn't seem like he should be 12 years old already. I can remember the day he was born very well. Her mom was suppose to be with her, but I ended up there because her mom couldn't handle it. I guess I did because I had been dealing with his grandfather's health issues for a long time.
Pat was riding when we first got there so that Cleo would be ready to ride when everybody else got there. Our youngest grandson  Ethan wore his cowboy boots in hopes Uncle Pat would let him ride Cleo.
They all had a good time and you couldn't ask for better weather. It got cool in the evening when we were out on the deck that you needed a sweater. It is down to 66 degrees so far and is still dropping. We have already dropped below our supposedly low for tonight.
We are trying to get  Pat to show Cleo in his age range. I don't know if we will succeed or not. We will have to wait and see what happens.
Have a wonderful week.

Hot Weather and its Only June

It is only June, but you would swear that it is July and August weather as hot as it has been lately. I  know that I come home with headaches from being in and out of the air-condition all day at work.
The river is getting higher and they are preparing for the higher waters to keep from having what we had in 1993. The worse problem is that part of it is because they are releasing water from the dams. They could have done it sooner when the river was lower.
This year has been very different from the floods, tornadoes, snow storms , I think we have just about had it all. They are saying we had an earthquake on the Eastern side of the state. You wonder what next. Mother Nature hasn't been choosy where she has struck this year.
This is one of my decorative pot holders. It is strictly for hanging on the wall for decoration. They are fun to do and don't take that long to do one.
I got my tea towels today so I can try the new sticky fabric that you can print your pattern on and. peel the paper and stick it to your tea towel and embroidery. It sure sounds simple and easy. I am anxious to try it and if it works like they say it will open a new door for some designs that I want to try. I have been busy, but tonight is "Me" time. I am spending time visiting here in blog land. Tonight everything has been cooperating, It is amazing at times.

Being Matt didn't get to show his pony , daddy was leading him on Cleo. His Uncle John was standing there beside him. He would come and sit with him during the horse show which made it easier to keep track of him.
This weekend we only have a morning t-ball game and then the birthday party in the afternoon. I will post pictures of what I got my grandson after the party because he looks at grandma's blog to see what I am talking about.
It  is clouding up maybe we are going to get a shower. In a way I would like it  to cool it off and settle the dust. I got my car washed, but you can't tell it.  Have a safe and hope full cool rest of the week.

FUN SATURDAY

I don't usually get fresh flowers, but I did and I wanted to share a picture with you. They were so very pretty and lasted several days.
We had a very busy day and  it turned off hot. We had a nice breeze this morning, but after the shower which didn't last long, it turned off very hot and muggy.
Hubby made it through this morning at the horse show and the t-ball game, but came home after that. Our son John and I went back to the horse show because Jacob was showing and Matt was going to attempt his first time in the arena all by himself with his pony.
We got back in time to watch Jacob in his second class. He got 5th with Cleo and this was his first time showing her. He also showed her in the halter class which had 15 horses. It was a good experience for him.
Matt was taking a breather waiting for the others to take their places on the field. They don't keep score at the game like we use to do. They just let each team bat so many times. They think they are to young to learn what it is to win and lose. I don't know what age they think it is alright  for that.
He didn't get to show his pony Baby Sis. He almost got thrown when they were warming up and daddy being the protective dad that he is would not allow him to show. I told him that he need to practice some more and we would come to watch him. He had been riding in the round pen at home which is smaller then the arena. He was going to try to do the pee wee barrels. He did get his pony to trot which made him happy with daddy riding beside him hold onto a rope.
He is only six , but he thinks he is big cheese.
The last picture is of Jacob and Cleo in the halter class. He looked really handsome in his new shirt. Have you ever tried to find a long sleeve shirt in June? He picked it out himself.
Dad said that he was going to have to find another horse so he could ride too.
Jacob was glad when each class was over and he could take his shirt off and cool off. I felt so sorry for them out in the son, because it was hot even in the shade.
Next weekend we will celebrate his 12th birthday. He will have this summer he can compete at that age and then he will have to move up to an older age bracket. When he rode her, and placed 5th, the smile was on his face. Most of the classes were large this time because a couple of the shows got rained out and some of them ride for points. Jacob doesn't because you have to go all over and they want him to stay closer to home until he gets more experience. Well take care. Have a great Sunday and stay cool.

Are You Ready for Summer

Are you ready for summer? We hit 89 today and by the weekend they are predicting the 90's. We got woke up early with the thunder, lighting, and rain. It is so crazy with the sun shining one minute and raining the next.
I just know I don't want rain Saturday. It is Jake's first horse show of the season. He is showing Cleo and Baby Sis. Baby Sis has another name which I can never remember, but Matt calls her Baby Sis. Have you ever tried to find long sleeve shirts in June in a Men's small? You have to really shop to find it.
Matt has a t-ball game Saturday afternoon. I think I can get to see both. I know that I am going to try.
I thought I would show you a couple of the projects I am working on. I have had a few interruptions and no I did not take the pictures. I got them from Herschner's catalogue. I always change things a little from the way that they show them. When I list them, they will be my own pictures.
Their picture only shows half of the table scarf.
My butterflies are coming along. I have had a few interruptions where I have not been able to work on them.
I had to take out some stitches on my butterfly tea towel. When I am tired, it it best that I don't. The oranges are really close together in color. I think they will be pretty when I get finished.
I wanted to go to Cabala's on Sunday to finish a birthday present for my grandson, but I don't know because Nascar will be in town. It might not be to bad if I can get down and get it while the race is going on. I will have to check and see. Otherwise the traffic will be horrible bumper to bumper. I can drive in it, but I don't want to do it.
Well tomorrow is Friday  another work day. I hope to get more done then I did today, but then we only had three of us doing it. When we are short handed, we do whatever is necessary to get it done.

My heart and prayers go out to all of the people affected by the storms and the flooding. They keep saying the Missouri River flood is going to worse then 1993. I hope not, but people have had a lot of advance notice.
Have a great weekend. Stay safe and cool.

JUNE IS COMING

Did you all have a nice weekend? Ours was very enjoyable with going to our first t-ball game. Matt's game brought back so many memories of when his dad and uncle played when they were little. They were so cute. It wasn't really hot with it being cloudy and the wind was blowing. Of course, we made grandpa were a hat and set him in the shade of the dugout so that he wasn't in the sun. We have to be careful because of some medication that he has to take.
Then on Sunday we went to his aunt's 100th birthday party. It was such a pretty day and got to see some people who I hadn't seen for quite a while. Of course we got pictures of the kids who are in their 40's and 30's that my mother-in-law baby sat them as they were growing up. His cousin's children age wise were in between my children in age. It is the first time that we had them all together and then they took pictures of the second generation.
We visited the cemeteries on Monday. Collecting some information off some stones and see if we can find out how they fit into the family picture. I know that my husband didn't even know he had a grandfather on his dad's side of the house until his funeral. Why they kept it from him we will never know? His family was one that didn't give you much information about the family. We have learn of some after both of his parents have died. We know that part of his health problems are hereditary.
I hated to get up and go to work today. I knew that it was going to be very hectic and I was right. I didn't get my statements out, but I got the majority done so I will finish tomorrow.
Does anyone know where the month of May went? It seem like it just started and it  is gone. The weather is going to be more like summer. we didn't really have a Spring. I know that we are going to have some flooding to deal with, we just don't know how bad. With all the rain and snow to north of us, then they are releasing water from a dam to the north of us which is really going to cause us a problem. We had rain early this morning when the storm rolled through. I hate them at night because you can't see whats coming until it is to late.  The picture is of Doc, my youngest grandson's other puppy. He looks more like the blue healer. I just know the pups keep my grandson very active and that is what we want. Well I must close. Have a wonderful week.

HARD DECISION

I haven't quite lost my mind with my picture saying to my Valentine. I just liked the flowers and white dove,
I have made the decision to close my booth at the antique mall at  the end of June. I really don't know if it is a smart move or not, but they were raising the rent, taking a percentage of your sales if it is paid for with a credit card. Then they want to charge you another fee if you don't walk for them at the mall.
I am a primary care giver and I don't have the time to donate. It would be different if they gave you something in return, but the attitude is that they want everything. I am not selling that much at the present time. I think that it is because people do not have extra money at the present time with the price of gas, utilities, and groceries. I know I spent this week's pay check on medications tonight. You just don't have the extra money to throw down the tube as the saying goes. I haven't really felt comfortable there and I have two things that got broke that was hidden in my booth. They said they didn't hear  them break . I find it hard to believe, but I said that it was a learning experience. Have you ever had the feeling that you weren't really wanted, but just being tolerated? I have that feeling and when I paid my rent she could never remember my booth number nor do I think that she even remembered my name. That is enough on that subject at the present time.
Do you have lot planned this weekend? I know that I have three days off work. Hopefully it doesn't rain anymore and we get to go to our grandson's first t-ball game. It will be so much fun. I am getting my hair cut  and on Sunday we are going to hubby's aunt's 100th birthday open house. We plan on fitting in the cemeteries sometime probably on Monday.
I, also, plan on sleeping later, but I will probably wake up the normal time. Don't you normally do that.
The picture to the left was taken on one of my daughter's job site. They were pouring concrete under water to fix a concrete spillway at a dam. I don't understand how it is done, but I just thought the picture was interesting with the type of equipment necessary. She had another picture of a lot of water where a river had gone out of it's bank. That is what we are dealing with in our area. It doesn't help that the corp of engineers is letting water out  to help another area, but because of all the rain it is flooding areas.
I know one that is building a brand new home on a lake and it may get flooded before it is finished. The water level at the lake is rising .
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend. My heart and prayers go out to those dealing with the storm lost. Take care.

STORMY DAY

The tornadoes have been all around us and you wonder what is going to happen next. We had the warning for us, but ended up getting really heavy rain and hail for which we are thankful.  It has been as though we have been in a pocket. You can see from the news that Joplin, Sedalia, and other areas have not been so lucky. My heart goes out to all of those who have been affected by the storms.
It is still raining here tonight and going to drop down anywhere from low 50's to possibly into the 40's. This is just crazy that is all I can say. It has really been hectic at work working one short at the present time and then we had one who wants hours, but he doesn't want to work for them. Whatever happen to you put in a day's work and you get paid for a day's work? My mom and dad always told us when you worked you did the best that you could and you treat people how you wanted to be treated. I had one today that I would have loved to told there was the door. It was one of those who think that a woman should not work in what they consider a man's world. I still put the quote together and it makes me want to laugh at them, but I bite my tongue as the saying goes and treat them nicely even though I don't feel like it.
This Sunday we are going to a 100th birthday open house for my husband' s aunt. She is the only one left on his mother's side of the family. She told me at Christmas she didn't think that she would make it, but she did. I just hope it is a nice day and not raining. We don't get to see her as often as we would like. I won't go into why, but I think that it is silly.
Our grandson's t-ball game was rained out last weekend and this weekend may not be any better, but hey I got three days off. I will thoroughly enjoy it and hopefully get to sleep a little late in the morning.
I am going to spend some me time this evening catching up with some of my friends. I hope I can post comments. Have a great day.

Lucky

All I can say is we were very lucky in getting missed by the tornadoes. Joplin had some more storms today. As near as we can find out it was rain, lighting, and such. Nothing like what they had yesterday.
We have sent people from our Water Company, the red cross, from the city maintenance department with some big equipment to help do what ever they can and hopefully find some more people alive.
I have never seen as much devastation as this storm caused. They showed pictures on the news with the big rigs wrecked on I-44 that goes to Springfield. We know people who has family there and so far they have all checked in o.k.. As they agreed they can replace their homes, Of course some of the other things may be hard to replace. It will be like starting your life all over again. You can never replace your pictures and etc.
I just keep praying that the death count stops, but we will have to wait and see.
Today has been such a crummy day at work. I couldn't get much cooperation and it is getting close to my month end and year end. I hate this time of the year when you have deadlines to meet.
Then to top it off, I put my key in the door and the whole lock cylinder came out with my key still in it. We had to replace the lock so that we could lock our house. We always keep the doors locked even if we are home now. You never know who is coming to your door nor do you know what they want. Graduation is over for the high schools and the college, but the jobs sure aren't out there. It makes it rough for everybody concerned.
We had sunshine today which was nice for a change. It was a  little warm, but I will take it with the sunshine over the storms any day.
I hope you all are having a good week. Take care,

THE WEEKEND

The weekend has definitely not been the one I was anticipating. The stormy weather had a lot to do with it that started on the Friday afternoon.
Our grandson's first t-ball game was cancelled on Saturday so we went on an excursion to Jamesport, Missouri. We went to a new country store that I had been hearing about. Needless to say I liked the other country store better. It had more things to chose from.
While I was there, I stopped in at the fabric shop. They have changed it all around since the last time I was there. I didn't think that they had as much in the store as they did previously. It seemed strange to see some of the shops closed not just closed on a Saturday, but closed else wise. The economy is causing people to be  hurt everywhere.
I have found a neat quilting shop in Cameron that has a lot of new fabrics that are so pretty and make you want to get really busy. They have ordered some Halloween tea towel patterns for me that I have been trying so hard to find. They are suppose to be in this next weekend. I can't wait to see them. If they were being made for anyone else, I wouldn't care so much. They are for my daughter-in-law to use as a shower gift. They had just got in a new fabrics for fall. Some had scenes on them that you could easily embellish and make into wall hangings. I just wish I had more time. I did manage to have "me" time today while my son and his dad went for a drive up to Squall Creek near Mound City, Missouri to see what birds they could see. They were looking for the bald eagle.  I got several things done such as a couple loads of laundry, washing my hair, and finished up a pot holder. I, also started a place mat. I have never worked with a material that is so hard to get a needle through as this material has been. Let's just say I am not going to do another set when this set is finished.
Last night we got caught in the start of a nasty storm, but made it home. I almost pulled off to wait it out, but I am so glad that I didn't. It stormed all night long and we were lucky not to have a tornado, but there was some wind damage. The storms have been to the south and east of us tonight. Joplin, Missouri I understand was hit by a tornado and it was still on the ground headed for Branson. They just pop up so very fast and of course, the temperature is just right for them. In the storm last night we watch it go from 83 down to 66 in less then a half hour.
Everybody stay safe and have a good week.
P.S. Meet Abby Mae, one of my youngest grandson's new puppy. I don't have a picture of Doc his other puppy yet. He has so much fun playing with them.

One More Day

The week is almost over and I am ready for the weekend. It has been rainy and cold I want some sunshine which we might get this next week. I would like it to be warm enough that you can enjoy being outside.
This Saturday is the first tball game and I don't want it to rain. It will be fun to watch. My grandson was to have practice tonight, but I don't know if they did or not with the rain that we got. It didn't rain hard just enough so you got wet and had to run the windshield wipers.
I got a nice e-mail today from Stacy, who purchased my kitten's tea towels. She loved them. It makes you really feel good when they like your work. I had to cut out tonight part of a design that I have been working on. I had put in the wrong color. I guess that is what I get for trying to work on it when maybe I should have gone to bed  instead. It is not the first time nor the last time that I have done something like that. You just hope you have enough thread to finish. . My quilt that I embroidered  should be getting close to being done. It is being quilted at the present time.. I am getting anxious to see it . We picked out a color or I should say my hubby picked out the color of the backing so that it could be reversible. You can have the embroidered side up or the color we used as the backing. I am looking for some Halloween embroidery patterns that I saw on somebody's website and I didn't book mark them. Now I can't find the ones that I saw. I guess I will keep searching and hopefully find them. My daughter-in-law wants a set for a wedding shower present for her nephew's bride to be. If anybody knows of some, Please Please leave me a comment.
I guess I am going to have to call the doctor's office. I don't really want to do that , but I have been fighting this whatever and I am losing my voice. You can feel the stupid stuff laying in your throat , you cough, but nothing goes anywhere. I don't really feel bad, but I would like to keep my voice. When I lose it, that is usually when my family loves picking on mom because she can't talk back and hubby is tired of hearing me cough at night.
Well it is time I need to go to bed. Tomorrow is another work day. Take care.

ENJOYABLE WEEKEND

The weekend went entirely to fast. It was really cool and rainy, but we had a good time. My Grandson's team won the soccer game on Saturday. They finished their season with 4 wins, 1 tie and 1 lost. I didn't think that was to bad for them.
Next Saturday T-ball starts, it will be a little easier for grandpa to watch because we will be able to get him closer to the action. They are fun to watch no matter what they are doing.
I stayed home Saturday afternoon by myself while my hubby went with our son. It was enjoyable to have some time all to myself. Have you ever laid something down and then can't find it? I have been hunting for a set of keys that I know are in the house, but where that is the question.
Our weather has been a little crazy, Some body said that we were only going to have two seasons this year and you know what I have a tendency to believe it.
I finished a couple of pot holders that I need to get my pictures taken. They are different and I think they will be liked. They are having a parking lot flea market plus giving 10% off of items in the antique mall. I am not to quite sure how I feel about that. I guess I will see what happens. They are raising the rent 20.00 a month plus charging you 3% if someone buys something with a credit card. I am trying to decide if I am going to stay or pull out. It makes for a very hard decision because I was just starting to pick up. It is hard to compete with people who buy theirs at auctions or estate sales and you make yours yourself new.
I hope you all have a wonderful week. I am trying to catch up with some of my friends being I can actually leave messages tonight.

Home Again

Maybe we will have a little normalcy at our house for a while since our son is home from the hospital. I can understand why a lot of our veterans do not like the military hospital.  It was just good to get him home. He  is doing pretty good at the present time.
Our weather is so crazy we have gone from 90 degree weather to 40 degree in just a week. Our grandson has his last soccer game and I am going to have to get my sweatshirts and coat back out. We are only going to be in the 50's tomorrow.
Our oldest grandson is suppose to have a riding camp tomorrow all day. I just hope he dresses warm.
I was glad that today was Friday and I have two days off. I was so ready for them. It has been a long week and really flown by. I think it seem that way because of everything that was going on at the time.
I am getting close to 100 followers for which I am very thankful for. I am thankful for all of my blogging family. I tried two days to leave comments, but blogger would not let me so I will be around to check up on my friends, It will just take me a little time. I will also have some new things to show you. Have a great weekend.

Summer arrived early

It felt like it was the first day of summer today. We hit 92 degrees this afternoon. I am not ready for that. We haven't been home to long from the hospital seeing our son. They want to get his blood sugars under control before they send him home which is going to be hard to do because they are still giving him steroids. I laughed at what they have given him to eat which hasn't help either. I have only lived with a diabetic since 1983 when we found out my hubby was diabetic. We aren't any closer to know when he is going to come home.
Our grandson's Team won their soccer game and he came really close to scoring his first goal. It hit the metal at the end of the net. Also had his first t-ball practice. We will finish with one and start the other. Our oldest is having quite a time because he is now as tall as I am. He thinks that is just the neatest thing.
Well I really need to close for tonight it is getting late.

PRAYERS PLEASE

I just got home from the VA  hospital visiting our son. He had a bad asthma attack and what they gave him for that has sent his blood sugar off the chart. They are keeping him to monitor what they are doing for the chemical asthma. I really wonder if they are using him as a guinea pig to see if the medication will work or not.
You all know mom's worry about their children regardless of the age.
I just need the strength to keep me going to take care of him and my other half besides trying to work. I told my other half what I expected from him at the moment and needless to say he wasn't a happy camper. He did walk this evening while we were at the hospital instead of using the wheelchair and expecting me to push him. I didn't know if he was going to make it or not, but he did.
We have the soccer game in the morning and Matt will be a tired little camper. He has T-ball practice right before the soccer game. One nice thing about it both are at the same sports complex.
We have several things we could go to this weekend. They are having a barbecue contest in conjunction with the Apple Blossom Parade tomorrow. They are, also having an ice skating show.
Well I want to say Happy Mother"s Day to all of you. I don't know what my day will bring as it is a different kind of a weekend than I thought. Well I need to call it a day. I will catch up with you all when I have a little more  time

A Beautiful Saturday

Today has been such a beautiful day with the temperature getting up to 73 degrees. The sun was shining, a little windy, but  I can handle that.
We spent the day running around with errands that had to be done. We did make it to Matt's soccer game. They lost, but it was so much fun to watch them play. You get as excited as they are and want to help. I thought he was was going to hit one that had been giving him a rough way to go. I saw that little fist double up and I thought  " Oh please don't hit him even though he deserved it. He may be little, but he can defend himself. The Air guard flew one of their C-130's over the soccer field and tipped their wings at the kids. They thought that was really neat.
We have bull riding finishing up at our civic arena tonight. They registered for free tickets when they were at the Western store buying boots for their oldest. Guess what!! They won.
I thought Kate and Williams wedding was so pretty. I loved her dress and even the dress she wore in the evening was stunning, also. I hadn't got up early to watch since I had to go work I watched the rerun which has been on off and on all day. I wonder if my great niece has got her wedding dress yet and if Kate's will influence her if she hasn't. She is getting married in September.
I want to send prayers out to those that are suffering right now from the storms, floods, loss of love ones. It all can be tragic. I hope the rain will stop for a while to let some of the water go down and they can get the crops planted.
