April Almost gone

Where has the month gone? It seens as though it only started yesterday. I know we have been lucky weather wise. I pray for all of my friends and family that no one was hurt. Our cousin in St. Louis said that it was very scary, The tornado went over their sub-divison and hit the next. They had enough advance notice to take cover. We have had some very cool temperatures and rain. We may see in the 70's the next couple of days I sure do hope so. I want to be able to wear some Spring clothes instead of winter.
Uncle John and his two nephews playing Easter Sunday. Their hats were part of the big Easter Egg that they got. They each had got new goggles for when they go swimming this year. They were having such a blast.

Later they were building cars with lego's. Matt does a good job without help just a little supervision if he doesn't understand part of the instructions. One of his imagination projects was a moving outhouse with the door and a man inside. You never know what he will build, but then when he was in daycare that is one of the things he really like playing with there.
We went last night to see Ethan and his two new puppies. They are a mixture, Part blue healer and they don't know. Abby is white with brown spots and Doc is blue with black spots. 
They went after one and came home with two. To see Ethan outside running around the yard with his puppies is really fun to watch. He wants someone to play with him. He enjoys going to pre-school because he has kids to play with him. They had their kindergarten round-up to get them signed up for fall all ready. He is anxious to go.  

 I thought I would introduce you to Cleo, the newest horse at my son's. She is the one that I think my oldest grandson wants to show this summer. He is going to be taking riding lessons this summer. Charley, his horse is being such a pill about letting you ride. He has tried to buck him off more then once, but give him credit he didn't get bucked off. I just don't want him to get hurt.

Easter Sunday

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and not eating to much.

We started off our Easter Sunday with 37 degrees. It has warmed up some this afternoon. We did our Easter family get together yesterday. We had a wonderful time with the family and ate to much which is every holiday.

The red bud tree is one that I look at every day as I get to work and leave work. It is close to where we park our vehicles. Ours here at home we lost to the bad ice storm that we had a few years ago.

Our daughter and son-in-law brought out their gators  so they could go play. The first picture is of our three grandson and their uncle john as they were getting ready to go. They had a ball. The younger ones could only ride in this seat belts. one as it had the seat belts and netting that lifted up by the back seats.

The next picture is our daughter getting the second one off of the trailer. She still laments that she didn't get to drive the race car around the block when we were on an ice skating trip and they were racing  cars up Pike"s Peak.

The next picture is them all heading out to go for a ride. They kept the boys entertained while they were hiding Easter Eggs. Spot and Shorty thought they should help, but they had to stay in their pen.

Happy Easter

I want to wish all of my friends here on Blog land a Happy Easter. We will be spending Easter at our son's with all of the family there. I will have so much fun with my three grandsons.
I, also want to take a minute to welcome all my followers. I appreciate everyone of you. You all help make my day in more ways then one.
I only have to work two more days then it will be the weekend. My job for Easter will be take the relish tray which is not that hard. My daughter and daughter-in-law are doing the cooking. Of course, my oldest grandson is baking cupcakes with his mom's supervision. He saw them in her magazine and thought that he could make them.
He likes to cook. I can remember when he was small she had left a skillet on the stove and he pushed the chair over to the stove. He had emptied her brand new bottle of parsley flakes in the skillet. He was cooking. She was just thankful that he hadn't turned the stove on.
My youngest grandson is getting a new puppy. He named her Abbie. He is getting everything ready for her to come to his house. I don't know what that includes. I just know he is excited.
We don't have a soccer game this week because of Easter, but they did have practice.

Easter Week

Are you getting ready for Easter? I finished the boys Easter up today. I did not buy candy because they will get enough with out grandma buying it.
Yesterday  part of the day was spent watching our 6 year old grandson play soccer. They are so much fun to watch. The score this week was 1 to 1. There record so far is 2 wins and 1 tie. They are really having fun.
It had a been a big week for him because he can now ride his pony in the round pen all by himself without anybody holding on to his pony. He was excited with that accomplishment.
They had been riding every evening about with weather permitting taking time for soccer practce.
Our oldest grandson is going to take riding lessons again this summer. I don't know which horse he will be showing, but we will go watch because it is fun. You can see the progress from the previous year.
Our youngest has decided that he is going to take swimming lessons so that he can swim in his Uncle's swimming pool. He told his daddy that he needed one in his back yard. He helped his dad work on their house. They thought it would be done by next weekend, but it is going to take a little longer then they thought.
We will spend Easter with our family which is all that I really want is everybody there. The younger two will have to have their Easter Egg hunt. The oldest thinks that he is getting to old for that. He told me that he would like a new pair of shorts to sleep in if I hadn't got anything for him. I bought him a pair of bright red ones that are a silky feel like you see all the kids wearing. I don't like the ones that look like they are going to lose them.
Well I need to get back to work on a special order for a Wedding gift. Have a great week and Happy Easter.

A beautiful Spring Day

We have enjoyed two beautiful days. Yesterday in the 70's and today we made it to 80 degrees. It makes you think that maybe Spring has finally arrived. Tomorrow they are predicting a possibility of severe storms. I hope they are wrong.

We received a new kind of wedding announcement. It was a picture of the bride and groom to be on a magnet asking us to reserve a special day just for them. You could stick it on your refrigerator door where you would see it often. I knew there was a possibly of getting an invitation. They have been dating for quite a while. At least they were smart and are waiting until they finish college.

Have you ever got yourself involved in something and had second thoughts after the fact. They presented it as being one way, but after you committed to it, they changed their requirements to where it will cost more money then originally stated. I should have known better, but I thought I would give it a try. My hubby didn't think much of the program. I thought it would be interesting and I could learn some more. Well the books aren't at all like they presented them.

Oh well, I guess we all have to learn about our mistakes. I have been trying to decide what kind of a camera I want. My cheap one will not let me do what I want anymore. I guess maybe there is something to the saying when you buy cheap that is what you get or something to that effect. At the time it was what I could afford.

If it keeps going like it is at work, it looks as though we will have a busy summer. We had two new houses start this week that we will be furnishing the material for. I would like to see the one when it is finished. I like the way that it is arranged with a sunroom on the back of the house. The view will be really neat to look at. With it enclosed you don't have to worry about the weather either.

Frustration

Today has been a day of frustration almost from the time I got up this morning. Have you had days when no matter what you try it was wrong?? That was my day.

We were suppose to have one come back to work or at least wanted to, but I guess the doctor hadn"t release him because he didn't show up for work. One of the others had to take family to the airport so it was definitely a day of short crew for quite a while.

I was trying to get the 10th of the months bills paid, which was a struggle with having my computer upstairs and being downstairs to help while they were all outside.

The icing on the cake was when I went to the pharmacy after work to pick up John's med to find out we have another one the insurance company won't approve. They want us to use lactulose which is like drinking syrup. It will send his blood sugar up which we are already having problems with at the present time.Why can't they just let us have what the doctor prescribed? I keep thinking I want to call the insurance company and ask them just what meds are they going to let him have without making us try all of this other stuff. We know what works and what doesn't. That is enough complaining for one evening.  We did have a good weekend. I fit in haircuts for the both of us. After that, we went to watch Matt play soccer again. His team won again this weekend. He plays in front of the goalie and gets so involved that he wants to be in the middle of the action. They have to get him backto play his position. That age is so much fun. Next week should be fun because he is playing against his cousin's team.

 Jake is starting his riding lessons again. I don't  know if he is going to ride Charley or Cleo. He wants to show Cleo this summer. I don't know if dad is going to let him or not. I don't know who they really got Cleo for. We will go watch them ride regardless of which horse. They have been riding in the evening. They just need one more horse then everybody would have one.

We went and visited with our daughter and family on Sunday afternoon. They are doing some remodeling and her husband had torn out the front door. They were putting in a new one. It definitely let you get fresh air through the house. Ethan had to show grandma how he was riding his two wheel scooter. He kept trying to push his boundaries as to how far he could go down the driveway. 

I will be anxious for them to get the remodeling done. They thought Easter, but it will take a little longer.

I hope you all have a wonderful week. Enjoy the sunshine if you have it for me. We went from 81 degrees yesterday to 43 degrees. We didn't get the storms thankful for that. We are to get down to the 30's tonight. What happen to spring.

Finally Home

It has been a very long day with doctor appointments, making more, stopping at the pharmacy with prescriptions to be filled. We left home at 6:45 A. M. this morning and got home at 7:15 P.M. this evening. We did stop and have a late lunch or early supper, I don't know which you prefer to call it. We will go back to see another of the doctors the 26th of this month.

I am still no closer to understanding his latest problem. Just how much more of a problem it is causing the liver. I just know the antibodic and the lactulose is causing a problem with the blood sugar. We may not stay on it that long because of the high dollar and I do mean high dollar. I think they think it is worth its weight in gold.

Our primary doctor helped us to pick out the most essential meds that is needed and what we could do without if necessary, but it is my final decision because I am the one who knows exactly how much we can afford. I love him because I am old enough to be his mother. He has been with us all through John's illness. If I could only sell some more tea towels, but who knows.

Vacation is put on hold at the present time. We will see what October brings.

Soccer tomorrow if it doesn't rain. It is so much fun watching the kids play. They are kindergarten and first grade. You definitely don't know what they are going to do.

I am splurging on a hair cut tomorrow, it will be a day of running and Sunday I hope will be a day of peace and quiet. The stay at home kind of a day. The storms are still to the south of us with the possibilites of bad weather tomorrow and Sunday. Our plans may change. I hope you enjoy your weekend.

April Showers

We haven't had the April showers yet, but they sure had them to the south and east of us with the hail, lightening, and all. We had the wind, lightening, and very little rain.

The soccer game Saturday was so much fun to watch. They have both boys and girls on the teams. My grandson's team won 3-0. He plays defense right in front of the goalie. We had maybe 5 drops of rain while we were there. It was cool, but rather nice when the sun came out. We enjoyed it. Grandpa got to set in the car to watch. My son took his binoculars so he could use them if he wanted to. The field was definitely not for wheelchairs and it was further then he could walk.

The Blondie in the picture is  my youngest grandson. They were on their field trip which they had a blast or at least that is what he said. They were playing doctor including the little white jackets.
I need to get some more projects done. My tulip and iris tea towels are sold and I will ship them tomorrow. You never know when you are going to get lucky. I did finish my mitten pot holders, but I need to take pictures yet. Matt and Jake have a new horse. It is a gray quarter horse mare. A nice disposition. Mom, dad, Jake, and Matt all have rode her. They call her Cleo, but that is not her registered  name. I think Jake is going to show her this summer. His pony Charley was getting to small for him. He is as tall as I am and such long legs. I can't buy him a boy's size 18 anymore. He is only going to be 12 in June, so I wonder if he will be taller then his dad.

Have you ever seen embroidered Easter Eggs like these? I don't think I would be brave enough to even attempt something like these. I borrow the picture from the e-mail I was sent. I thought they were actually appliqued at first, but further in the e-mail she said they actually embroidered and you could see the pin holes from the needles. One thing about them, they are really unique.
The birthday cookout was very enjoyable and my son loved his blue berry, red and black raspberry cobbler cooked in the dutch oven with ice cream. We had a nice visit with all them. Matt wanted to know when Uncle John was coming back to see him. He told him he would see him Saturday at his soccer game. He wants him to come and build Lego's with him.

Hooray its Friday

I was so glad to see 4:30 come today. I needed the two days off and have a change of scenery.
I am hoping that my Magnolia tree looks like this again, but with all of the weather changes. I just don't know.
Is Spring really here??? We did get to 64 degrees today and suppose to be warmer tomorrow and Sunday. We will have a very busy weekend. We are going to our grandson's soccer game. He is so excited. He told me he is going to play T-ball, take swimming lessons, and show his pony. He is going to do it all. I don't know if mom and dad are agreeing to all of that.  They took his pony to get her feet trimmed last night. He fell asleep going and slept all the time they were there. He woke up after he got home and told mommy he really needed his nap. You never know what he will say or do. We are celebrating our oldest son's birthday Sunday evening with a cookout. His birthday is actually on Monday, but it will work better with everyone schedule. He had a bad asthma attack from people spraying their yards. I hadn't thought about that yet, but I should have remember. I don't use chemicals on ours unless he is going to be gone.
He had the city bus pick him up in front of the house. His bus driver wanted to know what was wrong because he usually walks to K-Mart and catches the bus there. She knew and she told him to call and they would come to get him. He took a breathing treatment and did another one this evening after he got home from school. He probably wouldn't have gone except he had a test today.
The month of March really flew by. I wonder if April is going to go that fast. I hope not. I would like for it to slow down so we can smell the roses as the saying goes. Everybody is always in a hurry. You can slow down a little and get there just as fast I know that.
Some of our guys from the 139th were in Lacklank, Florida for an air show when they had a bad storm go through. The planes weren't damaged nor were they hurt. They were helping take care of others where ever they could. We stayed there  when we took a trip to Florida when our kids were younger.

Quiet Time

I am enjoying some quiet time this evening catching up with reading blogs. I get to enjoy whatever I want to do this evening instead of putting someone elses wishes first.
It is unusal to be waited on for a change and believe me I sometimes like to be pamper a little. Don't we all? We have had such a roller coaster for the weather. I am still fighting the sinus infection so it is good to just rest.
I hope the weather man is right and we are going to get to 65 this weekend. It will be the first weekend that I am going to spend some time outside. I have a sneaking suspicion that I am going to get a sunburn. I will need to get me a hat to wear. I think I will get a straw one that I have seen. They are cute. I can also use it when I go watch my oldest grandson ride his horse this summer.
I would so love to get away for a few days right now even though it is not possible. We will know more after all of the doctor visits that are scheduled. I got to spend some time at the antique mall changing things around and looking at the other booths. My son was spending time with his dad so i had "ME" time which I dearly loved. I don't get to much of that at times, but our son that is home with us now does help me. I am just thankful to know he is here if I need him.
He fixed supper for us last night. He cooked potatoes, carrots, turnips, cabbage, onion and polish susage all together real slow. He calls it a one pot meal and we had hot bisquits to go with it. It was good. He does like to cook. He like  to use spices that I wouldn't have thought about using. I know if he makes chilli. He lets us take ours first and then he adds more spices because he likes the hot spicy food.
Well I am headed back to visit some more of my friends. Take care and have a great week.

Cold But No Snow Yet

We have been lucky this weekend and so far have managed to miss the bad weather. We have had the cold weather with the wind blowing, but other then that we had a little sunshine.

Have you ever been working on a project where you were told how many skeins of thread you needed to find out it was wrong. I have been working on a project and I am only half done using a whole skein of thread. I think it will take three before I get it finished. I hopefully will be able to show you when I get it done.

I just started it yesterday evening.

We went for a drive today to find the Soccer field where our grandson is going to play. I told grandpa he would have to be able to walk. It definitely isn't wheelchair friendly and it is so you can sit in the car and watch very well. He walked every place we went yesterday.

His first game is this next Saturday.

I can't believe that March is almost over. It went so very fast. Speaking of March my friend Shell over at Raspberry Rabbit is having a birthday today. My next picture that I found is for her and wishing her a very Happy Birthday.

I won Sharon's Spring giveaway 2011. I have taken picture, but at the moment, my camera and computer isn't compatible for some reason. We will find out why because I had also taken some other pictures that I wanted to show you. One of the things that I won was a cute bunny rabbit. I will tell you more about my winnings in a later post.

Has anybody had a problem with their computer locking  up right in the middle of what you are doing and the only way you can get out is to completely shut down your computer and lose what you were doing. You see some squiggles or that is what I will call them right before it happens.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend. Yesterday was a little frustrating fighting with the insurance company. They gave us a prior authorization for help with one of my hubby's  high dollar medication and now they say it was for only one month. They , also, said that they didn't have any record of the authorization until I started reading what it said  to them. They change their answer then to our plan changed, but we didn't get anything in writing about the change. 

Must be some more of the new health plan that no one knows what is in it. It definitely is a learning experience that is for sure. I must close tomorrow is another work day. Take care. 

 

Two Packages in one day

     It is unusal that I get two boxes in one day. One came by Ups and the other one by federal express. I got my light box today. I couldn't believe how bright the light was and I am anxious to try it. I got my tracing paper and have spent the evening reading as to how I want to try to do it when I wasn't taking care of my hubby.

     This crazy weather is driving me crazy with one day in the 70's, storms goes through some wind, hail, and rain. Then we only get in the 50's and tonight we go to the 20's.

They are talking about snow.

      We stayed home tonight which was an acception to the rule. Hubby wasn't feeling that good and a problem with his blood sugar. It is so discouraging at times because you never find a happy medium.

     My youngest grandson got to go for a bus ride last night when they went to the kindergarten round up. It doesn't seem like he should be going to  kindergarten in the fall. They have a kindergarten club that he has been going to where it lets them get acquainted with the teachers and other kids. He likes the teachers and they have three.
     Borders book store is closing before long. I will have to find something else to go in the Easter baskets. I normally put a gift card for each of the boys so they can go and pickout a new book. If they choose wisely enough, they can get two.
      Well I think I will see what my friends have been doing before I call it a day. I am hoping I don't end up having to take my hubby to the hospital. Please say a prayer for us tonight. Take care/    

Would you like 70 degree Weather

I just can't believe that we have had another day in the 70's. I will take everyone of them that we can get. It is so nice to be outside in fresh air. I have had the windows opened airing the house out.
I got to see my grandsons over the weekend. I have a soccer schedule to tape to my refrigerator door with the first game the 2nd of April. He is really excited. His new thing is checking how many steps he takes. His mommy is required to wear a little pedometer at work so he was wearing it around the house. He never sits still so his steps should add up in a quick hurry.
It is 8:30 in the evening and we are still at 74 degrees . I hope we stay that way for a few days .
It will feel like Christmas this week. I order a lite box which I am anxiously awaiting to receive. I have some old patterns that can not be stamped any more so I am hoping that I can trace them off and use them
once more.
My table runner and napkin set is done. Just needs to be laundered and pictures taken. I will post the pictures as soon as I get them done. 
I am playing with a test blog using Building Beautiful Blogs. You can order one by clicking on the picture on my blog. I am finding the book to be helpful and really  easy to understand. I have always had someone to design my blog banners and post, now I might be able to do my own. Who knows. Karen does a beautiful job of explaining all of the little gadgets at the top of where you post your blog. I would recommend it if you are looking for a book on blogging.
Well it will be very hectic at work as our truck driver is in the hospital at the moment. So it makes us one short and we are already a small crew. Up and down the stairs, I think I need one of the meters to tell me how many steps I take a day. It would be something of interest.

The Weekend

I am hoping that tomorrow will be another pretty day. We got up to 65 degrees today, which really felt good. I will take every nice day we get and hope for that many more.
I am thankful it is Friday and I have the weekend to maybe get to see my boys. Matt was sick last weekend so we will wait until tomorrow and call before we go to make sure everybody is o.k..
Ethan, my youngest grandson tried roller skating. He said that it was not his sport. He still wants to race cars. He has been helping momma carry out the sheet rock and trash while they are remodeling. He said that he could use his hammer to help. They told him later. I can just seeing him help with the painting and everything else, but who knows he might do better then we think. They are tearing out a closet and opening up the room so they have more room. I will be anxious to see the progress. They have had one of their builder friends check and make sure it is not a load bearing wall. Both sets of parents, us and his said the same thing about that.
 Our oldest grandson is trying to get out of the doghouse. I don't know exactly what he did, but it was something that he shouldn't have. I might find out more about it when I see him. I wish he would play a sport, but he doesn't seem to want to do it. His brother wants to try it all when it comes to sports.

This is a picture of Matt with his grandpa before grandpa got sick this last time. We just keep taking it one day at a time. Today was a problem of trying to regulate the insulin with the blood sugars all over the board. I know that it has something to do with things not working right. We will find out in a couple of weeks if not before. We will see how tomorrow goes.

Beautiful Spring Day

Today we hit 79 degrees and made you think that Spring has really arrived. I know that Monday is officially the first day of Spring, but there is no harm in wanting it here faster.

I know with the beautiful weather we are starting to get busier which definitely makes the day go faster.

I hope every body that celebrates St. Patrick Day has had a safe and happy day. We had our corn beef and cabbage for supper which is a tradition at our house even though my husband is polish. He reminded me of that tonight.

My grandson Matt has his official soccer team shirt and he is no 3 on his team. He has his schedule for us to go watch him play and is anxious. He was so tired last night, but he still wanted to go. They have breakfast at school with mom one week and dad one week at 6:30 A.m. which just happen to be the same day as after school book sale, which he just couldn't miss. He had to check out the books because he needed a few new ones. Then he had soccer ball practice after that. It really made for a full day and he was tired even though he didn't want to admit it.

We are enjoying every nice day that we get.  Our week started off kooky with the snow, which didn't last long at all. Each day has been warmer since. Hopeful we won't have anymore snow at least. We need some rain to wash away some of the dirt off the street.

I found this picture on free .foto.com and it made you wish that it was in your yard. I just don't have a green thumb like my mother did. She could grow everything and even had a Christmas Catus that would bloom all year round. Her African Violets were beautiful.

Snow on Monday Sun on Tuesday

This is what it looked like on Monday morning maybe not quite this much. The drive was pretty to work because of the wet snow that we had. It melted on the streets for which I was happy about. I know you had to be careful on the bridges and overpasses, but other then that the drive was not that bad.
I wanted to tell you that my friend Donna at Brynwood Needlework is having a giveaway celebrating her second year blog birthday. One of the things that she has is her Mug Mats. If you don't have one, then enter her giveaway even if you do have one. The picture is one of the mug mats that you can chose. I have a purple one that she has made, but I would like another. I wanted to wish all of you a Happy St. Pat's Day. I don't know about your menu, but ours always has cornbeef and cabbage with the potatoes, carrots, and soda bread. Of course, some people think that you have to have green beer to make it complete, but I don't. We will have lunch at work, but I don't think it is going to be the cornbeef and cabbage because we have some that don't like it. It is tradition at our house.
I hope that you all have a great week. The snow is all melted tand we got up to 55 degrees today and by Friday we are to hit 72 degrees. It really makes you think that Spring is here. Everybody take care and stay well.

Are You Ready for Spring??

Are you ready for Spring? I know I am sure ready to be able to stop dressing in layers. We had a heat wave today and got up to 54 degrees and tomorrow we are suppose to get to 63 degrees.
I am just thankful that tomorrow is Friday and will have two days off. If it goes like planned I will go see my grandsons on Saturday. We are back on the mend as far as the flu bug goes. My hubby's problem that is a different story. It is something that we will have to learn to live with. It just depends on how well the medications work at the present time. He takes a total of 15 pills a day plus 5 shots of insulin a day. It was so pretty that we went for a drive and stopped for a bite of supper tonight. He said that it felt good just to look at the scenery. We keep adding to the doctors list of appointments , but if we don't go for a second opinion then I will always wonder what it I had only done this. I think we are all bad to a certain point of second guessing ourselves.
I am in the process of outlining the design on my table runner. I didn't think I would like it at first, but the more I get done the better I like it. I hoping to be done in one more night, but it may take me a little longer. I can't work on it if I am driving the car.
The college is on Spring break this next week. It will be nice to come home to a meal already fixed. Our son can cook and does a pretty good job of it. I like it when it is done for me. He looks after mom. I told him just knowing that he is in the house and can help if necessary in an emergency makes me feel better.

Stressful Weekend

My picture reminds me of the road to the farm with the snow on it . I like the changes of the four seasons, but I am getting a little tired of the snow.

We made it home from

 the nursing home to only come down with the flu bug that is going around at the moment.
My hubby was not only sick, but my son, and I all have had it. You really feel rough and hopefully I will feel like going to work tomorrow. I have so much to catch up with not being able to work as much last month.

I worried the most about my hubby with his immune system being out of whack. He may just come down with whatever he comes in contact with. We have been very careful to only take him for a ride in the car. I know before we came home they were having people out because of sickness. I don't know where we got it because we had stayed away from our family so we wouldn't get it. We are suppose to have lousy weather this week starting with rain, freezing rain, and snow again. Just what we need. I could see the rain maybe. It might help wash away all of the germs.



I have got my luck of the Irish table runner half done. I hope to finish it in the next couple of days. It gave me something else to think about other then what was going on at the house. I did manage to get my taxes figured before I got sick. I didn't feel bad until late afternoon. Besides getting my taxes done, I went to K-Mart to pick up a new medication. They told me it was expensive, but I just about died when they told me the co-pay was $350.00. They had only ran it one way and when I ask if they had submitted it to another insurance they said no. Well it finally got down to half, but I hate to see what it will cost when we hit the lovely donut hole again.
I can't wait to see the medal and picture of my youngest grandson with his pinewood derby car. He won second at his mommy's company function on Saturday. He was really proud. It made daddy happy. They had a good time which is important.



My other two grandson"s are getting back to normal after being sick. You can always tell by the way they eat. They all are growing so very fast. Well it is time to go to bed. Have a great week.

Spring is Around the Corner

The snow has just about all melted, but  of course it leaves it nice and muddy. We had a beautiful day with the temperature of 64 degrees. it made you think that Spring is just around the corner.

Of course my grandson is getting anxious because he is going to play soccer. He is so excited and I am looking forward to watching him play.

We  have done fairly well so far since my hubby came home from the nursing home. We just take it one day at a time which is all that anyone can do at the present time. We have doctor appointments schedule to see what we are doing next. With him being confined to the hospital and nursing home, he was anxious to take a car ride anywhere just to see a change of scenery. I have so many friends praying for us and I am praying for them and their love ones. I should start having a little more time free up since I won't have quite as much running to do.

Our son-in -law had surgery today on his arm. He had fallen about six weeks ago on the ice and messed up his arm where his fingers was numb. They said that the surgery went well and he was resting. Of course his son will take good care of daddy being his little nurse. He wanted to go with daddy, but they didn't let him because it would have been to long of a day for him to be quiet.  He is the one that told me that I sounded like I was sick the other evening when I was feeling disappointed that my hubby didn't get to come home originally as we thought. Isn't it amazing what little ones can pick up on?

I have several things that I have done lately that I need to take pictures of to show you. Not enough time, but it will get better that is for sure.

HE'S HOME

I got to bring my hubby home this evening from the nursing home. I was so happy to get him home so that I don't have to keep running. I have to call the doctor's office to find out what the next course of action is going to be and get some prescription refilled. The nurses wanted to keep him which I can understand because he is easy to take care of. I am to take his sugar away from his diet. They don't understand, you can't give apple, orange and etc juices without it raising his blood sugar. I don't think they are to use to dealing with a diabetic.  The doctor ordered home health and I asked why. If we needed that, then was he really ready to come home as they had said. I think it is just one way of milking the insurance. We aren't going to have them come.
I asked him if he was ready to run a race with his grandsons, he said that not quite. It was the pick me upper that I needed.
I got my money back that I thought I had lost. It was found by who had given it to me. He knew who it belonged to by the way it was folded which made me happy. He is such a jewel because he is one that I can talk to when things aren't going good.
We  had a heat wave today and the snow melted really good today. It made it sloppy and muddy, but at least it was better then we have been having that is for sure. You all have a good day.
