Windy Tuesday.

We didn't get blown away today, but the winds was strong. We were lucky to not have the storms that were to the North and East of us. They say we could get some rain tonight, but I hope not.
We had a wonderful weekend with the family. Matt. my birthday boy, was so excited about his party. His cake was a football field with the players in the center. His name was behind one goal post and his age was behind the other goal post. He informed us it was chocolate and vanilla. Mommy used two cake mixes to make it long enough for his football field.
Ethan and Matt were racing a three wheeler, and a four wheeler down the hill. Jake was the official starter. It was so much fun to watch and make me tired just to watch them.
I thought I would show you a picture of Eeyore who is on his way to a new home in Illinois. He is going to a young couple who is expecting a baby girl in December. It made me feel honored to be part of her decor for their little one's room.

I need to take some pictures of what I have been doing lately, but just never seems to be enough hours in a day.
I promise that I am making my way around tonight for a while before I go to bed.
We were gone for a while this evening. We babysat Matt while mommy and daddy had parent teacher conferences. We played tic-tac-toe. Of course, he won. It wouldn't seem right for grandma to win. Hehe.
They have been doing some fencing so that the boys can have their ponies closer to home. It will also make it much easier to take care of them. It has still been nice enough on weekends that they can ride for a while.
We will just take every nice one that we get. Well I really need to try to go to bed and get some sleep. The new med is not really working like it should. I go back to the doctor Friday. All the insurance company needs to do is let me have my med I know that works. You have to do step therapy. I have tried two now, and it is ridiculous.
I will talk to you all later. Have a great day.

Two Days Off

We left work a little early today, which I didn't mind at all. It gave me a chance to go by and check my booth. It hasn't been as profitable this month. I noticed that there is several that are moving out all ready.
You signed a lease for three months to start with and then it is month to month. I would think that you would want to stay until after Christmas, but then some of the booths rent is quite bit more then mine.
I will have a busy weekend with finishing shopping for my grandson Matt's birthday which we will celebrate on Sunday. I needed something else for him so I called his mommy. He told her to tell me that he needed a new sweater.
He got hurt school yesterday playing kickball. He ran into a pole that didn't give. He has a goose egg on his little forehead and his chest hurt a little. It hasn't slow him down anything. His teacher said you knew he was hurt because he never cries, but he did then. He only has two speeds full steam ahead or crash city when he is a sleep.
We get to baby sit him on Tuesday evening when his parents go to brother's parent teacher conference. The new Lego catalog came so I know what him and grandpa will be doing. He will be showing him all of his wish list.
Work has been very busy with having two new houses starting and they are in opposite direction. It makes the day go faster when we are busy like that. One of the guys cooked us each a hamburger on the grill so we had lunch together and then it was off and running the rest of the afternoon.
Our family will all be together. We will also celebrate my son-in-laws birthday because his is the day after Matt's. Matt thinks it is cool that he is sharing his birthday with his uncle.
We may get some rain later this evening, but I don't think it will amount to much. Have a wonderful weekend.

WEEKEND ALMOST GONE

I found this picture when I was surfing in Photo bucket. It is absolutely gorgeous.
Why does the weekend have to fly by in such a hurry especially when the weather is so beautiful. It has been cool in the mornings and warms up beautifully in the afternoon.
It is the kind of weather that you want to stay forever, but you know it is going to change in the near future. It is just the way it is when you have the changing of the seasons. I enjoyed being out in the fresh air today even in my own yard.
The boys came and cut the yard. I don't know if it will be the last time or not. That remains to be seen. We are to have beautiful weather most of the week. We might possible have a little rain on Tuesday. We are suppose to get down in the 30's. I would love to have a good frost and then warm back up. It would so help the allergies.
I have started a new medication again. I hate step therapy which is what the insurance says I have to do before they will let me have the blood pressure medicine back that I know works. At least I got to go off all other medicine until we see if this one will actually going to work or not. We finally got the results of my hubby's lab work. They had a hard time finding it and they ended up not doing it right so parts of the blood work was wrong. They are going to redo it. I just want to know if we can have it done here or if I have to make a trip to the city just for that. It means that I have to talk to the doctor's office on Monday. Always something.
We have seen some beautiful scenery over the weekend. I just wish I could drive and take pictures at the same time. Now that would be a miracle, but I am not stupid enough to try it.
I will just wait another week and maybe I can talk my son in doing the driving and I can take my pictures. He was still recovering from having an asthma attack earlier in the week.
It takes time to recoup after one of them.
Well I hope you all have a beautiful week. I will be coming to visit, but I have just been a little busy. Take care

Beautiful Weekend

We had such a beautiful weekend for our trip to see the fall color. The river bluffs are getting pretty and will be probably even more so this week. It was just enjoyable to be outside enjoying the fresh air. We started off in the upper 40's and ended up in the low 80's.
We went South on Saturday for our tootling and North on Sunday.
Today we have had rain off and on through out the day. It is in the 60's at the moment and has been there practically the whole day.
My youngest grandson has a new thing now. To try to get his way, he wants to bargain. I really don't know where he picked that one up. He is looking forward to his party this weekend. Anymore whenever they are having company. It is a party. I would love to be a mouse to watch all of the kids. There will be seven with the oldest being 11 and the youngest being three. They are close to age and their parents all went to college together. The kids can play and the adults can catch up with what each other has been doing. They didn't have to have a babysitter which I thought was nice.
We won't get to do our annual fall trip to Branson this year. Just to many things going on at the moment. I am not to take anytime off the next couple of weeks. I wasn't planning on it because I have used all of my vacation time up with doctor visits and I can't blame my other half for that. I have seen the doctor more this year then he has which is unusual. I am going to try to get back the bp meds that the insurance company wouldn't pay for. The doctor did give me an alternate if necessary. It is in the same family as the one that I want.
So much for that. It is bed time and tomorrow is another day. Have a good one.

The Weekend

The weekend is suppose to be a beautiful one for being outside in the fresh air. Cool in the morning and warm up nicely in the afternoon. A true fall day and being Homecoming.
I would much sooner go look at the fall color after I see if I get my blood pressure medicine back that we know how it reacts. What the insurance company required you to try was stupid. I told my doctor if we are going to try new medicine I only wanted it 30 days at a time instead of the ninety day.
I am to work on that and forget the other issues for the time being so we shall see.
We went to see our older two grandsons last night. We hadn't seen them for a while. My Matt had to tell us how he caught grandpa mule with the corn bucket. He let him stick his head in the bucket without reaching the corn. He walked backwards through the gate and a circle until he got back to the gate. He quickly got through the gate shutting it after himself. It was so cute how he told us. I can really see a difference in him since he started to Kindergarten. They both have to go to bed early because they catch the bus before 7 o"clock.
Jacob was showing us the Christmas ornaments that he cut out. I asked him if he was going to sell some of them and all I have gotten is a long drawn out Maybe. I told him I would take some to the craft show and put it in my booth. I will just have to wait and see.
My youngest one was going to the pumpkin fest. They had 10 rows of pumpkins that were carved and going to have a lighting ceremony. They will have the parade tomorrow for the kids in their costumes.
This month is absolutely flying and I don't know where it is going. We will celebrate our 47Th anniversary the 19Th of this month. When we celebrated our 40Th, we didn't think the way things were going with hubby's health we would make it this far. We did a lot of gambling with new meds and had a lot of people praying for him to help us get this far. Of course, thanks to our doctor, who has been there with us from day one when he was so sick in and out of the hospital every month. Very Very stressful. We just take every day we are given and enjoy our tootling as I call it. It is the most fun because we have no particular destination in mind when we take off. We just pick the direction. Tomorrow I think we will go see the River Bluffs toward the South because they should be getting quite a little color.
Well it is getting late so I better close for today. Have a great weekend and I hope you have beautiful weather where ever you are.

A Pretty Tuesday

I thought this was a neat old truck. They thought at work it was either a model A or model T. They weren't for sure. We were just out for our drive when we saw it and I took a picture.
I thought I would show you a couple of my tea towels. My pictures aren't doing them justice that is for sure. I sold a tea towel at my antique mall which it has taken just about the time element I thought it would. It is rather hard because you are competing against so many that has been bought at an estate sale or auction. I thought about making me a sign to say all items are hand embroidered by Shirleystitches. I need to do something to let them know that I do them myself.

The spots are done so that you can run your fingers over them and they feel like they are raised up. I just thought they were cute. The tea towel is a little different with the stripes and a solid corner in each of the four corners. It just shows you some of the things that I have been doing lately.

The doll was done by my niece's aunt. I thought she was really neat. She does some real neat things and I just thought I would show you one. She looks darling in their bridal gown.
We have been having some beautiful weather. It has been cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. The leaves are starting to turn.
This weekend is our college's homecoming. I don't know if we will go and watch or not. The kids all graduated from there. I know that we have been selling some lumber to kids building floats for the weekend.
Hope you all have a beautiful day.

BEAUTIFUL FALL DAY.

The fall color is starting to show in our area. Today we started off at 34 degrees and have warmed up to 54 degrees at the moment. We are only suppose to get up to the 60's which will be all right.
We had frost on the back window of the car this morning. When we have the good frost then it will help the people with all of the allergies.
We went to Jamesport, Missouri to find some towels that I was looking for . The owner of the shop can get them for me, ship them, and made me a wonderful price. It was well worth the trip.
The drive lets us see some fall color , we came home a new route, so we got to see some country side that we hadn't seen before. As long as we have plenty of gas, I am not afraid to try a different highway as long as I know where we are suppose to end up.
My son and his family should be on the way home from being in Branson, Missouri. They were going to spend Friday at Silver Dollar City. They left Thursday afternoon after their oldest got out of school. Of course, they had to call and tell us that they were eating supper at Lammert's south of Springfield. It is one our favorite places to eat when we go that way.
I have been busy working on my towels for the craft show. I haven't got my pictures taken yet. I just hope people like them.
Have a great Sunday. We may take another drive today if it isn't to late when the laundry gets done. I am washing winter coats right at the moment so we will have them when it is time all nice and clean. Take care.

Where Has the month Gone

I really don't know where this month has gone, but we only have two days left. We took a drive on Sunday. There was some color starting, but it is just a wee bit early I think.
We have been having cool mornings where you need a light jacket or sweater in the morning and the afternoons warm up to where you can go without.
I love the fall of the year and it is my favorite time of the year to travel. I don't think we will get to take a trip, but just some short drives. We went to see the sunflower fields a couple of weeks ago, but it was a disappointment. The flowers were drooped down so there was no fields of bright yellow color that we have seen in the past. I don't know if the weather had something to do with it or if we were to early when we took our drive. We enjoy those trips of just getting into the car with no destination in mind. We just pick a direction, but the weather hasn't cooperated here lately with the rains and storms. When we do go our kids are always asking how many states did we see today.
They say that we are suppose to have a great weekend so I will have to wait and see what it brings. I have come to the conclusion that I don't make any plans, but just decide on the spur of the moment. It is always so much more fun that way.
I must close. You all have a great day.

THE WEEKEND

Today was absolutely beautiful after a rainy, stormy night. We started off at 54 degrees warming up to a nice 75 degrees. It made it nice in that respect for the drive to the city to see the cardiologist. Everything was fine and we don't have to go back for a year unless we have a problem. They don't schedule them that far out. Although some doctors do.
Other then having people pull out in front of you, it wasn't that bad of a drive. It would be a nice night for a football game.
I worked part of the day before we went to the city. I had to put together some statements for some customers who wanted them early. Maybe that means we will get paid earlier. We have been busy which is a good thing.
I thought I would show you a picture of my grandson taken when he was about three. The race car that he is in was his daddy's that he refinished to give you an idea of his painting ability. Our Hallmark store has used his race car in a window display here.
I think the picture is a couple of years ago. My daughter used it as the header for his birthday invitation. He is still really Blondie and such a little character. If you don't want an answer, then don't asked him because he will definitely tell you. They went to the South side Festival where he got to ride the ponies like Matt's, the camel and had lots of fun. He went to the parade on Saturday morning where the highlight was the candy and the horses.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Ours will start cool in the mornings and warm up to be a really nice in the afternoons to be outside enjoying the fresh air. Might even get so we can turn the AC off for a while that would be nice. Take care.

Stormy Weather

We made it home before the heaviest rain hit, but the lightening and dark looking clouds were very visible. I told my husband to watch the clouds and I was going to put the petal to the metal. I set my cruise as fast as I thought I could get away with without getting a speeding ticket. I was glad that there wasn't a lot of traffic.
Our boy had just got home from work at the same time we pulled into the driveway. We hurriedly carried things in out of the car without getting really soaked. The thunder and lightening is still carrying on and the Platte River was running bank full as we crossed it. There will be some flooding, just don't know how much.
We are suppose to drop down into the 50's tonight. The weather all over the United States has been so crazy. I just finished a new project and have it ready to take the picture to show you. I will be anxious for your input as to what you think of it.
The month is almost gone and I don't know really where it has gone. The trees are showing a little color nothing like what other areas have.
The street I normally come home on was closed tonight so I followed the vehicle in front of me hoping that they could show me how to go around it. I found streets that I never knew existed, but I made it home. Afterwards I thought I was a little dumb, but there were other cars behind me so we were all going to be in trouble if the one in front wasn't going where we wanted to go.
I was a little sick after I went to see my booth Saturday. I had an antique car whiskey decanter for sale. I thought at first I had sold it, but unfortunately somehow it got broke. Whoever did it hit it on the bottom shelf where it wouldn't be seen unless you were really looking for it. I thought at first maybe we could fix it, but there are pieces missing. It was my first experience of putting breakables in my booth and I don't think that I will do it again. Well enough rambling for one evening. I want to read a few blogs and then I will need to get to bed. Have a great day.

My Latest Quilt

This will give you an idea of of my latest quilt that I just finished. I am happy the way it turned out if I could only take better pictures. It was fun seeing each square come alive.
We have had a quiet evening tonight instead of doing the usual running. I just wasn't feeling quite up to par. Our son went to meet his sister and her family at the South side festival which started today. It isn't really wheelchair friendly if you get off the sidewalk. They will have a parade in the morning. It will continue through Sunday.
I don't know what my weekend will bring, whether it will be quiet or just what. If the weather is nice, we may just go with nowhere really in mind. Those are the best kind of things to do for sure.
We will be making a trip down to see the heart doctor next Friday. It is hubby's annual checkup. We have been very lucky in that respect.
It was really busy today at work. We were short handed and it turned off to be a really nice day. We started in the 50's and warmed up to 80, but it didn't seem that bad. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I need to go decide what my next project is going to be. Probably tea towels or I have a Lightin McQueen pillowcase to do or I should say two of those for part of two little boys Christmas present.

STORMY WEATHER AGAIN

We made it home before the worse of the storm hit last night, but the lightening put on quite a show as we were driving home. I had gone to the city to get my car back. The repair was covered by warranty. I had a flex fuel car to drive while mine was being fixed. I wasn't to impressed with the gas mileage I got with it. It didn't get near the gas mileage that my car does.
We got over two inches of rain in a very short period of time. It looked like it was raining in sheets. I was home about a half hour before the worse of it hit.
I got a picture of the boys 1st day of school. I will have to scan it so that I can down load it to the computer. I am getting an education that is for sure. They are doing things that we never did as having separate teachers for P.E., Music, and their teacher. We always just had the one, but then that was a long time ago.
I was really thankful it wasn't to hot when we lost our electricity. We were luckier then some with only being off for a little over a hour. They sais that they had a equipment failure. I don't know what really happened. We haven't cooled down very good this evening yet. I know in some areas it was foggy this morning when I went to work. I have to pick my route so that I don't have a problem with school buses. If I get behind them, I will be late to work for sure.
Our day wasn't exactly as planned because of the rain. We couldn't get into a couple of job sites because it was to muddy. They were going to get a tractor and wagon to see if we could transfer the load to it. I would have loved to be a mouse and watched. I don't know where the month is going, but it is really flying fast. Before we know it, it will be Christmas. One of the blogs I was reading they are already doing a countdown to Christmas. I know Hobby Lobby starts putting out Christmas in July.
Well you all have a wonderful day.

QUIET TIME

My weekend hasn't gone as I planned, but it hasn't been that bad. I took my car in for service which I figured wouldn't take that long, but when they were changing the oil they found a transmission leak. Long story short, they ended up keeping my car and gave me a rental to drive. Their transmission man will look at it Monday. It maybe something minor, but it is better to be safe then get stranded along the highway with a problem.
I needed to get home and go pick up meds for my hubby. Well while we were at Sam's, the electricity went off. We were lucky because we had paid for his meds and headed toward the door. All the computers went down. The fun part was getting home because all of the traffic lights quit working causing a traffic jamb. We had no electricity here at home either. I needed gas for the rental car so I had to go see what I could find. We found traffic lights working in the area of Highway 36 and Riverside Road. I knew there was a gas station there and stopped. We went to Cameron, Missouri for dinner and when we got home we had gotten the lights back.
Today has been quiet. We went to see my son and his family. We hadn't seen the boys for a few days. They look like they have grown each time we see them. My oldest grandson is shooting up that is for sure. He has outgrown the shoes that mom bought in June. His jeans are getting to short in the legs. He told me about running the mile and half mile at school in track. I got educated how to play germ ball which is similar to Dodge Ball by Matt. He had been to a birthday party on Saturday. I got told all about that.
I have just about got my quilt finished which I hope will be this week. I put one of my kitty kats in the mail yesterday to its new home in California. I think I am going to try to do the craft show in November at my grandson's school. It benefits the school. He wants me to do it. He said that he would help me. I got to see the wooden puzzles that my oldest grandson had made. I tried to talk him into selling them to help pay for minutes on his cell phone, but I haven't succeeded in doing that yet.
Our weather has been cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon which is definitely like fall. Our leaves haven't starting turning as of yet, but we did see some picking corn. Some corn looks ready and we have even seen some bean fields that look ready. Well I am off to see what my friends are doing here in blog land. Have a great week.

My Friend's 500th blog post

My friend Donna at Brynwood Needleworks is having a wonderful giveaway. She is such a talented lady with her knitting, sewing, quilting, just to mention a few of the many things that she does. She has been an inspiration to me and makes me want to do things better.
You can ask questions and she is more then happy to help you if she can. Her friendship has meant a great deal to me and I enjoy reading her blog. Drop over to see her, she loves visitors as we all do.
To change the subject a little, one more day and then it is the weekend. I look forward to a couple of days off to have a little "me" time which is hard to do. I want to check out a quilt shop that I have heard about and they are only open on Saturday. I tried to go on Sunday to find out they are closed. I want to see what their shop is like and what kind of things that they carry.
We are in the 60's this evening with a fine mist at the present. We will have to wait and see what tomorrow will bring. Have a wonderful weekend.

Crazy Weather

We have had some of the craziest weather. You don't know whether you want to dress for cool or warm weather. We have been starting our days in the 50's and sometime we reach in the low 80's. I thought it was to early to wear layers, but that is the only way you can deal with the crazy weather.
My heart goes out to those that have been having all of the heavy rain and flooding in Texas because of the Hurricane's. I saw that Dallas had a tornado. I think about the family that we have that lives in Texas.
They keep saying the rain is coming our way, but who really knows what direction it is going to go.
My followers are growing and I appreciate each and everyone of you who read my blog. I love comments because that is my way of traveling to places that I would not get to go. I have met so many wonderful Friends through blog land for which I am thrilled for each of you. I just don't get to spend quite as much time as I would like to visit each and everyone of you, but I try to spend sometime visiting each day for a while.
It gives me something else to think about besides what is going on in my life. As most of you know I have allergies, and the weather has really caused them to flare up to where you feel miserable. My eyes water and you would say I was crying, but not really. Finding medicine that works with the other medicine that I take is a challenge. I don't want to take shots because I don't know how they will react.

All of the boys are now going to school. My youngest started back to preschool this week. He was so ready to go. When you would talk about it, he would say that he was going tomorrow. Well that tomorrow has started and there was no problems getting him up and around for school.
They are so much fun to listen to them talk about what they are learning.
I thought I would show you another one of my tea towels. I have one block left on the lap quilt I am working on. It is made up of twelve different blocks and has been enjoyable. My husband can't understand how I can work it without looking at the pattern. The pattern is repeated through out the block, that makes it easy. You all have a great day.

A BEAUTIFUL DAY

We had an absolutely gorgeous day with the temperature starting at 48 degrees and warming up to 76 degrees this afternoon. It is definitely a sign that fall is in the air.
We did some tootling as I call it since it was a beautiful day. We left with no real destination in mind just going to wherever. As we cut across the countryside, it reminded you some of a roller coaster going uphill and down with the curves thrown in. Of course this is two lane highways because you can drive a little slower and enjoy the countryside. Some area look like it is almost harvest time with the corn getting brown. Some have already made theirs into silage because it wasn't going to be good for anything else. I can remember when my dad did that. Growing up on the farm gave you a lot of enjoyment that you don't get in the city or at least I think so. You could set on the front porch without worrying about the neighbors being that close to you. I would love to live back in the country for that reason.
We have talked about making the drive to see the fields of sunflowers in bloom. They should be awesome looking now with all of the color. We may just do that tomorrow, but we will wait and see what tomorrow brings. I never want to plan my days to far ahead as they never go like you plan. We like making a decision on the fly to do whatever.
I just want a couple more nice days like today. They say that rain is back in for Tuesday of next week. Just what we need more of right at the moment.
They had lines waiting to check out at the mall this afternoon when I was there. I did some rearranging and looking to see what I was going to do next. I need to do some more embroidery work and get a package ready for shipping on Tuesday. It was a good day at my etsy shop.
You all have a wonderful day and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Another Rainy Day

We were lucky and didn't get the really bad wind that some areas got. My heart and prayers goes out to those of you that could possible be in the way of Hurricane Earl. My niece and her husband were going to be in DC on vacation. I am hoping that they cut their vacation short and head bad toward home. I have been watching it on the news.
Today we spent the day in the city with doctor appointment and the service engine soon light came on my car so I went by the dealership where I bought my car before I came home. It was some type of a sensor which was covered by warranty for which I am thankful.
The doctor didn't change any medicine. We will just keep plugging away as I like to call it. It can be stressful at times with things not going right. We will go back down this next month and see our primary care doctor to see what suggestions he has to offer.
I will work tomorrow then have a three day weekend. I am ready to do a little sleeping late hopefully. I don't know about you but I still wake up at the same time the alarm goes off even though I don't set it. My youngest grandson was excited because he was going to go to meet his pre-school teacher and see his room. His mommy starts her teaching at the college tomorrow. She is lucky that her job allows her to teach the labs for some engineering classes. It also helps their company to find interns for the summer that just might turn into full time employees later. She teaches them on the job training rather then out of the book. They will take field trips, try their hand at physically doing the test that they are talking about.
One of her instructors that helped her find her job, got her to teach his labs for him, and it has continued.
It is going to get down in the 50's tonight. We had rain while we were in the city, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. We only got to 74 today which wasn't really bad for a change. I rather enjoyed it.
You all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. If you travel, have a safe journey. Take care

Where Did August Go

I really don't know where the month has gone, but it sure did fly. I am so ready for fall and hope we have some cooler weather.
The front is heading in our direction and we are going to get hit here in a little while with strong wind, rain, possible hail and I don't know what else. It just started
you can hear the rain and wind.
We had a meeting at our antique mall. So far it has been good. I haven't sold a lot, but it will take a little time. They wanted to go over a few things and have us look over their sheets as to what they had us selling. to see if there were errors.
I am going to have to cut this short. The lightening is getting to close and I need to get off the computer. Have a great day.

My booth Update

All of the booth's in the antique mall have been rented now. It took one week after they opened to finished the job. I thought I would show what it looks like at this moment. It is still a work in progress and I have been doing some more, but my other half is taking some of my time that I would love to have for me.
Today my allergies have been given me fits to the point of having an ear ache. If I take the medicine, then all I want to do is sleep, so I will wait until bedtime.
I am having a lazy afternoon to do what I want for a change. I have did a little this and that. I have a load of laundry in at the moment.
We will probably go see our waitress that we like for a late afternoon lunch. She is off to college and her classes start Monday. I will probably need to allow myself a little more time with all schools now being in session.
We went to our grandson's exhibition to see how his riding lessons had to progress. His horse Charlie did not want to cooperate even to the point of trying to buck him off. You have to give him credit because he did stay on got him under control and even straighten his hat. I really thought he was going off.
Matt, my kindergartner told me all about the bus and what he had for his hot lunch. He had to catch me up on the latest and his bus gets home before brothers which he thought was great.

The two pictures of my kitty cat tea towels, that I thought were really cute. I had fun making them I know that for sure. I don't think I am going to do a border as they have a Perle edge on them. I have to decide if I am going to list them on etsy or if I am going to put them in my booth.
Etsy has changed the looks our shop, plus added sales tax to it. The question is who's sales tax are they wanting you to collect. I am needing to talk to my tax person about it.
Have you noticed how many more taxes they want to charge you? They think taxes are the answer to everything, but if they would stop giving the money away and live within their means they might be surprising what they can do.

Cooler Weather

The weather has turned off cooler after the storm came through last Friday. We started our day at 53 degrees this morning and it reached 80 degrees this afternoon. We are suppose to get back down in the 50's tonight.
I promised some pictures and I thought I would show you the oldest two on their ponies. Jake, the oldest has his exhibition tomorrow night to show us what he learn in his riding lessons this summer. I don't want to believe that he is in junior high already, the sixth grade. Matt started to kindergarten and he was so excited big yellow bus. The next picture is of Ethan and his cousin's and friends at his birthday party. It had a construction theme and they had a lot of fun. It was fun to watch them pin the tail on the donkey, play musical chairs. They are all just about the same age and they did play good together.
Matt is on the inner tube at the lake. He had a blast . He told me it was so cool and he wants to do it again. Both he and Jake tried it. Of course, they were taken slow with them just learning. They want to go back to the lake. It is something new.
The last picture is a bowl that my daughter-in -law made in her woodworking. I thought that it was cool. She went to a class where she made a set of 5 baskets that fit into one. The sizes were really neat. She gave the smallest as a wedding present and put a gift card in it. The gift card fit just perfect so you know how small the smallest one was.

Maybe after school really gets started she will have some me time for herself. The woodworking guild that they belong to makes toys and jewelry boxes for the Lion's Club to give to kids at Christmas. She said that they needed to get started.

I have some new tea towels done, but I will show you at a later date. I hope you have a wonderful day.
