Rain, Beautiful Rain

The clouds were there over the weekend and it was beautiful. In the low 70's, a good day to spend some time outside in the fresh air. So enjoyable. Today the much needed rain came and the temperature has been in the 60's. It is not that bad out, but you will get wet. It hasn't been a down pour, but just an easy rain a little harder at times, but we will take it. We are so dry.

Of course, the wrecks are always there and we have had several of those  the last few days closing down the interstate for a while. I don't know if they aren't paying attention or just following to close. I just know that you never know when you leave the house what the day will bring.

Doesn't my grandson look ornery? I don't know who was picking on him, but he was going to box somebody from looking at the picture. They had a gentleman come to school to teach them self defense this summer. Of course, they all had to try it.

He was visiting his other grandfather yesterday. He decided to walk with us around the parking lot while momma talked to her dad. He asked Hubby how long he had been at the nursing home. We are into the 9th month and still not walking. They took away part of the physical therapy and they are suppose to walk him upstairs. We both know that is not going to happen. I keep praying for a miracle. I just know I can't do what I use to do for him.

I had a peaceful weekend and enjoyed being outside. I slept a little later then usual. School is getting closer to starting. I will be a little lost at first from spending time with my oldest grandson. I have enjoyed  getting to do things that I don't normally do.

I hope you all are having a good week. Take care

IT'S MONDAY

Where did the weekend go? Did you think that it flew by too or is it just me because I am getting older? It had been so hot during the week, but Saturday didn't turn out to bad. It was cloudy and we had a couple of showers during the day basically enough to settle the dust.

The horse show was so long. They had 51 horses. When you have 21 in one class, it really makes it rough to decide winners. It started at 8 in the morning and was still going on when I left, but the boys had finished their last events. I thought Matt and Cleo were both going to go to sleep. We sang Happy Birthday to his momma with it being her birthday. We had canopy tents to sit under to keep the sun off of us. It was a fun day for me sitting their listening to the talk.

Matt collects girls all ages. The littlest being 16 months and the oldest being older then I. They all look after him and still talk about him getting thrown. He was standing up in his saddle when mom caught him. His horse was just standing there letting him do it. She is a good horse. There is just times when he wants her to do things that she doesn't want to do. I think we are all like that.

I had supper at my son's last night to celebrate my dil birthday. We had steaks on the grill, pasta salad, relishes, corn on the cob, and chocolate cake for dessert. It was yummy. I came home around 9 so the boys could get to bed. Matt goes with mom so they have to go early. They have summer hours where she works so they aren't in the heat late afternoon.

I am going to get my oldest grandson and he is going to help me again today. His payment is lunch and he does like to eat. I spoil them because I like to go to some place they wait on you instead of fast food.

Are your school supplies list long if you have children in school? High school depends on what classes you are taking and then the other fee's. They are all starting on my birthday so that will be easy to remember.

Well I need to get going. Have a wonderful day.

Where is the Time going.

The month is half gone already and it seems as though it only started yesterday.  The kids only have roughly a month before school starts again. Is it just because we are getting older that the time goes so much faster? They aren't that anxious to start, but in reality I think they are going to be ready to go. They will get to see their friends that they don't see that much during the summer.

I am wanting it to be cooler for the weekend while I watch two boys ride. They tried on their white shirts to see if they could still wear them and they can.  I asked why they require them to wear white shirts because  they never stay that way. They say wearing them puts everybody on a level playing field. I hadn't really thought about it that way.

They did their community project on Sunday afternoon. They painted pictures on the walls of the horse barn where the handicap kids ride. The floor is made of ground tires so that if they fall off they won't get hurt as bad like they put on playgrounds.  One picture by the time they got done, it turned into a butterfly. They got to catch the horses in the pasture and bring them up because camp started the next morning. They all had fun doing it.

I  don't usually take afternoon naps, but I took one for about a hour after I took my grandson home.  I had  a nice comfy place to sit and the next thing I knew the program on tv  had changed and I didn't see any of it.

I hope you all have an enjoyable rest of the week. Try to stay cool.

Question

Has Google Reader made a new appearance to your blog? When I first opened mine, it appeared that way, but I thought it might be my imagination. Was your day a hot one today? Ours started off not to bad, but that soon changed. Do you have a remedy for an ear ache? Is there a simple fix? or do I have to make a trip to the doctor's office. I really don't want to do that with having  an appointment in about a month. I have three trips next month to the eye doctor, primary doctor, and to get that lovely mammogram done. I know you have to do it, but I just wish they would find a new way so they didn't hurt afterwards.

The weekend was rather quiet. I got my car serviced and spent time at the Nursing Home with hubby. I got a wake up call today from Louisiana. We talked until my cell phone battery was almost dead. It kept telling me it was a low battery. He is working such crazy hours. He had to be to work at 11:00 P.M. tonight, but he likes the variation of the job. He doesn't do the same thing all the time.  I told him to call us so we don't wake him up. He had to make the choice to watch the fireworks or go to bed because of having to be to work early the next morning. Needless to say, he didn't watch any  fireworks. I heard them last night late. They woke me up. The Mustang team made up from college teams finally won in 14 innings 2-1. They always do fireworks after home games.

The boys are doing their 4H community service project this afternoon. They were going to the Broken Bow where they work with handicap children. They always have a horse show where those kids can come and participate. They need people to lead horses, walk along side of the rider, and etc.

The fingers have been busy embroidering on a custom order that I got. I always try to get them done as soon as possible.

I have really enjoyed the trip pictures that those of you have posted. It is going to be my way of traveling this summer for sure. I appreciate your sharing them with us. You have visited some wonderful places that I can only dream about.  Hope you all have a wonderful week. Take care

This and That

Sun going down with a nice breeze while sitting at the 6th of July Cancer Benefit. It was a beautiful day, warm, but not to hot. The kids had a lot of fun even with its scary moments. They all had a little dare devil in them at one time or another.
I know I enjoyed the day with the weather cooperating that was the best part.

Some areas have had some rain, just depending on where you live what you got. They had a nice shower around us, but I got nothing at the house. The picture of grass is what you get when you let one play with your camera. He thought it was cool and it kept him quiet. He had his first lesson last night back on his horse after she had thrown him off on Saturday. It went well and then big brother got on her and rode her some more. He is not scared at all, just his pride was hurt because he didn't want people see him cry. I liked the picture too.

I got my orange blossoms and butterflies table topper done. It was fun to make and kept me busy. I used my daughters table to put it on. She can seat 12 around the table when we are all there. We used the table  the 4th of July and ate together.

My hands have been busy to keep them from getting stiff. It is different after working for so many years. All of my stitching gives me something else to think about. You never know what life will hand you, but you just roll with the punches and deal with it.

My cow brings out the farm girl in me. We were talking about farm machinery at the nursing home and the prices of new today would give you a heart attack. They would need to farm a lot of ground just to make a payment. You take a big gamble that your crops will be good.

I hope you all have a good weekend. Mine is going to be on the quiet side doing whatever I want to do. I know one thing on the agenda is getting my car service, but other then that who knows. Today is being spent resting after not feeling good. Don't know if it was the heat or something I ate. Anyway I am feeling better. Take care

Scary Excitement

I had a busy weekend and turned a little scary..Matt got thrown off Cleo Thankful that he is only sore and nothing broken. He had got her to lope earlier and he was going to try it one more time only she didn't want to and you can see him going off.
Your heart stops when you watch your little one go flying through the air and land. Then you wonder will he get up or is he hurt and how bad. He had everyone praying that he would be o.k.
We had a nurse and an EMT at the show which was all games, who was out in the arena checking him out along with mom and dad. When he stood up, he gave everyone a wave to let them know he was o.k. His pride was hurt and he didn't want to cry. His little friend wanted to be in the arena and her parents had to hold her back. She would bring him popsickles and check on him that he was all right. He set for a while with grandma and I let him take pictures with my camera. I have pictures that I don't know who they are, but he does. It kept him quiet for a while which is what we wanted.
The picture was taken by M A  Donaldson, who was taking pictures all day long. He was trying his hardest to get Cleo stopped, but his little arms were not long enough to reach where he needed to. When they said it was time to do rings later in the afternoon, he was off to ride again. He wasn't allowed to do any games where he had to lean down and pick something up because they didn't wanting him to fall again. Brother took over riding Cleo and Matt went to riding Fergie. She was satisfied to walk and maybe trot, but nothing fast with him. He did get 5th in egg and Spoon, and brother got third which was o.k.
It was a cancer benefit for one of our own. I knew she had breast cancer, but she, also has liver cancer for which she was taking chemo, when they discovered the other. She will have surgery later this month. She was so surprised that people would do that for her and we had a good turnout.
This is Fergie, who is very gentle depending on the rider. Cleo is usually that way, but for some reason she was going to do things her way. Big brother made her work all afternoon, running and etc. At least he is back on a horse. He has lessons this week so we will see how he does. Every body was scared for him. When he stood, they all clapped and different ones stopped by to see him.
My youngest grandson played  in a baseball tournament and they won 2nd. Their team was the only one that scored a few points against the team that won.The team that beat them was  from a small town and had been playing together for 4 years. They don't have anything else to do. It showed them what they could do with practice. I didn't get to watch yesterday it was just to hot and no shade. They played in the heat of the day.
Hope you all have a good week. Stay cool.

ARE YOU READY FOR THE 4TH?????

Last night was the 4th of July show  and cookout at the nursing home. They had the celebration for the patients, family and friends. It was a fun evening. They had hot dogs, potato chips, root beer floats, lemonade, tea, just to name a few of the things that they did for them. They had the firework display and made sure that their patients  were all comfortable watching the show. Getting them blankets, if they needed them. They had entertainment for them while we waited for the fireworks to start. There was a dunkin tank and that seem to be the favorite thing of the evening especially when the head of nursing was there. She did get dunked, but they took it all in stride, which made it enjoyable.
I know that I have another family 4th of July celebration. I am to show up at my daughter's house after I leave the nursing home. The boys are excited  to shoot off fireworks.
The auction is over and the place is so empty. They made a mess in what use to be my office which was totally uncalled for, but at least they are going to bring in the paper shredding truck with so much to be destroyed.
I just wanted to let you know that I am still here. My 14 year old grandson has been helping me the last couple of weeks. He is very good help and that way it gives him something to do. His payment is lunch which is o.k. because I enjoy the time spent with him. This weekend, I will be going to a horse show that benefits cancer. I can't wait to take pictures of everyone in their pink shirts, then we will have a supper that night at a very reasonable price to finish off the evening. Fun time. Have a great safe 4th of July.

Crazy Weather Weekend

Saturday was hotter then the devil at the horse show. His dad got to hot on Saturday so he didn't get to go on Sunday. It was a weird day with it being cold, raining day, until late in the day. I wore a sweater, got wet, and didn't stay to watch Matt and Cleo get his reserve high point. She beat him in the races because her horse would run and Cleo wouldn't go that fast with him on. She takes very good care of him that is for sure.
The classes were big on Saturday and Sunday only the 4H kids could show. My oldest grandson  got soaked. He didn't have a dry stitch of clothes on when I took him home. It was 69 when I left with it raining. He was chilling and I knew if  I didn't get out of it I wouldn't be walking that good. The bones hurt and get stiff when it is that kind of weather. They had them showing in the rain which I didn't think was good. They did decide to postpone it for a while when there was lightning in the area. If you ride, have you ever rode bareback in the rain with the horse wet. Jake's horse wasn't liking the weather. The only reason Matt was dry was momma had him in the truck and his horse was in the trailer. They didn't have small size shirts so his looks like he has his night shirt on.
They have a show again this Sunday. It is starting earlier. I hope it isn't to extremely hot, but will have to wait and see. She was going to take them a change of clothes after that happened.
I found that I have a screw in my front tire so I will have to get it fixed in the morning. At least it is not in the sidewall so should be able to fix it easier. I just had to reorganize some of the things that I was going to do.
We had quite a storm in the area yesterday. We were on the southern edge, but one small town had a tornado near it another had  no electricity, and I saw some tree limbs down, but nothing on the highway. I waited till I thought it cleared the area before I left. I was have to send more information on my other half, or he wasn't going to qualify for help so I had to make trips to the banks and credit union getting them to give me something stating that he was not on the account or that it was closed.Today when I checked on the status, the letter telling me that he wasn't going to get help was voided and he would still get his help.I wonder if I will get a letter telling me that. I didn't get the one that they sent supposedly requesting more information I know I was so mad that I cried when I talked to them on Friday afternoon after I received the letter. When I get really mad, I always cry.
His little friend two doors down at the nursing home that use to always be embroidering passed away. They would talk and part of the time eat meals together. I would show her what I was working on and she would show me what she was working on. I watched her going down hill. They told me she was getting better. I wonder who they were looking at because it didn't look that way to me. They tell me I should work in that field. No, because I would not put up with some of the stuff that I have seen.
If it is hot in your area, try to stay cool. Have a good rest of the week.

HOT TODAY

Jake doing the grand entry on Fergie with two others. His horse is so gentle and didn't care at all that he had the flag. He kept losing his hat. There was just strong enough breeze when he loped that it would come off.  He didn't put enough stuff in the head band to make it tight enough. They did a wonderful job, but I could never get a picture of all three. I will be getting pictures from my son, because his is much better then grandma's. It was very hot and humid. I lasted maybe 2 1/2 hours, but I wanted to go tomorrow. The classes were big and lasted forever to judge them.
Cleo is wearing Matt's hat. He was standing behind me with his horse waiting on his event that brothers went against each other. There was 14 horses and they were competing against more experience with how they did their age brackets. The more experience one's were the winners. Tomorrow will be different because it is only 4H kids competing. He was helping grandma drink her water and big brother was making sure that my glass stayed full. They didn't want me sick.
Matt showed brothers horse in halter and he did get third. I was amazed, but the class was better age wise. They were closer in age. I wanted a picture of him.
They were having the auction where I use to work today. I went down long enough to box up some file cabinets that they were going to sale. I had very mixed emotions on that one. It would be hotter there because you would have buildings blocking what breeze there were. I didn't want to be there.

Pictures were taken to up to grandpa and more pictures will be taken tomorrow.

What do you think of the Pink Car. They definitely can see him coming. He uses it to promote cancer awareness for people to help raise money. We are having a horse show where they are wearing pink t-shirts to support the cause. One of our members has cancer.
Well I need to call it a day so that I can go tomorrow. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

Rain go Away

The boys got one show almost in last Saturday before it started to rain. It rained hard enough that the Sunday show got postponed until this Sunday so they will have back to back shows. Saturday is a big one for my oldest grandson because he is doing grand entry carrying the American Flag with two others, one carrying the state flag, and the other carrying the club flag. He has been helping me this week clean out an office. It is my old office where I use to work. I have some things that I want to keep because of memories. Twenty two years to be exact. I don't want to be there when they auction off what is left. It just makes me sad to see it go.
I did a craft show this past weekend so I didn't get to see the boys ride. I had mixed emotions that day for sure. I wanted to be in two places at once. It was the first time doing it and I will do it again. I know what type of embroidery I want done for it. The hands really have to  be busy lately. It keeps my mind occupied with other things instead of what is happening.
They took the legs off of my hubby's wheelchair thinking that it would help him to strengthen his legs. They want him to try to move his wheelchair using his legs. I am hoping it will help, but you really don't know what it will do. We had our doctor appointment this past Friday. He told hubby no knee replacement surgery, then hubby thought then a brace might help, he told him that could cause an open wound if the brace wasn't put on properly. You would be trusting other people to do it which the doctor didn't think would be a good idea. He did give him another cortisone shot in the knee. I ate supper with him since I had not been up to see him the night before. It was to late after I got through what we were doing and took my grandson home.
I think I am going to cut this a little short. I just wanted you to know I am still here, just have several things going on right now. I have been stopping by, but I haven't been  very good at leaving messages right at the moment. I will be back later. . Have a wonderful rest of the week.

Different Weekend

I needed a bouquet of flowers after the day on Friday. It was so stressful in more ways then one. I was so stress that I didn't even go to my grandson's ballgame which they won. I had several discussions with them at the nursing home about some different issues all because of some not doing there job. I don't know if we were going forward or two steps backward. We go see the orthopedic doctor this Friday. We have the Oats bus taking us and not the normal one so we will see how that goes. Some of the care changes when you are forced on to medicaid.

This is what the horse arena looked like this morning after the rain last night and early this morning so needless to say the horse show was cancelled. The picture was taken by Joe Schrock . I could see my grandson and some more little ones playing in the mud and water to see who could splash the other one the most.
Last night was the birthday party for my oldest grandson. His birthday is actually the 12th. but we celebrated when we all could get together. Supper was yummy. We had barbecue ribs, baked potato casseroles . One was made with chicken soup and the other with mushroom soup. green beans, salad. veggie tray, and cherry cobbler made in the dutch oven over the coals. Oh! I forgot the garlic bread.  I brought some of the cherry cobbler home and had it for breakfast with a cup of coffee.
It was pouring down rain when I left their house. I didn't realize it was so late.  I slept in so I would have been running a little behind if they had the horse show. The first two was rained out. This next weekend they have two that are back to back. Today being there wasn't any horse show, I went to a jewelry party that my daughter was having. You build your own necklaces. They were so much fun to do. It was raining when I came home. I think I will just stay put and rest instead of going out again today.
Hope you all have a wonderful week .

A Blessing

I came home from the nursing home to hear that family in both St. Louis and Oklahoma City are o.k. Neither said if they had damage, but that can be fixed as long as everybody is o.k. that is the main thing. You can't replace people, but you can replace everything else. It just might take a while.
The sun finally came out late this afternoon, but it stayed on the cool side. They had already turned the boiler off at the nursing home to switch from winter to summer so needless to say some of the residents were complaining. My hubby had put his sweater on over his sweat shirt. He drank coffee for both breakfast and lunch to help warm him up. I was amazed that since he has been there he is drinking more coffee. Usually it would be ice tea for breakfast switching to lemonade later in the day. He never drank it much when we traveled or here at home.
We went for our tootle around the parking lot with my pushing him in his wheelchair. We didn't stay out to long because the wind was out of the northwest and it was cold. Even with the sunshine, it didn't warm up a lot today. I spent a couple of hours today with him. I didn't get up early because he had called me earlier and woke me up then I went back to sleep. I had stayed up to late last night watching movies on the Hallmark Channel so I was sleeping in or so I thought. He had visitors this morning anyways. His oldest two grandsons came to visit while their mom was visiting their other grandpa. He is getting to see more of them.
The insurance adjuster finally came to access the damage at my daughters that was a couple of weeks ago or so. They had more damage then they first thought. He said that the damage was more toward a straight line wind. Now to find someone to do the work that won't rip them off. When you get storm damage of any kind, you always get those who try to make a fast buck. They don't know what they are really doing and they want money up front. If they are really any good, they won't need the money up front. I am still waiting for them to clean some limbs up out of my yard. They keep saying that they are going to do it, but the question is when.
Hopefully we all have sunshine for awhile so the flood waters can go down and we can all dry out. Hope you all have a wonderful week. Stay safe.

Saturday, June 1, 2013

Mother Nature is at it again last night with more damage from the storms. I watch the pictures of the storm chaser caught in the tornado on the weather channel. They were really lucky that they survived. When are we going to get a break from the storms? We keep asking for the rain to stop for a while with the flooding going on in our area, and others.
My heart and prayers go out to those who have been affected with all of the damage. I haven't heard from our Oklahoma friends and family that lived in Oklahoma City. I keep praying that they are safe. We had family affected by the storm that hit St. Louis. I haven't heard from them either. I know with out electricity the Internet is out, but the cell phones keep saying all lines are busy. I know that as soon as someone hears, the chain of calls will go out.
We had sunshine for a little while today, but we had rain again and the temperature never did warm up as much as they said it would. It is suppose to get in the 40's over night. We have had some really weird weather that is for sure.
The baseball game and horse show got cancelled because of all the rain we had. Grandma's weekend wasn't exactly as planned, but nothing is ever exactly as you want at times.  I spent most of the day with my hubby. We went outside, but didn't stay long with the dark black clouds rolling in. Needless to say the rain started rather quickly after we got inside.
As Father said in Mass today, we need to pray for all of those in need. Prayer helps people get through a lot in times of disaster. People can't be replaced, but you can replace a home, car, and other things.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday a day full of sunshine, with the temperature of at least 72. Take care, precaution, and stay safe

Storms

Mother Nature hasn't been a bit particular about where she went with all the storms in Tornado Alley. There hasn't been as much damage as in Oklahoma that I heard about in our area. I talked to my sister who was in the path of a tornado, but it was close to her. She is o.k. and no damage. The rain and hail were heavy at times. Our hail was pea size so once again we were lucky in that respect. It rained so hard that you couldn't see my neighbors who's house is not that far away.
They are saying we are going to have more storming for the rest of the week. I wish it would let up a little with all the rain we have had flooding in our area on the Missouri, 102, and Platte Rivers. The rain also came so hard that some people had water in their basements. We have a little creek that is close to the house. I could see water in it from my window. I haven't seen that in a long time. I don't know how much we have got, but you could tell where it was over the streets is different areas of town. .
I spent most of the day at the nursing home. Hubby was sick yesterday with flu like symptoms and wouldn't eat. I went up to make sure that he ate something. You have to eat with all of the medications that he takes. He had soup for breakfast. I wanted to talk to the nurse to see what the doctor had to say yesterday that was going to check him out. He is feeling a little better, but they are keeping an eye on him.
Saturday is suppose to be a horse show, but with all of the rain, the arena may just be to wet . We will have to wait and see. Hope you all are having a good week. Take Care

Memorial Weekend

The cemeteries are getting so pretty with all of the flowers and flags. The traffic picked up and you knew that  was where most people were either going or coming from. It is a time to remember those that gave their lives for our freedom and those of family who have gone before us.
The little rabbit is what I saw peeking out of my neighbor's flowers this morning as I left the house. He just set there and watched me as I put my things in the car. I have several rabbits in my yard. They are liking some of the plants. It makes me wonder if I really want to try to plant any this year. I don't really have the time to take care of it.
I have been very busy running this week and had a scare. I thought maybe I had the starting of shingles, but no rash or blisters so I was lucky. I made a trip to the doctors to be on the safe side though. I got to go to my middle grandson's award assembly. Mommy couldn't go because of having to be off work so much with her dad. It was something that I had never been able to do because of working. She and I compare notes about being a caregiver. She said it was something that she never thought she would be at her age.
I went to the ballgame Friday evening and they won. They really played hard. It was a fun time then we went to supper after the game. It was grandma you are going  so I did. Last night we had a cookout and then they burned the old school building that they had knocked down so that they did not have to worry about one of the little ones getting hurt. I could see my grandson being one of the ones that would climb on the roof even though he knows that he would maybe get hurt. With it gone, they don't have to worry about it.  The wind died down so they could and you could see it for miles around. Had a lot of people who drove by to see what they was burning. Tonight after the nursing home I am going to go eat hamburgers on the grill at my son's house. They all look after me. I had to call them last night to let them know that I made it home o.k.
I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Have a safe one if you are traveling. I will be around to visit all of my friends and welcome to my new followers. You all mean the world to me.

Tornado Alley

Our day started out with a pretty day, but sure did change in a hurry. We live in what is known as Tornado Alley which the storms normally start in Oklahoma, who has had more then their share the last two days. It has been so bad and my heart and prayers goes out to them. Also Wichita, Kansas, Kansas City, and us all have had the storms some of which was more severe then others. They say ours was straight winds clocked at 72 miles a hour, but the trees looked  as though the branches were twisted off or pulled out of the ground. We had trees  down all over our city , no electrictity in certain areas.Trees on houses. I know that it got real still before it hit. There was no air moving at all. The wind didn't really sound like a train, but it howled with heavy rain and hail. It tore down big signs. The picture with the storm damage was taken at our daughter's house. Part of the roof was laying on a power line. The swing set is in shambles, but the best part was that they had just moved their camper to a new location or it would have been there by the garage. We were lucky.
My heart and prayers goes out to the people in Oklahoma and Kansas who are suffering right now. The pictures were devasting and it makes me think about our children here. None of our schools have an area to take the
kids other then the hallways in the center of the buildings. We are getting ready to build two new schools and I hope they took that in to consideration when they drew the plans.
The picture of the two wrestling is my grandson and his little friend. They don't hurt each other, but she is on him and then he is on top. They are so much alike. If you see one, the other is not that far away unless he is on his horse. They have so much fun together. Her parents call him their adopted son because all they have is girls.
They had Country Week this past week at the nursing home. They brought three tractors in for the residents to look at. They were going to have some other tractors, but they needed to be in the fields planting crops. They try to have entertainment for them. They were a 1940, 1943, and  a 1947 farmall. At least the sun was shining that day for them. They had ice cream like the ice cream social to give them good memories.
I will continue to pray for my friends and family that have gone through so much here in the last few days, Take care

Plans

The clouds are here today and I am hoping the weather stays nice at least through today and tomorrow. They are saying we are in for some severe weather. I heard on the news about Louisiana this morning. My son's phone went to voice mail so I am waiting for a call back to make sure everything is alright with him.
My heart and prayers goes out to all of those in Texas who were devastated by the tornadoes losing their homes and love ones. The storms may not last long, but they can cause tremendous amount of damage in just seconds.
This is where I will be this evening watching the ballgame. He has already invited grandma to go with them to dinner after the game. I don't know where we are going, but he will let me know. It is so much fun to watch the little ones. I still think my favorite time is when they are playing t-ball. They start them so much younger then when my kids were that age. I think sometimes they rush the little ones just to fast.  It should be a beautiful evening to set there and watch the game.
Big brother with Fergie watching his little brother in the arena. He didn't know grandma took this picture. It was his responsibilities to make sure little brother was ready to go along with the horses. Both mom and dad were busy with their responsibilities for the day. Dad is the president of the club so he had a very busy day. He finally got home that evening between 9 and 9:30. He had to make sure everybody got their horses loaded. Mom took the boys and horses home earlier.
Little brother waiting for the results of the event. You can tell that it was cold by the way everybody was dressed. The wind was so strong. There would have been no way to keep their hats on. The way it was the wind coming through the metal bleachers made you think an airplane was coming after you. The horses weren't to sure they liked that sound. I left to soon and missed my oldest grandson riding tandem with one of the girls in the games. They did a good job. They got first. The boys had a variation of ribbons and they had a good time.

I would loved to know what my youngest grandson and his little friend were talking about as they walked around the arena. They were fixing the jumps for the jumpers that day so the kids were out there. At least you knew where they were at. They spent the day together excepting when he was showing. She didn't get to show because they were having problems with her horse so they left it home. They didn't want anybody to get hurt.

Lady went back to the farm, she could not get along with Fergie. She tried kicking her way out of the pen and in the process got hurt. She looks a great deal like Cleo in color.
I have a craft show tomorrow. I am doing it so that I can be invited back to do one in the fall. We are inside for which I am thankful for. I have to decide what I want to donate as a door prize. Well I need to get my running done . Have a great weekend and enjoy the sun shine and fresh air.
